I didn't see the entire series but I saw the first DVD and the first 4 mangas so I know a lot of the story if not most. I still think the saddest part was in the beginning when they almost had sex in the forest. When Shuuji ripped off her shirt and her saw her scar and was slowly realizing that she was becoming more of a weapon than ever. Then they went to their hide out and he was talking about how they would have a small house with children and they would reminisce about their experiences. That made me cry. I just broke down in tears because I could understand how he was feeling (well not the weapon part but it was pretty damn close. What can I say? Love not easy).
But Sgt. Tetsu pissed me off. Him and Chise. Why'd she sleep with him?! Shuuji was so deeply in love with her even if he was confused. After that I think he should just marry Fuyumi instead.

Chi-se (short e sound) It would actually look more like this:
Chee (like cheese) - say (self explanitory).
Now that I think about it, people could make a toungue twister out of Asian names.

I've just read the new Saikano Vol. 5 yesterday. It is a real eye opener to reality. It really brought up a lot of bad memories for me and ideals which I have forgotten for so long. But it was great to read and see. New respect for Lt. Tetsu and for Shuji. But surprisingly, Akemi has a large role and she is the show stopper of the volume. I won't give away the story but something happens and it really makes you realize that maybe we aren't so different from other people. So props out to those characters. And props to the staff who made it for making a great peice of art and story work. I'm still crying from it.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that there is a lot of sexual scenes in this volume. There always were a lot of sexual scenes in Saikan but these surpass everything the series has put out so far. Each one is heart wrenching and full of despair as you read. It shows a lot about who the characters really are deep down and their insecurities and problems. Its all sensible too. None of that stuff hentai is made from. Its all pure and real as if you could feel their love and compassion. Great story material.
And if you haven't picked this series up, then you should. The anime I can't really say because I've only seen one volume of it (but from what I've seen, its just as good as the manga) but the manga is great. So pick it up people. You won't regrett it.

It looks really good....but I'm comepletely broke and I'm still trying to finish up the other series I've started...I hate having like 3 half-finished series to ponder!

It happens to the best of us Water. I still have to finish Peacemaker Kurogane. sweatdrop I seriously recommend this one to anime veterans. I refuse to let anime viewers who don't fully understand the aspect of anime and the depth that people can have with them. Ask the new Sophomores at my old school. I'm one tough son of a otaku when it comes to letting people see certain animes from my group (with exception of a certain member who leaked some of our goods). I'm not stingy. I guess you could say that I'm trying in futile to protect some series (I'll feed them DBZ or on occassion, Azu manga).

But I still wonder why they made her say all those stupid lines during the previews of the next episode. "SAIL INTO THE SKY GUNDAM!!" or "WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE GUNDAM?!!" So funny yet so wierd.)
