I just read the rules. Now, I am sitting up straight. I'm going to try these habbits. I will very polite, but I'm going to edit out the smile part. Thank you. *bows down and makes eye contact*

Wow, that was fascinating, but Im too much of a tomboy, I dont think Ill be very good at following the rules.
Still, Im good at giving presents, I love choosing them, and when Im in Lolita clothes I swear less, so I suppose thats a start.

I'll attempt to stop cursing and shouting angrily at people when they annoy me.

Thank you miss Nefarious Vile. Now I know the real polite way to sit. ankles must be crossed, not legs.

I'm so suprised (and extatic) that I do that normally anyway...But at least I can be happy knowing I'm doing it right!

More Victorian Manners can be found here: www.gothicmissmanners.com It will re-direct you to her new site, but I'm not sure if it's up yet, however the old site was wonderful, filled with helpful articles. <3

I try too, then i end up trying to make up silly words that's mean. domokun It doesnt really work. i just kind of pout and glare at them. domokun
I already cross my ankles, and not my legs. I heard you can get vericose(sp?) veins from that. domokun

I disagree with the smile. There is much that goes into an expression. So many small subtlies are in any person's expression.

In France, and much of Europe, they often wonder why Americans smile so much. They think it makes one look like an awkward bafoon. Now, I am speaking of giant crazy smiles.

I think it is important to smile, but to be careful that your smile is not extreme.

I prefer very subtle smiles.

And an expressionless face is far better than a stern one.

(meh two cents)

Thank you for that I enjoyed reading that i do so wish you would post more. After i finish High skool i'm getting my hair cut and dyed so i will have hair similar to that of Miho fromMegatokyo and i will go as full blown lolita as i can. I do not care to hear what the other children at skool think of my looks so i try not to draw attention to myself as offten as posible.

Wow! Those were such wonderful websites! You see, gothic lolita is educational, mom. ^^

Ever since I was little, my parents have taught me to walk, stand, and sit up straight, so I'm ok, there. Once I have more lolita outfits in my repetoire, I'll begin to wear them more and be more loli! 3nodding

I'm in total agreement with this post. I think lolita's look much better either expressionless, or with subtle smiles, either sweet, or subtly wicked.

my japanese teacher also knows russian, and she told me that russian people think we smile too much. I'm not sure about other countries, though...^^;

For me, I'd just be natural. Since I'm in general naturally cheerful, I'll probably just smile anyways.
