As I said in that post, I was saying they invented metal to stress my point. By that I didn't mean that they were the first to ever write anything even relatively close to metal and that they didn't have any influences. In fact, I usually find myself protecting Led Zeppelin as a metal influence in the metal forum.

I've hardly found anyone in the forum that doesn't acknowledge them as influential to metal, it's just that not all people there know that influential classic rock bands are allowed.

Ah, yes, that's what I meant.. I got my sentenced mixed up. People flame others for posting about them, and they automatically assume that the thread starter believes that they're metal.

Immaculate Stone Has anyone seen "The Rolling Stone's Rock n Roll Circus"? The footage with the Who is some of the best playing I've ever seen. I have never heard of it. I shall definitely add it to my Christmas list, seeing as the Rolling Stones + the Who = the Awesome.
