This is a lovely tutorial, but I'm still super confused! @_@ I've tried to understand perspective for a long time, and your tute helped bunches, but I'm afraid my results never turn out well (though I've practiced a lot). I've been trying to draw a present for a friend of her avatar from a view slightly above and to the side (if that makes any sense), but I can't seem to get it right. Any help you can give would be highly appreciated.

Oh, this has been very helpful indeed! I suck at perspective. XD But I keep trying. Like when I've tried the fist picture, I always put the lines in odd places and it ends up looking like.. well, like I just put them anywhere. XD Will more practice solve this or am I just thinking about it the wrong way? xD

How can you make sure then when you're doing perspective shots, you aren't making things that should be bigger too big, and things that should be smaller too small? I've only tried a couple myself, but I get really frustrated with many an end product because I make the mistake of incredibly big... feet for example, and a smallish head that ends up making the character look much taller than they are...
The tutorial is superb, though <3 And very appreciated.

It comes with experience and know-how. ^_^ No matter how many tutorials you read.. that's something that you simply have to learn on your own.

great tutorial. What i enjoy the most was the arrows. It shows the curves of the character and most people forget about that when they do stick bases. Its all about going with the motion of the character.
