Renzo says, "Well Strawberry, I leave it up to you two to bring us back anything interesting. However, Mr. Guardian has a point... large mecha will be noticeable. You can toss that issue to the ASDF posse and see if they have some sorta cloaking device or other nifty gadget... otherwise yea, small units for the win."

Yakima nods a bit reassuringly, "Leave it to us, well the moombas that is since they have to build the thing, but yea... just get 'Eep', Nida, and Sheriff to go along and I'm sure it'll be a fairly smooth trip."

Renzo buts in, "Mr. Guardian and four ladies? Oh man, if I didnt have this bad back..." Yakima just stops him there, "OK... Chief..." she just shakes her head, "alrite then, that's all we have. Inside those folders are some possible ways to reach those people, but shouldnt be too hard once u start the search I heard the ASDF has eyes everywhere." .o O (Which is why we're here kinda...)

Nodding in agreement with Yakima, Lindy picks up the folder then stands up from her chair but before leaving the room she turns to Guardian, "As a matter of fact I do have my own wheels. So you'll be riding all by yourself Mr. Guardian", slipping her tounge out slightly she giggles then waves at the three of them as Lindy exits the briefing room. Her mind drifts off into a daydream as she sees herself riding the new sleek red and white sport motorbike she got ahold of from a previous salvage mission, though to others it seemed more like pileaging an old warehouse.

A female comms worker knocks on the door and then enters as Yakima note it's unlocked. She bows to Yakima then hands her some paperwork, causing her to grimace a little then she chases down Lindy, "Well... if you want anything done right, you have to do it yourself ne?" She nods to the worker who chased behind her, "Ok, you can go now so much for a day off."

"Come with me Straw...er Lindy, seems something is going on at the ASDF, but comms cant figure it out so I'll give em a call from my room." She turns the corner and heads down the hallway to the officers personal quarters, a large name tag in Corsiva font placed neatly on the door indicates they've arrived. "Sorry, it's a tad messy.." she grins as she takes out a card and starts to slide it in.

Guardian watched as the others left, and then stretched and grinned at Renzo. "Four ladies on my bike would be nice... but a tad cramped. Guess I'lljust have to admire the 'scenery' from a distance." he chuckled, and then made his way to the door, watching Lindy and yakima disappear down the hall, and cocking his head to the side a tad, wondering what was up, but not wondering quite enough to follow.

He'd have to make some more arrangements back at the salvage site, but not much more than telling the crew chief's that he'd be gone a bit longer than expected, and to take care of his baby while he was off figuratively 'courting' the ASDF members who would help with the mission... After all, he could be charming, he just, wasn't very good at it.

Lindy's dream bubble bursts as she hears Yakima call out to her, turning to hear the details she thinks, "Work work and more work...", afterwards she follows Yakima to her personal quarters and takes notice of the fancy name tag, "Why dont I have personal name tag like this...or did you have to pay for this?", she asks while waiting behind Yakima. Though its not like she really wanted a personal name tag, Lindy was just making small talk.

Yakima grinned, "Well, we'll see what al we can dig up depending on how long you stay with us... Ive been a TORAMA member ever since I was born and all I really have to show for it is this nametag." As if that's really supposed to encourage anyone to stay.

Upon opening the door to her 'messy' room, it's actually quite nice, about the size of a two bedroom apartment with new furniture, carpeting, a juice bar, and exercise bike sitting infront of a large plasma screen TV which she notes, "Cant wait for us to get topside, the reception down here is lousy." She moves the bike out the way and walks to a small console next to it to begin typing in some information, security clearances, defensive measures such as antitrace, and the like.

"Alrite, let's see if anyone is home..." she walks to the front of the screen with a wireless headset and hands another pair to Lindy, "The is Yakima of Torama calling the ASDF, anyone listening?" She glances to Lindy again, "Hope we're not on call block kekeke." she chuckles.

When she walked into Yakima's room it wasnt what she expected from being "messy" as she said, her image had socks, underwear and shoes lying around, that's what she'd call messy. "Yeah the reception is crap...I've missed my favorite show a few times that I stopped watching it entirely. Those lightening storms kill it completely that I have to resort to hang around the hangar listening to the old pilots yack on about their stories.", she said as she took the headset and slid it over her head, adjusting the microphone to her lips.

Lindy giggles at Yakima's call block joke, "Maybe I should try it...ahem...", clearing her throat to speak in a rather cheap terrorist tone, "This Terrorist group Torama! We have President! Give $500mil money or President go bye bye!". Lindy got into the moment, flailing her arms around and doing hand gestures as if she was talking to them personally face to face.

The response was sharp and immediate, amped and boosted, tense and terse.

