Haeo doesn't even stir. He is obviously exhaused and had probably passed out even before the shockwave hit him. The bleeding has stopped from most of his more minor injuries but a couple of the shards of ice in his back have fresh blood around them. They are starting to melt now but are resisting the warmth more than normal ice would.
Haeo's breathing is steady and his muscles are relaxed, almost completely limp. Even if he was awake he would have difficulty moving enough to help Etain. The extent to which his body has been drained is extreme. When he was awake he was well able to hide his fatigue but in unconsciousness the full extent of the price for what he has been doing is clearly visible.

With a sigh - she was no healer or medic and you'd think fate would well know that by now - she gently raised his head and coaxed in some of the potion. It was a numbing draught, meaning it would take care of the pain. Earlier, she'd possessed some stuff for completely absolving injuries, but it was now gone, lost amid the previous chaos.
So, the next step she set about to was bandaging him. Again, she was no medic or healer, but she thought she did a pretty good job regardless. It involved removing his shirt to get where the majority of the cuts were in his back. When she was done, she lowered his body against the ground.
Tiredly, she walked to the tree. The sword was tightly wedged in. After several minutes of groaning, sweating and pulling, she realized that she wasn't going to make any real progress there.
Dammit, I'm not a warrior. I'm just an ordinary elven peddler/occassional thief. How'd I get into this situation?

Haeo doesn't respond visibly when Etain manages to administer some of the numbing agent, although it does have a positive effect. He did faintly groan as she removed his shirt in order to bandage his injuries. She was rather gentle during the process and he made no noise indicative of pain during the actual bandaging of his many injuries. He exhales faintly in a sigh as he is lowered to the ground. His skin still has the pallor of exhaustion but the bleeding from his injuries soon stops. None of the injuries were very bad and it will take relatively little time to recover from them.
Haeo's sword is firmly embedded and would be difficult to remove, even for a man with double Etain's strength. The shining metal seems to wink in a faintly mocking manner at her efforts as the blade sits snugly in the tree's heart. The wind flows faintly in a steady breeze, forming ripples on the surface of the water and disturbing some of the smaller pieces of debris.

After a little more tugging, Etain finally stops for good. There was no way she was going to get something that heavy and thoroughly imbedded out of its position. In the meantime, it would be best to take care of things she could control.
Like sleep.
Now that she'd tended to Haeo's more immediate, grisly wounds, she found that she herself was succumbing a little bit to exhaustion. She hadn't just spent a day in the hot springs, after all. She was fairly scratched up herself and was tired both physically and mentally, the emphasis being on the latter since she was now very worried about all her comrades.
Two might be lost forever, and who knows if the third will ever wake up...
Etain sat down, and then, slowly, she let her head fall down as well. For a minute the branches of the tree cut across her vision, and then there was only black, as Etain also welcomed a comforting sleep.
Here's hoping the new morning will be brighter...maybe happier.

((I believe that the time was somewhere in the early morning when all the violence occurred so waking up past dawn the next day would be around twenty-four hours of sleep, a modest amount for Haeo. Feel free to have your character wake up earlier if you wish.))
Haeo's exhausted slumber carries well past the following dawn. The gray has faded over the day and night of sleep and he looks much better. He begins to stir slightly, the late morning sun shining in his eyes. He tries to move but stops with a quiet groan at the pain from almost his entire body.
Haeo opens his eyes and turns his head to one side, looking at the damage to the area with a vaguely unfocused gaze. He turns to look the other way and his eyes widen slightly as he recognises Etain. What... happened? Oh... the magic. He sighs faintly and closes his eyes again, remembering.

((oh god I'm so sorry; I hadn't checked this thing in ages!))
I limped up a little from the ground, holding my arm. I was in pretty bad pain, but not as badly as Haeo looked. "Well Isis... perhaps this wasn't the best idea after all," I said with a humorless chuckle. The entire saucer had hit me when it came speeding over; evidently Haeo must have lost some small level of control when he released the wave. From what I could tell, just about everyone looked unconscious except for me and Isis... and I had just gotten up a short moment ago.
"Do you think they're alright?" I asked with concern.

