If anything, I think he just might've been disoriented from both his transformations and fight with Cloud.

.... wow.. that is the stupidest thing I have heard anyone say in my life about FF7..

If you played the game at all you would know that there is no way that Aeris is Jenova... burning_eyes

No offense... but you're either trying way to hard or you're really mixed up... the only sense I can even make of this theory is that if anyone's read the Chronicles of Narnia... how Aslan and Tash are only one because they are opposites?

The Silver Haired Men might have a very wrong image of Jenova and her love for them in their heads and that'd be why when someone loving and welcoming reaches out to help them they'd think it was Jenova. (this may sound like reiteration) They could just be mixed up about Jenova's like and what they think of her is really what Aeris is like... but that definitely doesn't mean Aeris is Jenova. That can't possibly make sense.

I don't know about you guys, but I very distinctly remember kicking Jenova's a** with Aeris in my party. Twice.

sephie lady
ok, no aeris is not jenova!~! do't even think it!!

ok, she gets called mother by kadaj because he confuses her with jenova, and who knows why cloud calls her mother, he was just probably calling her that because kadaj did. but aeris is not jenova evil

oh booliabayza! You hit the nail on the head! And also when Cloud gets knocked into that heaven state he calls her mother as well, and she states and i quote, "Why is everyone calling me mother lately?" and she also says that she has too many to take care of, and Zack says, "Sorry friend, looks like you've got to go." Heres a pic of that moment!

Remember how she wondered why everyone was calling her mother?

I'm pretty sure Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo didn't mean her when they were saying mother.

Because they had the Jenova stuffs in that box remember? And Kadaj turned into Sephiroth with it...which was weird. sweatdrop

Something to consider though... The silver haired men seemed to go to places that were significant to Aeris; The Forgotten City where she died, her church twice... Perhaps Aeris was talking in their heads all the while, like she did Cloud? I know full well that Aeris and Jenova have nothing to do with each other, just throwing it out there.

aeris isn't jenova.
aeris was the last surviving ancient, daughter of ifalna and prof. gast.

sephiroth was a SOLDIER, a successful carrier of the Jenova cells, physical son of Lucrecia and Prof. Hojo.

Jenova was a monster/virus that followed the ancients (cetra) to earth, where they had begun cultivating the land, and infected them with a virus that turned them into monsters, like the ones seen in the kalm flasback at the nibelheim reactor. it crashed to earth and infected the cetra, killing many off, and the planet began designing reactionary defense mechanisms (Weapons; emerald, ruby, diamond, ultimate) to destroy jenova. before it had a chance to use the weapons, however, the cetra sealed jenova away, and so they lay dormant.

two thousand years later, gast, hojo and etc. were presented with the unearthed remains of jenova, which they began conducting experiments on, and injecting into troops along with mako-showering to give them super strength (these were SOLDIER).

the perfect version of these experiments was Sephiroth, who was ultra powerful, but when he found out what he was he went crazy and destroyed nibelheim, eventually being thrown into the reactor pits and lifestream by cloud.

his consciousness, spirit, will, whatever you want to call it, projected a representation of himself back onto the planet, a much weaker version, but he used this projection, plus his ability to control the jenova cells in cloud and the other experiments (men in black cloaks). he then regained the black materia, thanks to cloud (poor guy), and restarted his plan to smash up the planet and grab hold of the mako energy collected at the injury point that would be left by meteor, and so the weapons were activated.

jenova is more than 2000 years old, spread throughout the cells of every experiment and every person tainted with geostigma (the geostigma was caused by the lifeenergy attacking the jenova cells in everyone affected by it).

aeris was just a kid who was deeply in tune with the planet, because of her heritage, and who roamed about in the lifestream after her death, unable to diffuse into it properly because sephiroth was blocking her way back, along with everyone else he killed, trying to absorb their lifeforce to become more godlike.

the incidents where kadaj, cloud, loz and yazoo apparently referred to her as mother were mistakes on their own parts, due to their confusion.

i might have rambled a little here, but i understand that some people get confused by the story line; i've watched advent children a few times, and completed the game many, many times, and i still don't always understand everything.

Small correction: Jenova couldn't have followed the Cetra to the Planet, because the Cetra are from the planet. Jenova was the space traveler.

then why does ifalna, in the icicle inn recordings, state that the cetra cultivate the planet, make it liveable, and then move on? my only guess would be that they are born of the planet, then "move on" by dying, returning to the planet.

They, being the Cetra, cultivate the planet, making it habitable and lively, then move on to another section of the planet. They do die, but that is not what is meant by moving on in Ifalnas explanation.

Aeris is not Jenova for many reasons. 1: in the game, while she is alive, you see Jenova (or at least part of her). 2: the evil triumvirate (Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo) could have mistaken her, because I don't think they could see her, and they had never heard Jenova speak. Aeris was telling them to let go, and they assumed it was their mother.

Well, from advent children and the game we know that Jenova is referred to as "mother", and in Advent Children right after the conflict between Sephiroth and Cloud and that big explosion, we see Aeris put her hand on Cloud's head and he calls her "mother"
she replies, "Mother, Mother how many times have I been called that already?" (and Zack goes, "It means ur loved.")
it would make sense wouldn't it? because of Geostigma, Aeris would have been able to manipulate the Lifestream and protect the world from the Meteor, and that's why the little girl in the last FF7 game FMV in the hotel runs outside, because she could feel Aeris's presence, and Aeris was in the lifestream

????
if you think that? smack yourself. although you prove a point but, we saw JENOVA in the game with her head off in Shin-Ra building and her having her head cut off by Sephiroth in Last Order. But there is no way Aerith is JENOVA.