A young woman's voice, snapping everything out in a single machine-gun burst, like the staccato drum of a hyperactive woodpecker. Someone's attention had been raised, at least.

Yakima gave Lindy a look of ice daggers with the joke and then gave a silent groan as the worst had happened. She proceeded to step to the side away from the screen and commented with her hand over her mic, "Um, these are your former people so get to conversing. Try to get Eileen or Nida asap before we get in trouble." sweatdrop

With that she sat down at a console and began montioring any attempts at trace or other countermeasures. o O (Secure channel my a**... they must really be slipping if they're telling the truth, I could of done it easier by a quarter and pay phone.) She began to set up a few variable defense barriers... o O (grr let's see, random alphanumeric generator to start, antitrace false locale buffers should spare a few minutes at best, and lastly my Ose barrier if it comes down to it.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Back where Guardian was a moomba came in and nodded to him with a quiet, "Laguna". He began to straighten up the place and refil the bar from a small cart he had then turned to remember something as he started to leave to finish, "laguna!" he reacted. He walked over to Guardian and handed him what seemed to be a large marble and a note from his apron then gave a bow, "Laguna." He turned to leave. The marble itself is clear with a red flower petal design in the middle.

The note read:

You might need this on the metallic plane, just add water... but let's keep it on the downlow.

Guardian raised one eyebrow, and thanked the Moomba before reading the note...

Which caused his other eyebrow to rise up and meet the other...

"Just add water.... sounds kind of... odd, but, Okay." With that he stuck the marble into one of the pockets on his belt along with the note, and stalked off back out to his kneeling Wolverine, where he made arrangements for an 'extended' leave of absence, and requested that his Combat cycle be sent in on the next parts shipment (which was due in several minutes anyways by his watch). It was time to take his 'baby' for a spin... and who knows, maybe it would help charm the ASDF women.

Chicks dig bikes after all....

She blinks twice then turns to Yakima and grins, "Hey it got their attention." Lindy said before turning back to the screen that wasnt really displaying anything but white noise which made her dizzy a little. Shaking her head slightly she replied back to the operator who had picked up the 'phone', <"Im sorry, the line's must have crossed with someone else playing a joke on their friend. And that whole camouflage signal stuff...Im afraid I dont know how to turn it off. Im just a pilot...but enough about me, lets get down to business shall we.">

She pauses briefly to step away from the screen and leans on the exercise bike, . Pausing again before the operator can reply back, Lindy puts her hand on the mic, "Do I state the reason why Im calling them in this so called secure line because I think they'll hang up on me the minute I blab out its for some friendly chit-chat."

((Forgot about those "< >" for radio conversations sweatdrop , thanks for reminding me Saoszuc))

Meanwhile, on the ASDF end, the operator was covering her own mic. A few barked orders started several other comm techs in motion; a flurry of files, dossiers, and readouts began flying across monitors, while signal cracking machinery began engaging in redoubled effort.

"She's after Eep and Nida," the operator called into a different mic - this one a direct line to her supervisor. "I think you better patch in on this one."

By the time Lindy would continue her end of the conversation, no less than twelve people were eavesdropping very intently, all of them skimming those files, dossiers, readouts, and trace attempt logs as they listened.

Yakima grumbles, 'What little busy bees they are...' noting the ASDF. She looks to Lindy and comments, "Dont forget to mention it concerns Kenosha... oh and I almost forgot" she pokes her head into sight of the screen and says, "Tell Sheriff, Yakima says 'hey girlfriend, what's up?'" She then ducks back out of view.

After her lil shoutout, she sends a mental thought to the black mandies in the area. o O (Lock down all security with the best defensive and dummy barriers we have, if nothing else prepare plan trashdump if they manage to get through. Oh... and give Guardian clearance to the dock so he can launch as soon as we're ready. I'll open a gate when Im sure we're clear.)

[OOC]Just so you are all aware, it's quite difficult to mask the source of a radio signal unless you have multiple simultanious transmitters with precisely tuned timing delays so that the speed of light lag can't be used to determine the epicenter of the relays (Although interference is impossible to stop without frequency-hopping).
Further, any line securing you do has to have relevent equipment at the other end, or there's no way for the other person to understand you. I have no idea how random numbers factor into play, but I can't think of any effective use for them. I've never heard of an Ose barrier though, so I'd like to know what that is.

Also, no protection is retroactive. Unlike phone lines, triangulation of a radio source can be done on a signal of any length. It's like earthquakes in the aether. 3nodding

The more you know...

((I'm assuming that if they're applying antitrace measures, this isn't pure radio - this is being caught by some sort of substation and reformatted, possibly sent via Youtube or Myspace. razz Some way to allow the signal to be manipulated. Give 'em a break, T-boss.))
