Kamiki walked into Kitsu's room one afternoon, something hidden behind her back. Mai-Ly was sitting in the corner reading, and politely excused herself when Kamiki entered.
Kitsu was sitting on the floor, her sketch book and crayons spread out in front of her. She was currently trying to draw her little purple froggie that she had gotten for Christmas, but the slippery little amphibian kept hopping around.
"Hey baby, why don't you put the froggie away and come talk to me for a second?"
Noticing Kamiki has her arms behind her back, Kitsu knew this probably meant she was going to get a present! Quickly depositing the tree frog back in her terrarium, she trotted over to her mother expectantly.
Kamiki pulled her arms from behind her back to reveal a beautiful creature called a Dream.

About the size of a parrot, the feathered creature spread her wings as she was revealed, looking curiously at Kitsumai.
Kitsu's eyes went wide- she had never seen anything quite like this thing before. It looked alive.. like a bird, but its feet were metallic, and joints seemed to swivel on nuts and bolts.
"This is a Dream, Kitsumai. She doesn't eat normal food like your lizard or your frog. She eats emotion. She ears Affection. That means the more you love her and take care of her, the bigger and stronger you'll grow! Do you understand?"
The little tuar nodded her head. She held her arm questioningly, holding it out like she saw Kamiki doing.
Skye, the dream, cocked her head consideringly before hopping over to the little girl in a fluid motion. She was incredibly light for her size, and rested easily on the small arm. Face to face, Skye looked over her new charge thoroughly.
Smiling from ear to ear, Kitsumai reached out to gently stroke it along the neck. Making a chiming, chirpy noise of approval, the Dream leaned into the touch, ruffling its wing feathers a bit.
"I think you two will get along swell," Kamiki smiled she sat down to watch the two of them a while.

Pink Lemonade Pink swung open the driver side door to her brand new car, Della almost flying off of her hear. At the same time, all the other doors opened with her's. Mesmerelda, Ursa, and Guinevere, with the help of Cheska who opened their door and let her ride on her back, all hopped out of the car and bounded after Pink toward the door to one of their friend's house. There were many on the list of stops that day and they had only just begun! Pink got there first, having a head start and all and rang the door bell. Moments later nobody came, and pressing their ears to the door, they heard nothing from inside. "They must be out doing the same thing we're doing Mom." Ursa pointed out. "Excellent point!" Pink said and left their present on the door with a note. "They'll get it as soon as they get home. Now quick! Everyone to the car, we have no time to waste!" And with that, they raced off, hopped in, and Pink sped off to the next house. Quote: Dear Kamiki and Kitsumai, Here's just a little something to celebrate the loving time of the year and hopefully to let you forgive my horrible memory of all the other holidays we forgot to commemorate with gifts. Happy Singles Awareness Day! <3 Pink, Ursa, Guinevere, Mesmerelda, Della

