Hmm, I can relate. Last year I had a mad crush on one of the guys in band, and I wanted to have all my classes with him, and be in the same band as him, and sit near him. Didn't happen, so I got over him. Now this year, he sits right behind me in band (he plays bari sax) and I sit in the same corner as him in another class. Ironic, isn't it?

XD Like I said earlier, my crush is in band with me - he's the other tenor player. ^^;; It's nice to have him back in band with me. He was in my band class freshman year, but then a scheduling conflict kept him in concert band while I moved up to wind ensemble.
...XD You know, ever since I started band, all but two of my crushes have been band kids. A trombonist in fifth grade, a flautist in sixth grade, and now the tenor player since freshman year. XDD

I play ze flute, I'm third chair in the highest band. Not bad seeing as how first chair is 3rd in the country in his age group... sweatdrop He even makes appearances on TV. *inferiority complex* But yes, I'm pretty proud of myself and my accomplishments. biggrin
Talking about crushes in the band. My boyfren was the DRUM MAJOR. Wait, wait, there's more. He was also a Bari Sax player and a jazzer. He took me swing dancing and all this cool stuff. Now he's in college. I SO lucked out. 3nodding

Tenor/Bari sax players are cool!! (at least in my band) Two days in a row without obnoxious first flute!! YAY!!! blaugh

Lol...I play Piccolo for pepband season. We have three piccs in our entire pepband and to get us to all play in tune...you have to shoot two of us and knock the third out...lol. Amazingly I am not the only guy flute player this year though...theres one other...but he gets left by himself during concert season...cause I switch to French Horn (Backbone of the Band Baby!). poor James...oh well, at least I'm there for football and basketball games!

Fufuki Lol...I play Piccolo for pepband season. We have three piccs in our entire pepband and to get us to all play in tune...you have to shoot two of us and knock the third out...lol. Amazingly I am not the only guy flute player this year though...theres one other...but he gets left by himself during concert season...cause I switch to French Horn (Backbone of the Band Baby!). poor James...oh well, at least I'm there for football and basketball games! I have so much respect for guy flutes... power to you dude... Yeah, I'm very new to this guild. I play the flute, obviously.... If we're talking about crushes in band then I should tell you about my past boyfriends, both have been in band. Freshman year I went out with a trumpeter... he was cool, we're still good friends. But now I'm going out with a guy I met at band camp, he plays the sax. He lives in another town, so it's rough, but oh well!

There's two guy flutes in our band this year, too. It's neat. 3nodding Actually, there COULD be more - I don't know anything about the flutes in concert band. There might be a freshman guy or something, I dunno.

I've only known one guy who played the flute! But we have guys in our band, they play the clarinet! I think we have like 2 guy clarinets... and no they're not gay! LOL.... Flute Playas ARE Awesome!! YEA GO FLUTES! lol!
Yea.. I love band, it's really fun! And we get to go to D.C/Philly this year! It's gonna be AWESOME!
And Imma try to ride the charter bus with my crush! LOL! I said Imma try to! so.. yea...lol
It is gonna be a whole lotta fun! I think band is a good way to make friends faster.... easpecially rom summer band.. you meet a lot of people!!

We have alot of guy clarinetists... we had a guy flute last year... wonderwhat happened to him... I don't think I've even seen him this year...
ehhehheh... No crushes for me... (not really a crushing type...) but this one guy... he stalks me... (he drives by my house everyday not purposefully though) who's a Senior even though I was friends with him since before he was taller than me... (which was like 5th/6th grade for me) and yes... since I'm a Freshman... you see the age difference...a few of my friends have crushes though (one's not even in band and has a crush on one of the trumpets!)

We have one guy flute to my knowledge, but he's in the other band. Band is indeed a good way to make friends. I've already been able to make friends with three new people this year 'cause of band. And, since we have four flutes in the fall play, we're thinking about doing a trio/quartet. So happy!!

i had a crush on one of the trumpets last year, and he liked me... but then he got all stalkerish... also at a pep game, he asked me what i'd do if he kissed me, and i said i'd probably kick his butt cuz i don't wanna get kissed... it was awsome, and man was i glad he didn't... now i'm totally over him, and i think he's over me, but i don't know for sure. This year i have a little crush on our trombone player... he's hillarious!!
I play the flute along with the tenor sax... it's fun... we just got back from a parade with horses and everything... i played my sax though cuz we didn't have one... but we are marching at half time at our football game tonight, so i'm playin my flute there ^_^

eek Yay! Flutes! Obviously I play one... but I haven't in class lately sweatdrop because I'm a percussionist in marching band...
