Logan noticed how off guard Echo had seemed to be once he had asked ehr that question, by her expression of words and physical expressions he could tell she wasn't in one. Living alone with her sister...that was nice. But what if they needed protection, or food grew scarce, being in a pack could be an advantage in those tough times, he wondered why Echo wasn't in one. Did Echo and her sister run away? If so...why?
Her expression made the big brute smile softy, he was a gentle giant no doubt, Echo could make him be that way hands down, with no effort, just giving him a look, even a questioning one made him smile. He couldn't rememebr the last time he had smiled so many times...
"I was just wondering Echo, so you live with your sister? That must be nice..." he said nodding his head, still following the scent of Echo's sister, "But if I can ask...are you not in a pack, because of troubles?" Likely it was, but he wouldn't be too sure what kind of words to offer out to have Echo explain, but that was fine. All the more conversation, and he did enjoy the sound of her voice. His curled tail swayed back adn forth behind them as they padded on forward.

Echo nodded when he asked if she lived with her sister and that it must have been nice. It was lovely, just the two of them on their own. But it was very dangerous and every single day the girls had to fight in order to just get through the day. It was hard and harsh, but a lot better than what they had run away from.
She had smiled along with him as they walked side-by-side back to Ophelia. But her smile immediately faded and she stopped in her tracks when he asked why they weren't in a pack. She looked at him sternly, telling him that that question wasn't appreciated at all. She couldn't stay mad at him, however, so a moment later she was wagging her tail apologetically and whining to him, hoping that he wouldn't think too much of it.
"Because of troubles," she whispered, looking at the ground forlornly.

Logan tilted his head watching Echo, that look that she had given him, he knew his question to her must've not been very appropriate, he felt bad, he wished he could take it back, he didn't want her mad at him. But in another moment she was wagging her tail and trying to whine apologeticly...
Odd...
He was the one that made a mistake, not her. He smiled faintly and shook his head, "You don't have to apologize...my mistake, I'm sorry." he said with a smile, hoping she wouldn't be mad.
When she spoke that there had indeed been troubles, he remembered why he ran away from his own pack. He had troubles there, but now he was starting over, in a new pack, that was much different from his old one.
Perhaps asking if Echo adn her sister wanted to go back with him wasn't such a good idea afterall, perhaps Echo didn't like the idea of a pack right now, he wished she did though, it would be nice to have Echo in the packlands. Even if she didn't want to go back with him, adn have ehr sister come, he knew he could easily come out here and visit her...but only if she wanted it so.

Echo shook her head as she began walking forward again. It was her fault. She shouldnt' have gotten mad at him like that. Her anger was wrong... Logan couldn't have possibly known that a question like that would bother her, so it wasn't his fault that he had asked it. Curiousity had probably been what drove him to ask it, and she couldn't blame him for that.
Not wanting to look at him as she felt ashamed, she tried to explain. "Have to apologize. My mistake." Unfortunately, she couldn't go much beyond that, which really frustrated her. If there was one thing in the world that she truly hated, it was her curse that kept her from having a real conversation with someone. The only one she could really talk to was her sister, and even then their connection wasn't solid.
Sighing, the female merely walked foward with her head low. She felt terrible about getting mad at him.

Logan tilted his head in slight confusion, Echo was now getting upset? She shouldn't, he should've been more considerate with what questions he had asked her. He should've thought things more through, but now...now she was looking at the ground, not at him, and she probably felt bad, the last thing he wanted to happen.
He kept padding along beside her, but she kept her eyes on the ground, what to do?
He got an idea, but he hoped she wouldn't get afraid or anything, it was the only thing he could think of, "Its alright..." he said calmly, looked at ehr trying to grasp her eyes to look at his...wasn't working...light bulb! Hopefully this would work...make her smile again. As he padded along with her he lifted her head up with his nose and looked down at her with a smile, "Its alright, no need to not smile Echo," he said with a tail wag.

Echo was losing herself in her thoughts once more as she padded along, looking at the ground. She wasn't all there, and so when Logan suddenly touched her and told her that there was no reason to smile, she found herself tucking her tail in between her legs and pulling away, yelping slightly in surprise.
"Not smile.." she randomly repeated, her eyes wide for a moment. Then she realized what he had done and lowered her head shamefully. She really had to work on that, it didn't work for her to go losing herself in her thoughts and leaving her to have funky reactions like these whenever someone did something even minor. It simply didn't do..
"Echo.. echo." The female lowered her head a bit further as she went back to walking. Nothing seemed right anymore. She was sorry that he had to see her like this.

