Reign clambered up her mother again, peering into the distance at the approaching figure. "It looks like a mommy!" She declared, loudly, in Niki's ear, which the woman took to mean that the person was female. How so very helpful.
Nikiana rubbed her left ear (the victim of her daughter's yell) as she watched the person grow closer. It was a woman, which was a relief. It meant that this person could very well be the girl's mother.

Papina blinked as she turned her face upwards to follow Reign's movements and turned back towards the approaching figure to look again before quickly sidestepping to hide behind Reign's mommy. Her voice emerged in a timid, scared whisper, "You don't suppose my mommy is angry at me for dissappearing, do you, Reign?"
Alarai came up to the now duo and blinked at the sight of a chimp girl clinging to another woman. She shook her head slightly and faced the woman directly to ask, "Have you seen my... um..." She blushed, knowing how bad this would sound, but had no other way to describe her, "My scroll child? She's about yay high," she raised one shopping bag-filled hand to roughly Papina's height, "has green hair and is very, very, very," she sighed, then finished, "very active." She then mumbled under her breath, "And I hope she hasn't disturbed you or she is in big trouble..." She would have palmed her face if she could have lifted the shopping bags high enough - and long enough - to do so.

Reign peered down her mother's back at Papina. "Maybe.... Mommies get mad for silly reasons."
Niki decided to ignored that comment from her daughter as the other woman got closer. Nikiana grinned. "My shadow looks a lot like what you described."
Reign thought for a moment on Alarai's description of Papina. "Does she mean you?" The chimp girl asked of the ivy girl.

Papina "Hmmmm..."d softly in response to Reign's answer as she waited for her mommy to come closer. She then winced at the mumbled words at the end, and blinked, tilting her head up at Reign's question. Of course Mommy meant her. "Yes," she whispered to Reign before returning her gaze to her mommy.
Alarai grinned back in relief at Niki's response. She didn't sound angry or annoyed. That was always a good sign. Plus she seemed to have a scroll child of her own, if the chimp girl in a dress was anything to go by. Very, very good sign. She placed one handful of bags down then held out her hand to the other woman. "In that case, hello, I'm called Eagleyes and the kiddling I described is called Papina. She wouldn't happen to be hiding behind you, is she?" She leaned slightly to one side and directed her voice towards Papina. "It's ok. You can come out. I'm not mad at you."
Papina squirmed, then side-stepped, wishing Reign was on the ground so she could hide behind her. She blushed hotly, scruffing a toe against the ground as she watched the grass with facination. Mommy may not be mad at her, but she would still have to leave Reign to go home... "Wanna stay with Reign more," was the soft, almost unheard breath Papina let out.

Niki grinned back at the other woman. "I'm Nikiana and this little scroll girl here is Reign." Nikiana nodded at the woman's question, peering over her shoulder to... get a good view of her own daughter's butt. Sighing, she turned her head forward once again.

((*twitchtwitchspaz* Yes, been awhile. sweatdrop I'm sorry... It took me this long to think up what to do in response... ><))
Alarai twitched her nose at Papina. "Yes, well... We need to get home. All your stuff is coming, remember? We need to get home and get it all inside."
Papina dragged her foot along the ground once more, following it with her eyes, before looking up at Alarai with a sigh, then turning to face Reign. "We see each other again, right?" Her voice sounded hopeful.
Alarai quirked an eyebrow at Niki's reaction to Reign. "Well, it's nice to meet you two, but Papina and I really should be heading home." She mock-rolled her eyes. "We just got her a bunch of stuff and had to have some of it delivered, so..." She grinned ruefully. "I guess we'll be seeing each other again, won't we? Those two sure seem to like each other, and I'd hate to get in the way of a new friendship."

((*pats*))
Reign had scampered down her mother (What was she? A climbing post??) to scoot over to Papina. The chimp girl frowned as it seemed that her friend would be leaving. "Right!" She declared, looking back at her mother.
Niki smiled at Alarai. "Yes, friends are a nice thing to have. And," she looked at Reign, "we'd best be getting home to eat some lunch."
Reign cheered up at that and climbed back up her mother, then waved at Papina and Alarai. "Bye~!"

Alarai smiled more naturally at Niki's words. "Too true. Well, I guess we'd best get going. Papina?" She looked at Papina as she held out her hand.
Papina cheered up as well at that and gave Reign a goofy grin before she scooted over to her mom. "Bye!" She waved back at Reign and put her hand in her mom's as Alarai started towards home.
