Eck...I know sorta what perkele means, but not totally...is it one of the words that can't really be translated? Perkele was The Pagan god of Thunder if I remember right, and now it is tranlated loosly as "Devil"......That is if I rememberd right. xp

Well, technically it's not right, but yet it is sort of. You see, in English, the word ******** is used in many different places. It can be a verb (wich would be naida, in Finnish) or as an adjective etc. Finnish language has more larger variety of cruse words than English, but most of them are translated as '******** bad at explaining things, but I hope you understand what I mean. sweatdrop

Hello all. I be new to this guild. I absolutely love Apocalyptica ^^ and Sonata Arctica, Ensiferum, Norther, COB and Nightwish. Finnish metal is so much more melodical than its international counterparts which I love.

I love all kinds of Finnish Metal. Ensiferum is probably my favorite. I also like Turisas too. Does anybody here like Celesty? biggrin I just saw Sonata live last weekend at Tuska Open Air. surprised They threw their worst gig ever, if you ask me. But no one can succeed everytime. Diablo was also great. surprised My neck hurt SO damn badly after their gig. And also, at the moment, I'm in Turku. Tomorrow is the Ruisrock Festival where I'll be going to see Flogging Molly, CMX and Von Hertzen Brothers. Sure there would've been Porcupine Tree and at the gates today and Turisas on sunday, but the problem is that the whole three day ticket costs too much. So it's only saturday for me. And for all of you who haven't heard Dream Theater and would like to know more, I reccommend listnening to either Octavarium or Train of Thought albums. Sure their olders stuff is delicious too, but those two are the "easier" ones. 3nodding
