StarMasayume I used to always ONLY draw females. For years and years, sketchbooks upon sketchbooks, digital art upon digital art. Woman figures seemed easier and more pleasant to draw with interesting results. My dad always pointed girls and wants I doodled a guy and showed him, the words "gasp, I drew a guy!" over his head. In the past year or few, however, as I've started drawing more fanart (mostly of guys), it's begun not only to feel as easy drawing them, but just as fun. Of course, the way I draw them, they're Bishonen/pretty boys, so I suppose it wasn't that huge of a jump lol I'm in a phase where I'm torn between the two. A couple of times when I couldn't decide to do male or female, I did both in the picture XD i also find it hard to make a truly masculine (not chuck norris masculine, just regular masculine) male. i'm just in love with the flowing lines of females, and it's hard to get away from that without being too obvious (like making them really ugly by accident, lol)

There are times when the difference in structure is very subtle between the genders. VERY subtle. But it's there enough that you can just glance at a character, or person, even, and see immediately that they are male or female. I used to walk around staring at people trying to figure out what defined their gender. lol. And it's hard to explain it...

When I was younger I'd always draw girls. Seeing as I am a girl, it just made sence to me. But recently, every person I draw turns out to be a guy, usually after the prime of his life. I just like drawing people with imperfections and strange expressions. xd

I prefer both, I am pretty confidend in drawing both males and females. I prefer to draw...
...well... I don't know... it depends on the mood I guess.
Lately it's been a lot of females... but usually I draw mostly males.

I know a girl who draws mostly men... and not pretty boys, but them manly men in the comic book style. She is an outlier. It seems like women are more popular to draw as far as bodies go. It is the curves for me as well... flowy pretty lines.
I had a man model in drawing class once... that was the most painful thing ever to try to do. He was short and muscular, but still lean... with powerful legs. The proportions and bumps and angles threw me off horribly. It took hours to do one drawing that looked even vaguely correct.
So I mostly draw women and children. But if it's difficult, we should probably should try to practice, huh?

lol. Yeah, if I find something that's hard for me, I generally try to draw a lot more of it (with the exception of man-made objects... still don't like them, even if I practice. xd ). Children are interesting to study... They're miniatures of adults, and yet they don't have quite the same features... It's interesting to find out what makes someone look "young" and "really young." It's not quite the same as "old" and "really old."

I only ever draw wimen. I've tried my hand at males, but they always look way too feminine. I need to work on that.

I've only ever had the chance to draw a male model...but I found him quite easy to draw really. He did have quite feminine hips though sweatdrop xp

I like to draw women. Specificly, myself. I have troubles drawing males and plus I'm just a really convinient model.
But I've got a painting in mind that has a male in it. Time to scour stock photos! Ugh. Any skinny lean boys out there willing to take a picture of themselves posing for me? lol sweatdrop

I draw women a lot more. I'm much better at serpentine lines than I am hard jagged ones. But it's super easy, because I normally only paint lesbians anyway. xp

I am not sure which is my favorite, butit's easier for me to draw a female than it is to draw a male. I guess it's because I'm more familiar with the female anatomy because I am one... I just like drawing people in general..

For full-body pieces, I'd rather draw females, but for portraits which show just the head and maybe bits of shoulder, I prefer male. I'm more familiar with the female anatomy so female bodies are more comfortable for me to draw, but the male face fascinates me greatly.