Kamiki Kamiki walked into the room looking a bit haggard. It had been a very busy weekend: sorting throug dozens of long applications really got to her. Feeling a bit guilty about neglecting her children with all the work, she convinced herself to take a break from reading applications at the GMFC and take Kitsumai out for some interaction.
The little centuar was, as always, happy to see a change in environment. She trotted into the room, for the first time not clining shyly to her mother's hand. DivineSaturn Finally! Letting out a soft laugh, Karan scooted himself back. They were picking up the game slowly again, which was good, since his hands were still stinging. It would only take a single thrust to send it towards Gwee.
He never managed to do that though, as this time he was the one distracted by the newcomer. This one was unfamiliar, and looked very interesting! She (was it a she?) looked a little bigger than him, and she didn't have any clothes. The ball hit Karan's foot, bringing his mind back to the game, but only barely. Distracted, he sent the ball towards Guinivere, waving at the newcomer once that task was done.
Pink Lemonade Guinevere looked at the ball as it came at her and amazingly, stretched her hands out to it and caught it! She did a little dance, twiriling around in a circle when she saw the newcomer! She recognized that legend. She made pretty pictures in a notebook last time she saw her. She waved her hands about, trying to call her over, before she tossed the ball happily back to Levi, wondering if he could catch it with as much skills as she possessed! (( xd )) Pink laughed. "No matter what anyone does, as long as they are cute and loveable, it makes up for it, hmm?" DivineSaturn It was hard to know whether to be happy or upset. On the one hand, he was making lots of new friends. On the other, his new friend Lei was being dragged away! Pouting as the ball rolled off towards the door, a spark of hope lit up. Maybe the girl would bring it? "Baa?" he queried, pointing to the sphere that was slowly coming to a halt.
Kamiki Kitsumai's tails waved back and forth as she saw a legend she remembered. She waved, but didn't know exactly what to do next. She pawed the ground with her hoof and made a few steps towards Guinevere. Pink Lemonade "Hewooooo!" Guinevere called toward the girl and crawled toward her, forgetting about the ball after she waved goodbye to Levi DivineSaturn Bah, they were forgetting about the game! Maybe it was all for the best, since Lei was gone. After a moment's debate, he decided that they tied and crawled towards the girls. Maybe they'd do something else now.
Pink Lemonade Guinevere stared at the journal. She remembered that picture from before too, she just never tried to sound it out. "Kitsumay?" She asked, not sure if she said it right and wanting to say it right. DivineSaturn Karan peered at the pad the new girl was holding out. It was a bunch of scribbles, and a drawing that looked like... well, her. Maybe the scribbles were her name? Not that he could read it. But it seemed Gwee could. She was saying something long, and the stuff on the paper was long. His face scrunched up a little as he tried to say it. "Kaii?" Whatever, that was close enough.
"Pway?"
Kamiki Kitsumai opened her mouth as of to correct Guin, but no sound came out. Looking a bit frustrated she just shrugged and nodded. It was close enough anyway. Not that she really cared what people called her.
She smiled at Karan's suggestion to "pway." She nodded, looking between him and Guin expectantly.

Kitsumai wandered over into Kamiki's lap, disturbing her reading of GMFC applications.
"Hello there, dear," she mused, setting down the paper.
Kitsumai help up her pad to her mother proudly. The entire capitol letter alphabet was scrawled across in green crayon. Kitsu looked so proud she could bust at the seems.
"Good girl, Kitsumai!" Kamiki gushed, hugging her. "You're doing so well."

jacknblack Quest time! The crayons in which Kamiki has given to Kitsumai have some kind of powers to help Kitsumai draw. This also brings out how well she's been able to communicate with Kamiki. Her writing skills have increased tremendously. Kitsumai was walking around her room when she spots a very beautiful diary ? She writes in it, but nothing shows up. Show the legend's that Kitsumai is a tough cookie and very smart! How does she solve this problem, and what happens?
Good luck!

For being so young, Kitsumai was learning fast. Her walls were papered with brightly colored panels of sketch paper, all pin cushioned up with loads of love. Kitsu's drawing was her life?her way to communicate to the world where her voice had failed her. While she was younger, she simply drew things she saw, such as a pretty flower or a bird pecking at the ground outside. But recently, her art had become more insightful. She had began to draw the things she was feeling, imagining. Unicorns and rainbows and great waterfalls on her happy days, and sad, ugly things when she was down.
She was learning her letters quite well, too, but obviously whenever given the chance, Kitsu loved to draw more than write. Kamiki, regardless, was impressed with her progress. She could write out the whole alphabet, and spell a growing number of words daily.
One afternoon, Kitsumai drew a picture of some milk and cookies, then promptly tore out the page, wrote "PLEASE MOMMY" across the top in red crayon and deposited in Kamiki's lap where she was reading over some paperwork from her shop.
So subtlety wasn't her strong suit. "Fine, fine," she said to little taur, tossling her purple hair as she stood up, stretching. Kitsu clapped her chubby little hands together in pleasure as Kamiki disappeared down the hallways, heading for the kitchen.
Sitting back down on her belly to draw, Kitsu's ears perked up as she heard something from outside. Like a tap on her window, or something. Getting back up on her tripod-ish legs, she trotted over to her large window to find it was open. Kitsu gave the window sill a strange look. She hadn't remembered it being open before?? Reaching up as far as her arms could reach, she finally grabbed hold of the window's base and pulled it close; her face contorted in a silent grunt.
As the window slid back into place, Kitsu's hoof brushed up against something. At her feet lay the most gorgeous book Kitsu had ever seen. She learned down and picked up it? it was black, leather, with gold and silver designwork across the binding. She traces her fingers along the texture before opening it. It was blank.
A blank book? A DIARY! More paper Kitsu could write and color in!! She pranced around excitedly, then dived into her Emo bag, digging for her favorite colored crayon: purple.
Finding her well-loved beauty, she opened the diary and wrote "I belong to: Kitsumai" on the inside of the front cover. At least?she tried to. Nothing appeared. Confused, she tried again. Still nothing. Then she tried with a different colored crayon. Still nothing. Frustrated, she grabbed the book and ran out the door to find Mommy.

