Vamp, when girls say there's no reason you shouldn't have a girl friend, it means they class you as a good friend, but wouldn't want to spoil what they have with you in a relation. They're scared they'd loose such a good friend. If what you really want is a girlfriend not a girl friend, then ask someone you know you like but don't know well enough so there's nothing to find out about them.

3nodding yesh, but to be honest that seems to stand for nothing these days. I found out last week two of my "oh so holier than though" friends who constantly look down on me are pregnant. What do I have to say to that? Ha. I don't need to have sex to know that its over rated, just looking at what's going on around me is enough to put me off it. Less to do with religion and more of a personal descision. Hoe wells.

It's the fact that they're scared, not that you are. Even if there is something you can't just expect it. You need to show them that it really is ok for them to love you back without being scared, and that it wont be you just getting in their pants, but something long lasting and worth letting you in.
