Humans produce methane, we should all die then. And yes methane is destroying the ozone, not as much as other polutants though, but methane is one of the most dangerous to the earth, right up there with water particals in the air and CO2. They chop down acers of the rain forest because they do it improperly. It doesnt grow back because they do it improperly, there is hardly any other reason its just flat out improper techniques. Eating meat is also compleatly healthy. Eating bolth meat and vegies is the healthyest thing you can eat.

Brad_Margera arcky Brad_Margera My Thoughts on Vegetarians in an Elegant Starred List: * You guys (if you're a caucasion vegetarian of course) are colored yellow! Skin is not meant to be yellow. * A lot of you say it's to protect the enviroment from the clearing of lands for cattle. Cow manure helps the enviroment. Beef helps America's enconomy. If you guys wanted the clearing of lands to stop eat the dang cows! If you did that we wouldn't have to clear nearly as much land. * You can't eat conventional soup anymore as it's made with broth from meat products and you'd get "sick". * Being a vegitarian is not healthy. You sir, are misinformed. *I (and several friend vegetarians) are not yellow or even pale at all! In fact I am a very healthy color. *Methane is bad for the ozone, and cows produce alot of methane. Even though cow s**t can be useful, most just sits there, and is returned to the earth. But they chop down acres of rainforest to graze cattle, then the cattle stomps down the land so nothign can grow, so they move them to another area. *I can still eat veggie soup, and besides, soup is such a small loss. *Being a vegetarian is completly healthy. The ozone layer being destroyed is partially a myth. Besides that, whatever. You're not going to recruit me to your religion. I didn't rise to the top of the food chain to eat carrots. Religion? Its a lifestyle change, a minor one at that. I do not want to recruit you, I want to inform you since you are stating false statements about a very large group of people. I am not inpressed to find such a close-minded post on such a minor thing like eating habits in this guild. I am open to the idea of eating meat, I will listen to everyone's opinions and take them into consideration, but I have decided so far that it is best for me to be a vegetarian, not everyone but for me it is a good idea.

Everyone is different, I feel that I am healthier not eating meat, expecially in my enviroment! I am acually healthier then alot of people my age. As for the methane, I dont know a whole lot, because I dont particually care too much, all I know is that cow produce a much larger quanity of methane then normal. As for the rainforest, if they are using improper techniques, then why should they be allowed to do this?

There are more humans then cows by a large number, so we are more or less ballanced. They are allowed to because its not our country it theres. They can do what they want in there own country. They think that by making lots of money in the here and now that they can become a major political power like the US or Canada. They think that by first world countrys telling them not to cut down there trees and therefore making money we are trying to keep them as 3rd world countrys and stunt the countrys growth.

So do you think that the livestock industry does more good then bad? I personally dont eally have much of a stance on this, since I am not well informed.

Its inherintly bad due to it being an industry/establishment. But its also good because it does provide people with jobs, money, and food.

I'm not really a veggie, but I'm not a big fan of meat either. I eat it sometimes and usually in small amounts. I actually like tofu better.

I'm a vegetarian, and I just quit the vegetarian guild because of their intolerance.
Its not are place to pretty much hate people who eat meat. They support acting like assholes to meat eaters when it does little for the cost and makes people who let people chose what they eat look bad to be one of them...
Vegetarians hating meat eaters is like people on the no carb diet hating people who eat bread.

I don't hate meat eaters. My boyfriend loves meat. I don't care. I eat what I wanna eat, he does the same. We should all do the same.
