Also, keep in mind that posts always go down in the summer. It's just the expected fluctuation as ppl go on vacations, etc. and their normal schedule is disrupted. things will pick up in the fall...

Actually, things pick up better in the summer, or so it seems to me. More people on vacation from school with more time to spend online. 3nodding

I have no time during the school year because of my evil evil program... I'm really enjoying the freedom to learn at my own pace in the summer^-^. (That and getting to post on Gaia razz )

-Falls over- Okay, I was reading the posts and was determined to read them all before posting my opinion but...there were too many filled with too much. rolleyes
First off: I think you should stop sending random invites to people. You may end up dragging some n00bs here. And not to mention, it makes you guys look desperate and it can get annoying. Also, if you allow folks to find you or people invite their friends, there's a greater chance of the person being active.
Second of all: Start kicking members that are not active. There's no reason to have the UBER person count if no one posts. >.<
Third: Having contests can be nice. Even though others haven't bothered in the past, you can still hold them and perhaps after a while more people will become interested.
And yes, school affects time spent on the computer. Huzzah for Summer Vacation.

And yes, school affects time spent on the computer. Huzzah for Summer Vacation. Chances are you are only here because of a random invite, most of the active people hear came from being randomly invited and so far so good, no one has sent me a message saying they were annoyed by the random invite, in fcat I've gotten alot of thank yous for the random invites. Its not like I'm inviting just anybody from n00b type threads, I go into literate threads made in the CB and pick literate people, when I don't have the time to do that I look at the name of the thread and if its not a n00b type thread I invite the topic started and the last person to post so long as thier name doesn't look like 'cUtIegurl93' or something that just screems n00b like that. And besides when one gets in all it takes is one click and they are gone forever! And there are 100's if not 1000's of guilds one would have to look through before seeing this one when just browsing, it would takes forever to just wait, we had the guild up for a year and no one came until the random invites started. And as for contests give us some ideas of what you think would work, if one seems like it would work and we could do it then we will, and hey if your good at the contest thing it would be a big help to the guild to get a crew member who was pretty much stickly working on contests and that sort of stuff. If your into running contests then put up your ideas and if there good and your willing to run them I'm sure Lady Sickness would have no problem bumping you up to crew status.
