Katie snickers softly at what Feline says about Vestakia and grinned down at Dustling as well. Though, when she started talking about Nyx, she straightened up some and listened. She looked down at the Comet Serpent in her arms and gave her head another little pat. “Hear that, Nyx? I can hardly believe your growing up so fast.”
The young serpent looked up at her owner this time, understanding that they were talking about her, and from the tones, good things as well. That cheered her up a little. Nyx looked down at Vestakia and gave her as much of a grin as she could manage. She could only guess that the other female was jealous, though she couldn’t get why. Though, when Katie set her down on the ground again, she let out a loud squeak and hid behind Katie’s legs, not wanting to be right out in the open with the decidedly bigger creature around.
Katie had set Nyx down so she could hold the purple dustpan, staring down at the yellow dust with no small amount of wonder. “Wow... I still can’t believe I found a winged dustling dragon.” She gave the professor another grin before saying, “I’m going to take really good care of it, I promise. And I’ll be sure to tell you when she grows.”

Steal Lux smiled and nuzzled her side. "I understand that, I just wish you to know, that when the time comes that one of your own kind finds you and wins your heart, I will be glad for you. Until then, I am honored to be a friend and be able to be close to you." He looked at the fox, trying to show her how deeply and truely he ment what he was saying, whilst at the same time fighting down the evil green beast rearing inside of him that ordered him to keep her near at all times, so that she could never meet anyone that may win her heart. Memory fell in love right then and there. "That... is possibly the sweetest thing I've ever heard..." Well... she wasn't sure it was love, but Lux touched something in her heart. She smiled and leaned up and kissed Lux's beak again. "I'm glad then." She wanted to know more about him now though, "Do you have any family or clan mates?" She was part of a clan, she had pretty much been inducted into it right away when her human brought her home. She was begining to think Lux was a loner though. She should still take him home to meet the other at least... she could do that later though, she was just enjoying being in Lux's company.

There was that kissing again, those soft bits of contact that made him even more fiercely possessive of the sweet fox. "Clan... no, I guess not. I mean, I know that there are others that live around me. A baby fox, a... strange dark, sinister fox, two dark twins that like taunting.. but they are not really part of my clan. I guess I am a clan of one.... or perhaps two.." He looked at Memory and nuzzled her side. Glanceing around a bit he noticed a building, one he had avoided alot, and he nodded toward it. "Now is around the time Echo's starts to fly.. he is.. well he is one I didn't mention. He is.. rather nuts. It would be a good thing if we hid out of his line of sight." He nodded to the building. "In there may be a good place.. if.. you want."

Memory listened intently, his family sounded strange. But then again, her large extended family could be quite strange themselves. She couldn't help but giggle at the description of Echos though. But there was some curiosity, "What's wrong with him?" She looked over to the building Lux nodded to and then smiled a bit, "That's where my human picked me up. The lady there is real nice." She got up and stretched her legs and her wings, before she started trotting towards the building. She hadn't in that place long, her human had came and picked her up really quickly.

Lux followed closely behind the fox, looking around as he attempted to think of a non insulting way to explain Echos. "Well, he is .. a half breed, but worse than that he is half fire and half ice. So I don't know what happened in his mind. I think his calm and violent natures got split as well." Lux slipped into the facility and looked around, sniffing at things. "I don't think I had ever been in here before. What happens in here?" He rose on his back legs and tried to look at some tables. "It looks and smells kind of strange..." The shimmering Kanji marked Dustling looked at the fox. "Do you recall much of what this was for Memory?" He was of course assumeing she would know more than he.

A deafening crash broke the silence that had been invading the facility. Vestakia, awoken by the talk of other stardust creatures, had stumbled down the stairs in a fit of both protectiveness and half-asleep hysteria.
She rolled into the middle of the lab, noticed Lux and Memory, and blinked. She disappeared back up the stairs, followed by a curious Professor Feline.
"Oh.. I recognize that fox..." she murmured, setting her clipboard down on a counter.

Memory's sensitive ears flattened at the loud sound and she puffed up and darted behind Lux. She peeked her head back out just as Professor Feline reappeared and she gave a loud chirp and came about from behind Lux. "Lux, this is Professor Feline." She looked back at Lux then back at Feline. She was kind of lost as to what to do now.

Lux stiffened a moment at the sound of something comeing, and as soon as Memory darted behind him, he fluffed up, makeing sure to properly shelter her with his form. At the mention of that being someone that Memory at least had some knowledge of, he shifted a bit, still saying very close and protective of the fox. "You know the human?" He asked in his soft purring voice, his feathery tail wrapping around the fox. The kanji marked male seemed very obviously unnaturally protective of the fox he was with, he was not about to move away from her for anyone. "No worries Memory, if anything here attacks, I will hold it off until you can get out of here. It is my fault we are in here afterall."

Professor Feline cocked her head at the couple. "How odd, a fox and a dustling being so close to one another. You hate Merp and Zureus, eh Vestakia?"
Vestakia looked up, questioningly.
Zureus, as if summoned by the mere mention of his name, slinked down the stairs and rubbed his furry forehead against Feline's leg. He was never usually affectionate, but upon noticing the exotic specimen of fox that was Memory, he quickly decided to put on his charming facade.
"What're you two doing here?" Feline asked them, smiling, not expecting an answer. She turned towards her counter to get them each a bowl of food in case they were hungry.
Zureus eyed the female hiding behind the dustling carefully, not even noticing Lux existed.

Memory nodded, "Yeah, my human and her are friends too." She moved out from behind Lux to sit next to him, her wings fluffing a little bit in order to get the feathers to lay flat once more. She watched Zureus now, he seemed nice and she chirped a greeting to him, "Hello!" She was getting a bit of a wierd vibe though and blinked as Zureus completely ignored Lux and focused his entire attention on her.

Lux just carefully wrapped his tail closer to Memory, not stopping her from talking to the other if she wanted to, but watching the other fox with a level of wariness. He leaned over and licked one of the female vulpine's ears. "Is that also someone you know?" He asked softly, murring lightly into her ear.
It was a bit galling that the other was not paying him any mind, but he knew better than to make a scene. If this was one of Memory's friends he was not going to start acting like a jerk. The things was, the green eyed monster in him was there again. Sure he had said that he would back off if she met another she liked, but part of him didn't want to in the least.