Logan knew after Echo had reacted that he shouldn't have done that. She seemed very skittish at points, but always curious and nice, he wondered why she was so nervous around others when they reacted out towards her, but he wouldn't ask, no, not this time. He knew what happened when he asked something that could possibly upset her, and he didn't want to do that anymore than he already had.
The scent of her sister was really strong now, he knew it would be very soon that he'd have to say good-bye, he didn't want to, but he would have to, unless she wanted to come back with him, or wanted him to come back and visit her. He liked her very much, and he didn't not want to see her again.
"Your sister is close Echo," he said with a smile, hoping that she would smile to, she looked so pretty when she smiled, regardless if Echo thought otherwise, she always looked pretty.
"I know its an odd thing to ask but..." he was stumbling for words here, he wanted to ask her to come back, stay with him, he'd take care of her, her sister could come too, everything would be good in the world, but somehow, he had a feeling of doubt that Echo would give up the life of freedom she had with her sister so easily.
"If you, and you sister to of course...you both could come back with me...to where I stay with my pack if you'd like... I'm sure everyone would like you both, and Malik is there to, he's gotten a lot bigger, I'm sure he'd like to see you..." he said with a hopeful voice, "But...if you'd rather stay here with your sister, I understand...I can come back out here...and visit you...but only if you wanted to..."

Echo lifted her head a bit and nodded in agreement with Logan. "Sister is close," she repeated, her tail beginning to wag and a smile forming on her face. She was always pleased when she was around Ophelia. She supposed it was the strong connection between the two and the fact that they had both been casted away from their parents with no one to help them but themselves.
Her smile only broadened when the male seemed to fumble with his words. She didn't know whether she was amused or simply charmed by him, but she couldn't help but to smile when he stumbled with his sentences.
When he finally got it all out, the female stopped suddenly and blinked at him. She was thinking that he was going to ask some other question. She didn't know what that other question was, but she wasn't expecting him to ask this! It was a big thing, going back with him. Or, at least it was for her. She liked him, yes, though whether or not it was more than a friend or not she wasn't sure. So now it was her turn to stumble.
"Come back..? Stay with pack?" she repeated, her voice going unusually high as she felt herself grow nervous again. It was such a huge offer!
"Malik is there." She considered this. But, after a few moments, she realized that it wasn't enough. She had to speak with her sister about it first. But how to relay that to him? From the words that he had said, there wasn't much for her to put together a sentence that could possibly tell him she wanted to speak with her sister. Still, Echo tried to make do with what she had.
"With sister... sister..." Finally she just growled, shaking her head in frustration. Then she glanced at him, motioned with her head towards her sister, then began trotting off. She hoped that Logan would get the message that she wanted to speak with Ophy about if first before she made any final decisions.
Trotting quickly now, she tried to find her sister. "Ophelia! Ophy.. Echo has a friend," she called in her head, knowing that they were in range.

The lean, sleek female at that particular time was quite in the middle of giving her most recent ding a good stroking with the end of her tongue. It was a gash just above the ankle, but by now she was used to tending wounds. In fact- she was rather good at it now; they hardly ever scarred anymore. If only she had been able to figure out how to keep Echo from scarring...
But that was enough. With a soft snort, the small female rose her head and perked her ears. A quiver in the air, the kind she felt when Echo was around. ‘She must be heading home now.’ Ophelia noted, and stretched herself down.
The sisters, so far, had survived almost comfortably on one another. Hunting was always a vexing excursion between Ophelia’s clumsy antics and Echo’s inexperience, but they managed as well as they could. Voles, mice, small fowl- it wasn’t hard getting used to the bones. Despite all the strife, both had seemingly developed into healthy adults, and Ophelia wasn’t about to do anything to change that. Which was why, when her sister’s familiar voice flooded against her mind, that her yellow eyes flashed in a sharp, feral sense of caution. A friend? What kind of friend would be bothering Echo? She hoped for a good one, but the elder twin’s trust of life had been so forth shaken... “I’m coming.” Ophelia spoke outwardly, and rose to her feet, lean as stilts. She moved quickly despite their girth, and to her surprise, came across her sister and company far sooner then she had expected. The female pulled to a stop in a slight flurry, stretching her left back leg out to catch her movements. A male, rather big looking- and he smelt of other wolves. Inhaling the smell was intoxicating, and she threw it out of her mind.
“I’m sorry- can I help you?” Ophelia spoke simply, and trotted over besides her sister, her narrow neck craned.

