I love to borrow books from the library. It's the main source of all the literature I read. Heck, I'll pluck anything off the shelves if it looks interesting enough. I've read a lot of good books that I just borrowed randomly off the shelf before. Because my school library is so understocked and I can't borrow them for as long, I go to the public one. Even if I get fined often coz I can't seem to return them on time. xp

My Library doesn't stock books fast enough. I wanted to get a Memoir from the Library (It was at Barnes and Noble but I didn't have the money), and they didn't have it, although it was a year old.
Other than that, my Library is great for more... Popular books.

I live right down the street from a library, so I am constantly reading books from there.

Weeji My friend gave me one of those rubber wrist band things and it says I <3 Libraries. And it's fluro (spelling, please?) green. biggrin I would like to have one of those wrist bands. 3nodding It's shocking, but right now I have only two books checked out from the library. Usually I have at least four or five on average. Why so few now? I'm trying to wean myself of it so that I can read more of the books that I own.

I have this problem when I go to the library: I always check out way too many books and then I end up not reading most of them.

Not.So.Little I have this problem when I go to the library: I always check out way too many books and then I end up not reading most of them. Nice Edward icon wink Sometimes I do the same thing at the library so I try not to take out too many books the next time I visit.

my school library is pretty much the only place i get books from, which can be bad if they don't have a book i want. the library in my town has a lot of good books but my family goes there together every now and then and we (me and my four other siblings) all take a small stack of books each so then we've got a lot and sometimes loose them or forget to return them for few weeks. late fees, many many late fees.

I'm still trying to spend more time reading my own books instead of constantly checking books out at the library. However, I am allowing myself the small indulgence of a book about Ancient Egypt. It discusses Egyptian monotheism and also contains translations of hymns to Amen and Aten. Interesting, ne?

Fantasy Moon Fairgrass Zizzykitty I never go to the library, it is like my mortal enemy. It's not that I hate books it's that I hate fines. I can never seem to get my books back on time so I always manage to get some sort of fine. I always forget the books aren't mine or I loose them so I don't go to the library anymore. I just borrow books from freinds because then I won't have to return them in 2 weeks or whatever I keep them until she gets mad and asks for them back or I just finish it and remember the book isn't mine. At the library in my new town, they don't even use due date cards inside the books anymore. They just print out a receipt with the date on it. This isn't very good for me, since I'll go to the library once a week, and have a few different piles of library books. Now I have to remember which books I checked out at which times. sad Same here. However, I can check my account on the library's website too. I also made it so that reminders on due books come to my e-mail a few days ahead of time. I don't have a budget to accomodate my book needs either. The entire staff of the public library is familiar with me so they know I usually come to check out several books at a time. xd At my place they know me too. But it isn't such a big library. I always borrow books before I buy them, exept for the Banned and the Bannished, I bought those without reading them after I read book 2. I have had book 5 for a while now and still haven't read it stressed
Just a tip, if you keep forgetting which book has to go back when. Why don't you take a notice-board and put those receipts on it. I always do that. Or you can make a list and put it on there, that way you can't forget it. Especially if you take a magnettic one, and stick it onto your wardrobe door smile

If I bought all the books I read, I'd read my family out of house and home. I go to the library every week, if not more. When I get a car, and can drive, I predict that I will practically live at the library.