The Move Kamiki and Gavin move out of their Gambino estate, and move in with Sabin to his manor in DuremKamiki Kamiki hefted the heavy box and loaded it into the truck. She was almost done...finally. Even with the hired help (what do you know, n00b refugees ARE good for something), it had taken hours. The movers left over an hour ago by now, hungrily heading off towards the Marketplace with their newly aquired gold. There were only a few boxes left. Kamiki was exhausted, taking a moment to lean up against the fence. Her hair was pulled back into pigtails, and her cutoff shorts and tied up top gave her a cute farmer's-daughter look that was grabbing the attention of more than a couple of the passerbys walking past Kamiki's large Gambino estate. Gavin Gavin toddled up the drive, a box of toys in his arms. He threw it hasitly into the truck, a pout planted firmly on his face. Sabin *Sabin, wiping sweat from his brow with a sigh walked up behind Kamiki and wrapped a sweaty arm around her exposed midrift* Wow.... it's all in there.... somehow... *Sabin shook his head, still not quite sure about the physics that managed to pack up Kamiki's.... "extended" wardrobe, furniture, and all of the myriad belonging of her unnumberable pets, not to mention PurrPurr AND Gavins' room* *Sabin quirked an eyebrow at Gavin* Now what was all that about? Gavin Gavin whined, kicking a rock across the yard. "I don't see why we have to move." Kamiki "Hey, baby. We're doing this for you, you know?" Kamiki frowned, her hands wandering to a smooth peice of crystal - one of the few that weren't shattered that she found in Purr's old room, reminants of on of Morion's gifts to her. Sabin *Sabin blinked at Gavin's outburst* Gavin! You don't want to move in with me?? Mommy and Daddy living in the same house? And I've got a NICE place out in Durem... which is far more interesting than Gambino Island any day. Kamiki Kamiki shot a glare over to Sabin. She was actually quite fond of her Gambino home. Not to mention... MOST of the tower rubble managed to miss her place... AND it had great shopping. Gavin Gavin shrugged. "I don't see the problem with you two living apart. Now you'll be all kissy and stuff more. AND I liked having two rooms." Sabin *Sabin shrugged amiably, fond of the more atmoshpheric and (mock) historical feel of Durem. It reminded him more of 'home" - where or whenever his concept of home lay.* *Sabin couldn't help but chuckle* Well, now you'll have one bigger room. I set aside a place on the top story - your own loft, far away from all the mushy "kissy" stuff. You can see all of Durem from that window. Besides, I think you'll like it more. Gavin He sighed and shrugged. " I guess so. But like... I dunno. My rooms were both really big. And now I'll only have one. Cuz mom already told me I can't have Purrpurr's room." He stuck out his tongue in distaste. Sabin Well... Purrpurr may be coming back some day... how would YOU like it if you went to camp or something and I leased yours out to a family of toads? *Sabin poked Gavin in the ribs with a smile* Gavin "Seems like a big "Maybe" to me." -.- Kamiki Kamiki's eye twitched and her hand tightening around the crystal shard into a fist. Sabin *Sabin frowned, thinking about the empty room that had been lying vacant in his own house for some time... as much as he'd deny it, he missed another presence in the house. Someone to talk to over breakfast, to scare in the middle of the ni.... He shook his head* Gavin... *he said sternly* She's your sister. You shouldn't speak like that. Kamiki Kamiki frowned. "Gavin, go pack up your last couple of toys. I want to talk to Daddy for a moment." Gavin Gavin rolled his eyes and spun around, heading back towards the hosue. Sabin *Sabin frowned, and slid his hands into his pockets, giving Kamiki a sympathetic look* ... I'm sure she'll be back, honey... Kamiki Kamiki slid into his arms. "But... how will this look? Me moving away. You don't think that looks like I've given up on her?" Sabin *Sabin shakes his head* No... no.. of course not... we're not leaving her, just relocating. She'll understand. Especially when she sees the room you're setting up for her.. *Sabin cupped his hand under Kamiki's chin and forced her to look him in the eye* You love her, and she knows that.... I... I just hope they come back soon.... I'm worried about them... .it's been so long... Kamiki Kamiki sighed. "Are you sure about this? I mean.. we've been talking about this for months... and here we are.." Sabin *Sabin smiled widely* Exactly! Here we are. You're going to love it. My estate is large, I've got plenty of land, and the manor is great - I'm just glad I got it when I did. *Sabin lowered his voice to an excited whisper* It's even got secret passages. I'll have to show you a few of them sometime *he winked* Kamiki Kamiki gave a smile and nod. "You're right... it'll be great." She leaned up and gave him a quick kiss. "You have to be promise to be nice to Simon." Sabin *Sabin smiled, though the smile faltered a bit at Simon's name* Ugh... why does he have to move in with us too...? Can't he find a nice vixen somewhere? Kamiki "Hey, he's been the best housesevant I've ever had. And babysitter. Really... he's really wonderful to have around." Sabin *Sabin nodded* yeah, yeah... I guess so... but I've got some good houseservants of my own... Kamiki Kamiki nudged him. "You'll learn to love him, I promise. Let's go help our son finish up. Its getting late." Kamiki kissed his cheek then headed back towards the near-empty house. She was definately going to miss this place. Sabin Well... we'll see about that. Tolerate, maybe. But love? I think you're pushing it ^_~ *Sabin nudged her and went back with her to get the last couple boxes*