Feeling dizzy, I sat upright at the sound of Amarene's voice. I looked around, startled at the destruction that had befallen the area around me. What happened? Did something go wrong?
"Do you think they're all right?" Amarene asked. I looked at Etain and Haeo... they looked pretty roughed up, but otherwise okay. It was Haeo I was worried about. How had he gotten across? Surely he didn't do anything reckless...
I walked over to him, placing my hands on his chest. He had several broken bones... he wouldn't be able to continue onwards in this state.
"Meshar nimshu erratara!" A glow of light spread through my palms, coursing across Haeo's body. I was happy curative spells did not require a lot of energy, but they did indeed require concentration. After a while, I felt Haeo's body slowing recovering. It would only be a matter of time now.
Feeling slightly dizzy, I removed my hands and let the magic do the rest of the work. I was famished.
"Amarene, we do have food left that wasn't cast over the falls, right? Surely we have... something?"

I looked around a little dismally. "I still have all my supplies... but I'm not sure how long it will last all four of us. If you're hungry help yourself... I think I'm just gonna try to stretch out a little bit. My body feels quite cramped." And with that I stood up and began to stretch and flex my limbs. We hadn't even gotten out of the forest yet and already we were taking a beating. Not exactly what's supposed to happen to the destined challengers supposed to save both worlds. I found myself laughing at the thought; me, of all people, rescuing worlds. It sounded plain riddiculous... even for a member of the special services. There was a paycheck holding me there, not chivalry or self-justice. Are we even going to make it out of here alive? I thought to myself, looking into the sky. I was pretty sure nine out of ten creatures out here said nay to that one.

Haeo opens his eyes slowly at the sound of familiar voices. Is that...? He turns his head slightly to look in their direction and just watches them in silence, a tired look on his face. I see they survived... good. The magic out here is... so strange. Difficult to control... A troubled frown crosses his face, rapidly replaced by a realization. My chest... Healing magic? Oh... Isis. He moves his arms, managing to slowly push himself up to a sitting position. The effort leaves him breathing heavily and wincing from his not quite healed injuries.

"Haeo, not so fast," I said a little groggily, sifting through Amarene's provision bag. "You'll end up busting every bone I managed to just heal." Turning to him, I smiled. "Well, looks like we made it all over. We have you to thank for that," standing up, I walked over to him. "Feeling any better? I don't konw how your physiology reacts with some magics so I just used a low-level healing flood... is it helping any?"

((Wow, they return! biggrin ))
Etain had woken up long before Haeo, and then, as she waited, drifted off to sleep again. Now she found herself waking up a second time, suddenly and dramatically in the company of two that she'd thought were lost.
"You guys are okay!" She jogged over, an uncharacteristically bright smile decorating her expression. "How's the patient?"

Haeo turns and focuses his eyes on Isis with a vaguely ironic smile on his deeply fatigued face. He closes his eyes for a moment and then turns to watch Etain... jog over. He hadn't actually been paying much attention to whether or not the magic was actually helping but now that it has been mentioned he notices that it is. It's energy is general enough that it is simply flowing along with the swirling pattern of energy that is already in his body.
"Yes... I do feel better." He pauses, closing his eyes briefly. "How are all of you doing?" A rather sad and puzzled look crosses his face. "Sorry for losing control of it like that... I guess... that I was pushing too hard."

((what time is it?))
I came over to the others after flexing out my body. "Don't worry about it Haeo... you've probably been pushed pass your limit as of late. Rest up and get something to eat... and let's hope we don't get attacked by some bloodthirsty beast while we're recouperating." Sitting down and pulling out some form of animal jerky, I began chewing on it. Kinda tasted like beef; but I was quite certain it wasn't "Haeo... where the heck is your sword?"

Etain scowled immediately at mention of the sword. A new energy possessed her, as she turned dramatically to point accusingly at the sword - wedged tightly into a tree. "It's in there, the stupid thing."
Pausing, she looked Haeo over. "Amarene's right, Haeo. If it wasn't for you, none of us would be alive at the moment. Go a little bit easier on yourself, okay? And I don't cut people slack for no reason, so you'd better trust my words here."

((It's early morning, the day after our flying leap smile )) Haeo turns to look at his sword for a moment and then closes his eyes again with a quiet sigh. He is already looking much better but obviously still needs rest.
"It isn't just that, Amarene. The magic out here... it's... so different.... hard to control. It takes a lot more effort than it should... and then... that reaction..." His voice trails off as a frown furrows his brow. "Backlash...?" I'll have to be much more careful with my magic from here on out... although... knowing that this kind of thing can happen could be beneficial at some point.
