I just finished with a pair of pink bloomers inspired by BtSSB's Spring line of '03 (I think it was '03) and I'm begining a cute headdress to match a dress I bought from Noir Desir (I loooooooooove it so much! <33 The dress is perfect!), and I plan on making some legwarmy thingies to match as well. After that I might make some wrist cuffs or a neck cuff. I'd really like to get started on a shirt though.... :/
I'd post pics...but my camera is le crappu. xp

You should practice on smaller items first. Like modifying skirts and making headdresses. That's easiest and least discouraging when starting out. :3 Nezumi Kakashi: X3 I was just about to start some black bloomers! I got the pattern out of GLB Extra- New love! Ack. But they're so long, I think they would be a little visible under my skirts. X_X

X_X I have a long white pair that go past my knees (they were actually my mother's for a Halloween costume blaugh ) and their very useful for cold days when I tend to wear longer skirts. The pattern I used for mine actually ended up being about the same length, but it was very easy to alter to make shorter. I basically just chopped off a bit of the top and a lot of the legs to make them the right length. domokun That part was fun. In addition, voila~! I have pictures! (mommie let me use her camera.) A picture of my progress on the headdress: And one of the bloomers.

I had no idea my cell phone took this big of pictures. I'll also add lace around the collar, and sleeves. This isn't the lace or the bows I'll be putting on it, but it's a general idea. I bought the dress (all the pink) in a Berkeley thrift store for $25. Once I get home, I'm going to sew on the lace I bought for it.

Woot, I'm a sticky! :3
Thanks. ^_^ The only mods on the dress are the white parts... Amazingly, the collar was already peter-pan shaped and the sleeves already poofed! I'm adding the bows because the front was very plain, with only a V of lace.

its no problem, i understand busy all to well. i wonder, what kind of dress was that? juniors dresses are never sweet. did someone actually give up a loli dress or is a sqqaure danceing outfit. i rember seeing a post on lj of a girl who goodwiilled a sqaure danceing dress and it looked verry lolita. espically w/o cowboy boots.

You know, I actually bought it in a Berkeley thrift store during the Halloween season, so someone may have been selling it as a costume.

Right now I'm woring on a modified version of the blouse that the girl in the photo is wearing. It's white broadcloth, and I've removed the front ruffle, made it so it buttons up all the way, and replaced the high collar with a peter-pan collar. It should be done within a few weeks. It would have been done already, but my sewing machine is broken right now, so I'm forced to hand sew until I han have it fixed. Once I'm done with that project, I'm probably going to make thie outfit on the left: I really love that outfit! ^_^