Simon's Journal Dear Journal,
I introduced Vasile and Vastella to Kitsumai today. Kitsu is a very interesting little girl that Kamiki adopted some time ago. Well, I don't know if I should really say "little," she's growing into quite a beautiful young woman. The lady is like a .. kitsune/kirin cross, and a taur to boot. Its quite fascinating. She has four legs and two arms, and three tails! Anyway, she's also mute. No one really knows why, she just..well, has never spoken a word to us. Though, its amazing how well she can still communicate. Body language really plays a part. And what she can't express to us via body language or facial expressions, she likes to draw picture and write. She's working on her letters, and getting quite good.
Anyway, she had a blast with the babies, and they seemed to really like her as well. She sat down and let the babies climb on her and "ride" her like a horse. Well, pretend to. They are far to young for me to feel comfortable with Kitsumai actually riding her around. Maybe when they get alittle a bigger, if Kitsu is still up for challenge. But anyway, even if they did have to stay stationary, they seemed to have fun. Kitsu was even a doll and tolerated with Vasile pulling on her hair and fur... a lot. And Vastella tried chewing on her dragon's tail a few times. A swear that little girl has an oral fixation.
Hmm. Hopefully that will be remedied before she discovers boys.
Oh god, I can't start thinking about that kind of stuff yet, I'll go crazy.
Anyway, I think the twins are really starting to feel like they are home. That’s comforting.
Until next time,
-Simon
