mandrake is a great yet dangerous coise for if not used properly it can be very poisoness also taking to much of it can be fatal but ya besides tat its good for protection rituals but only if u know how to handle mandrake

Jess and I finished planting today... Yesterday and today (both could technically be considered Ostara) It was heaps or fun =)
Much more fun than a lazy inside day... I expected it all to take longer though... It took my forever to remove the old stuff tho O_o

EDIT: The old rosemary got dug out and I spent ages chopping it into sprigs... it was huge btw... I ended up, after chopping things up a bit so I only had thinner branches of it with alot of leaves...etc (and throwing alot out) we had an averflowing plastic bag full...
We then tied them up in bunches using twine... and then more twine to hang them up from the roof in in... effectively a second garage area out the back of her house... it's now hanging up there to dry... except a tiiiny bit we're keeping fresh. yay.

Unfortunately, I think the cats may have eaten the catnip o_o;; Either that, or i got more munched when it fell over than I remember...

You could make the gate itself, as a seperate piece, and perhaps use twine, or reeds (Vaughan's idea (about a different thing)) to tie it loosely to one side of the gap- hinges. I know how to make a latch of sorts out of twine as well, if you're interested.

Everything's going realy great, and I have a spot where I can dry them really effectively too. Only problem is... What do I do with them now!? redface

Looking good, you've got a nice selection of herbs there.... As for what to do with them, you can put them in labelled jars to store, use them to make insence, spell sachets, as offerings to the earth if you work outside, mix them with a little oil to annoint candles and things. There's so much you can do with fresh herbs once you have them.

n_n I've found that Alchohol bottles are the most interesting ones! (I like the idea of storing them in pretty bottles and or jars. n_n) o_o; I've got an old sherry bottle that I'm putting all the dried rosemary that I photographed in (that's only half of it in the photo!), and my mum's found another bottle (this one was a dressing, not alchohol ninja ) that's really nice that I'm gunna put some lavender that I'm drying in. =D It's a little sad, but I think I'm going to make my parents buy their alchohol by what has the most interesting bottle. o_O;;;

I like the Fennel alot. xd Every time I see it, it suprises me with its size. o_o And recently the Marigolds have decided to flower en masse, and they do look sooo pretty! heart

I had known of using the herbs as offerings, and storing them in jars/bottles, but I hadn't thought about sachets, oils, or pillows. At some stage I had thought about Insence, and got a method for making it off of one of my friends, but that's about as far as I got. sweatdrop