Logan watched with a smile of how Echo reacted to his statements and questions, he knew it was a rather big question to pose forward, and so soon as well. Somehow though, he knew he was making a good choice by offering such a thing, Echo was quite nice, and attractive to him.
As he know watched Echo fumble with words he understood what her statments about "her sister" were, Echo would have to talk with her sister first no doubt, see how she felt about the whole situation.
He watched her trot off in one direction, and decided to follow, slowly though, so that Echo would come across her sister and then him coming along behind her. Surely Echo would wish to see her sister first, then have him come into play.
All too soon he watched as another wolf, resembling that of Echo quitemuch step out into the area. They were nearly identical, twins no doubt, yet they had their physical differences, others as well as Logan noted that Echo's sister could speak as she wished.
Interesting...
He merely wagged his tail at Echo's sister, a smile on his face, he didn't want to seem like a threat at all, he made a bowing motion with his head to Echo's sister, tradition in his birthpack he couldn't seem to displace among memories he knew.
"You must be Echo's sister." he said with a smile, padding forward a couple paces but keeping a little distance between them, in case Echo's sister was quite protective, "I'm Logan, nice to meet you."

Echo wagged her tail when her twin sister came into view. Not wasting any time, she immediately went up to her and began licking at her chin and face, showing that she was glad to see her sister. That over, she then sat down directly beside her sister. Doing so made it clear that she wasn't quite as big as normal wolves; she was a runt.
But her excitement died down a little when her sister didn't seem very pleased with this newcomer. Did she not trust him because he was strange? Thinking that this might be true, the omega whined and let her ears fold backwards. "Ophelia.. what's wrong?" she asked, feeling a bad vibe coming off from her twin.
That was the glory of their connection: they could sense each other's feelings like no other wolf would ever be able to. They were so close it was almost unbelievable and the feelings that they shared... they were virtually indescribable.
"Echo's sister," she said aloud, nodding her head slightly at Logan. But she kept most of her attention on Ophelia. Something was bothering her, and Echo wanted to find out what it was.

Ophelia eagerly wagged her tail as Echo licked her chin, and returned the greeting gesture with the same veracity that it was taken in. With it falling, she moved and turned her steady yellow eyes upon the form of the male before them. Her tail flicked once, and she nodded her head. “I am Ophelia.” she spoke, somewhat coldly. “Nothing is wrong.” Ophelia thought, and swayed the end of her tail. “We have to be cautious about these vagabonds. Who is he? He is your friend?” She didn’t want to sound like her parents, and surely, she wasn’t about to constrain Echo. But her concerns focused on their survival. They couldnt take a hit if this male turned out to be some crazed brute. There had to be caution. It was alright for Echo to be loving. She would be the hard one. The female stuck her chin forward. “What do you want with my sister?”

Logan noted that next to Ophelia Echo had appeared quite small, he hadn't noticed it before, but what did it matter? Echo was Echo, despite her size. He also noted Ophlia seemed quite protective of her sister, he took this for consideration that they had lived hard lives before this moment, and because of those times, they couldn't be led to trust others so quickly and easily.
Her question to him he felt was a bit harsh in word choice, but he didn't let that have him lable her as a very odd wolf, just caring towards her sister, he admired that, he wished he had HAD that with his brother's and sisters...but those times were gone. Time to focus on the future...
Thats what he had offered to Echo in a way, a future in Phib's pack...a future...maybe if she liked him down the road...a future with him maybe...but her sister seemed quite protective, he wondered if that would ever be a possibility.
He wasn't exactly sure how to answer Ohpelia's question though..."wanted her to come back with me? no...too forward...wanted her to be my friend? no...they were already like that"....what words to choose?! He was confused, adn merely looked towards Echo with a smile and then looked to teh ground, he probably looked like a big fool at this point.

"Yes, he is Echo's friend," she told her sister, not at all minding that Ophelia didn't seem to trust Logan. To Echo, it was natural that her sister didn't quite trust someone she didn't know. With their past, it was amazing that she even trusted at all. Especially with what her own mother did to her...
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she glanced between the other two wolves. Ophy's question was harshly said, she thought, but didn't do much about it. She knew that her twin was only being cautious and protective, and so honored her sister for that. She also didn't do anything about it because she knew that, in time, her sister would learn to trust again. She only needed a bit of healing time.
When Logan didn't answer, though, she grew a bit worried. What if Ophelia took his hesitation the wrong way?
"He wanted us to go back with him to his pack..."

“Back to his pack?” Ophelia said simply, and flecked her eyes towards Logan. She made no attempt at an explination as to how or why her sister and her seemingly were in the middle of a conversation with no words, but she kept that to himself. “What kind of pack? And why would we need that?” She questioned to the male.
Privately, to Echo- “Do you want to go with him? I don’t know if I like jumping into things Echo. We have to be careful.”
