"Oh." Ala responded again. How did this little boy know so much? And what kinds of movies did he watch? Her movies sounded nothing like his. But her mommy had said that there were lots and lots of movies out there.
"Hit you? But... wouldn't that mean you're bad?"

Cody shook his head, "Naw, I'm lettin' ya." He paused, trying to think how best to word it. "See uh... when you wanna fight good you gotta learn how. An' you best learn how by practc...pr..practicin'..." He nodded, "Practicin' sometimes means on other people too- if they let or or are bad. Bad people don't ask tah be practiced on. You just gotta do it or they'll just keep on bein' bad."

"Oh." Ala's word for the time, it seemed. "...Okay..." With a frown of deep concentration, the koala girl stared at her hand as it formed into a fist. She didn't want to hurt the other boy, but he said that she could. And that it wouldn't hurt him. He did look rather tough.
With a shrug, she gave it an attempt.
In the meantime, Nikiana figured that the two kids wouldn't do too much harm (to themselves or the building) if she left for a couple of minutes to figure out where this boy was supposed to be. She didn't really want to leave this miniture disaster with horns wandering the building. So she started off down the hallway he'd come from.

The bull boy held still as the girl gave a punch on him, grinning down to where she'd hit him, "Not bad fer yer first time. But'cha gotta ball yer fist harder, thumbs out like this." He balled his fists up, standing himself at the ready for a good boxing match. It really wasn't a good stance, it was just something he had seen off of a movie and kind of turned into something he could rationalize, "Like this. When ya swing ya gotta throw yer whole body intah' it."
Cody had come from Kat's classroom when the woman had been dealing with another child, by then the poor teacher was probibly already looking for him, the door was cracked slightly, just enough for a child to have squirmed through to make a run for it.

"Oh, okay." The girl looked at Cody's fist, then at her own. Forming her own hand into a similar fist, she looked at the way the boy was standing. Keeping her fist balled up, she shifted her feet about to try and mimic his own stance.
Now, to try again. And to try and keep his advice in mind. Keep fist balled tighter. Punch with entire body. Keep thumbs out.
As the woman drew closer to Kat's classroom, she could hear... well, chaos from within. The mother poked her head in, blinking as she saw the crazy kids running about within. Poor Kat seemed to have her hands full, but the nameplate that read 'Cody' over a cubbyhole and hook told Niki what she needed to know.
Now... how to get that boy back to his class?

He nodded in approval, puffing himself out, "Yeah! Just like that, yer lookin' scary! Good good." He clapped his hands then put his hands on his hips, "Alright, punch again, lemme have it! Remember- keep yer fists tight, thumb out, n' throw yer whole body intah it. Ya gotta think like yer in a real fight. Practicin's good." He patted his belly, "Jus' in case a bad guy tries tah hurt ya'. Gotta know 'ow tah hold out on yer own."

Ala grinned, then stuck her tongue out a bit as she concentrated, trying again at this punching thing. Who knows, maybe one day she will need to know how to punch a bad guy. Then she'd be ready!
Niki wandered back down the hallway. This little whirlwind would need some kind of excuse to be herded back into Kat's classroom. Hmm...

Cody shook his head again, "No tongue, I learneded that the bad way. If someone blocks ya from under ye'll bite it! I tripped an' bit it, hurt like hellfire." He stood next to her, hunching down slightly and putting his fists out. He was no fighting ace but he did seem to know a bit about what he was doing, "Like this see?"

Ala paused, hardly realizing that she had stuck her tongue out. Quickly she put it back in, glancing over sideways to mimic Cody's pose. Fighting was starting to seem harder than it looked. There were so many things you had to remember and keep straight.

"Don't run with your tongue out 'neither, ye'll bite it if ya trip er' somethin'." He thought that was important to let her know, "Winter said there's fightin' classes here somewhere, I wanna find 'em." He turned and kicked at the wall, demonstrating another way she could attack, "I'll be the best, you'll see. I'll beat up kids three times my size!"

Ala dropped her fists as the boy then kicked the wall. "Fighting classes?" The girl paused for a moment, thinking. "I think Mommy said something about them, but they're for older kids..." Not that she didn't believe that Cody could hold his own against kids much older than him, but that she figured he wouldn't be allowed in. D-corp was kinda picky about things like that, it seemed.

"Older kids?" He tilted his head to the side, slowly putting his hoof back on the ground. "Da'ts a bit of a downer... no worries though." He turned to her and gave a hearty thumbs up, "I know an older kid that'll teach me what 'e knows I bet. 'e's a good guy, an' if you come over to visit my place, I can teach you. Kinda like playin' telephone only wit' more punchin'."

"Really? That'd be cool!" Ala grinned. She liked telephone, but wasn't too sure of how the fighting would relate. After all, lots of times things got messed up between the beginning and the end when playing telephone...
Niki decided to intervene back into the little group again. "Hmm.... well, we'll talk with your mother about perhaps arranging for something like that. But right now, Miss Kat is in danger from some of your classmates." The woman hoped that might get the boy back to class. Though it might involve a bit of harm on the part of some unfortunate kid in his class. Hopefully it wouldn't.

"She is?!" He snorted, rolling back his shoulders as he threw a fist into his open palm, "All righty then I see how it is... 'bout time things got interesting." He wanted in on this... "Gotta go now, got some booty tah pound." He tipped his hat, "G'day ma'ams."
With that the little cowboy was tearing back down the hallway, his face sporting a large almost frightening grin. Brawling in class! A dream come true, maybe he could finally make up for having his blocks tripped over that one time... ooh yes sucka was gonna pay.

Niki sighed as the boy ran on down the hallway with Ala waving and shouting her goodbye to the retreating bull boy. Well, hopefully Kat would manage to somehow get that boy under control. He seemed a rather energetic boy for his age. And a bit on the rough side.
The woman turned to look down at her daughter. "What do you say we go home now?"
Alaqua slowly lowered her arm and leaned into her mother. "Okay..."
