After having been through catholic school, studied many religions extensively and pursuing a degree in Philosophy, I can honestly say spirituality and organized religion have nothing to do with each other. Organized religion is an institute. It wants you, your money and you devotion. You sacrifice your freedom to be a member of the church just like you sacrifice freedom to be protected and live in the United States (or any country for that matter). You can choose not to. You can choose to keep your freedom and sort out the world for yourself. Instead of using the pre-printed version of the universe, puzzle through it and write your version. Truth is subjective, truth is unique to you. Don't be lazy and take the easy way to faith.
