"NO" kado yelled pushing Jadeira lightly. Kado rage started boiling up in him, trying to keep it under tone he drew his sword and waited for the women to attack. She came charging at him bringing the the dagger down towards him kado straffed to the right bringing the blade up at an angle cutting her wrists the sound of legiment and tendons breaking filled the air Kado slammed the back of his sword into her head bringing her down on the ground stunned.

She watched warily as The sorceress sunk into the grund, and groaned as she sunk to her knees, The bleeding was more profuse now, her breeches clung to her legs wetly. she clapped her hand over the wound, and swooned. she stripped off her tunic, not particularly caring about modesty at the moment, and worried more about preserving her life, She tore the fine silk, and wool into strips, and tied the strips around the slash tightly, although she had tied the bandage tightly, the blood began to soak through. and she could feel the fine silk fibers biting into her wound, and winced.

She managed to remain at least partly conscious on the way back to the castle, she immideatly slipped into blissful unawares as soon as her head touched the pillow. She woke up sometime later, and was bewildered to find herself in the medical wing. Slowly she began to remmember last night, she toughed the thick bandage around her waist cautiously, but the pain wasn't nearly as exrutiating as it had been. A white garbed nurse came bustling into her chamber, but stopped short when she saw how her charge had awakened. She made a hasty curtsy, andchecked the bandage. "Well Your majesty you gave us quite a scare, when that Kado friend of yourse came in last night you looked like yous was dead. And we had a nasty time picking out the silk fibers from your wound. not to mention fully half of the city saw you in not much more than your particulars, and bleeding everywhere. not very dignafied if youse ask me."
Jadeira grimaced.

"Bearable." She muttered crossly, "I can't believe I got stabbed! I should be out there patrolling the kingdom, keeping my people safe from that witch... Its going to take me weeks to get back into shape."
She resumed staring moodily at the ceiling.

(this isnt a very long one..oh well)

She sighed gustily, and turned onto her side, wincing slightly as the bandage rubbed against her wound. "Kado, I know how to fight... I'm not the most popular woman in Esperanza, alot of people don't approve of me ruling, prophecy or not. If I couldn't defend myself, I would have been worm food long before now." She swept her hair out of her face, and yawned. "I've never, ever had such a severe wound. I didn't even have time to react before she impaled my like a frickin shish kabob!" She pounded her fist angrily on the table, and gazed up at Kado, her eye twitching. " I'm going to gut her like a fish!"

((lol, Jadeira is being cynical, and I find it rather amusing)

Jadeira turned to watch his as he left, and sighed inwardly. The nurses weren't around and she didn't feel like laying down right now. Being a queen was tedious, and she didn't feel like laying down on the job. She stripped off the plain garb they wore in the medical wing in favor of a dark grey robe of silk. This grandeur wasn't her normal choice of clothing, but there were foreighn envoys expected at any time, and it wouldn't do to keep them waiting at any time. A silver circlet kept the hair out of her eyes, as she strapped her sword to her waist, the comforting weight settled on her hip, and she threw open the curains with a flourish. gripping the window sill, she lightly vaulted down into the gardens. And doubled over in pain. She braced herself against the wall, as the pain subsided. She neither felt, nor heard of a pain that intense before, as though In icy blade had been pressed into her side and lit her insides..on fire... curious. She felt perfectly fine though, as so continued her leisurely stroll. Now.. Where had Kado said he was going? The meadows. That was it, she had spoken in haste, not considering the offer. Hours practicing with company appealed much more than he dreary hours of exercise squeezed in between arranging banquets, making life and death decisions, and punishing wrongdoers. No wonder the last king was bald, she mused, half the time I feel like yanking my hair out as well.
By this time she could vaguely make out Kado dozing. She approached quietly and settled down next to his sleeping form.

She shrugged, "probably." She leaned back, and gazed up at the clouds. " Not that it matters, Im half demon, I heal faster than others. Its in my blood." That was mostly the truth. She healed alot faster than others, already muscle and tissue were knitting back together after only a night, and day of bedrest. But the dull ache in her abdomen was persistant, and very annoying. "The envoy is leaving in a bit..." She began softly, still gazing up at the heavens, " My sister has to go with them, to help with negotiations. I know we've only just met Kado, but you are the best fighter I've ever seen, and I've seen champions from all over the world, and fought for my life against demons, and angry nobles. Nadira is tough, but she's no warrior. If trouble arises she would be close to helpless, I would feel so much better if you were to travel with the envoy... If only until it reaches Pearle. Then you could do what you want, leave, stay, come back. Whatever you choose. I would go myself but, well lets just say being Queen, isn't always the best thing." jadeira sighed inwardly, her hot headed younger sister would not appreciate any of Jadeira's 'meddling', no matter her sisters good intentions. " As I said, your not my warrior, this isn't an order, or a mission. Merely a request. From a friend."

She smiled brightly, "Mostly trained warriors, and the like, a few of my stuffy scholarly-like advisors, who cannot defend themself against a beesting, and my sister. Who's likely to bite my head off if she finds out I sent protection."
She looked towards the clouds, and sighed. " I love storms.... Im glad that Esperanza is now a place where you can rest, and relax." She looked down at her hands, which were clenched into fists. " My so called father would not have it so, had he not been slain years ago. He ravaged this land, and then left me here, expecting me to take up his throne, but here I am, rebuilding, and protecting my kingdom from the savage miscreants who have tryed to take his place. I mean. I obviously wasn't there when all of this happened, but his reign makes this murderess seem like a child playing a game. I should be thankful, my advisors well, advise. But Im not, because there is something so wrong about that woman, She chills me to the bone."
