Simply put:

Don't get me started on that eyebrow wench.

She impaled someone who wasn't even fighting back! Not only is that cowardly, but its insane! She has no heart. Freaking heartless >_>

Not only that, but her sheer obsession with death and estruction really bothered me. Why would someone who lives in a peace-loving nation, be so drawn to bloodshed and pain?

But yeah. I think you get the idea that I wasn't too fond of her >_>

It's not about cowardly. Both Quatre and Dorthy were trying to get their points across to each other. Quatre was attempting to do it through words and Dorthy through fighting. In some ways you can say Dorthy seemed to want to be right more than Quatre did.
Also she is not heartless, she began to cry when he grandfather died and showed remorse after her fight with Quatre. Not to mention she begins to redeem herself in the movie. She wanted to stop Marimeia.

Then there's her"obsession" over war you pointed out. Many people in this thread have stated, and I fully agree with it, that Dorothy has this passion for war simply because she wants to show the people how dark it can be. She doesn't actually love it as much as she says she does, war destroyed her family for heaven's sakes.
The reason she was living in a peace loving nation as well, is because she was sent there by Romafeller as a representative of her own nation. Relena accepted her into the school to see her views. Again it was all pretty much a matter of geting points across.

Dorothy is one of my favorite characters next to Mariemaia and Quatre.

I believe that she was a typical young young woman that was the result of a devastating war. She seems to love her family alot. After she loses most of her family she snaps. She puts up a front, making people think that she loves war because she wants to hide how much hurt it caused her. She probably decided to have a "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude. Later on she matures and isn't afraid to express that she loves peace.

Such an interesting character. From her character design (( I mean, they could have just made her another bishoujo but they made her look plain)) and her personality is one of the more interesting ones of the Gundam series.

Man, people really like fixating on the eyebrows, don't they? >_>

Still, I love Dorothy, so I don't get all the obsession. There's two things to consider regarding her...

1) Treize also has forked eyebrows, but nobody comments on that.

2) If you don't mind the eyebrows, Dorothy is actually incredibly attractive.

I just love her. I don't know why, because I usually don't like bad girl types. But I think she's intelligent, witty, and courageous. She's also a bit twisted and malicious, but one can attribute that to the growing up in a politically spotlighted family during social-economic turmoil. In the end, a bit of her humanity comes out, and that's what makes all the stuff on the outside meaningful.

As I understand it, Dorothy is Dermail's granddaughter, and Dermail is Treize's uncle. Since they're one generation apart, that makes them first cousins once removed. If Mariemaia is indeed Treize's daughter, that would make her Dorothy's second cousin.

I know that she is a little bit of both,
but I do not remember her perfectly.
