I had an eargasmic song last quarter of last year. It was soooo flippin awesomeeee. My friends and I just called it "Plaudite" but it was actually called "A Choral Flourish." It was so cool. And at the end, there WOULD HAVE BEEN six part harmony if the other sop.s would have actually sung their part. (I got to sing the A at the end and I was happy. Because we never go high in my choir and I'm a high sop.)

Calixte Dae Lux Aeterna (Movement Seven from Requiem By Mendolson) is a very dramatic, eargasmic song. choirofsteeloranges Yes, that was a very eargasmic song. Very good dynamics. "Shenandoah" (sp) is a very eargasmic song....So is "Ave Maria.." "Shenandoah" is a song I love so much, I love to sing it, to listen to it, to play it. I love 'Shenandoah'. surprised
..I think the most eargasmic song I've ever sang is one called "Awake, Awake" - it was a couple of years ago so I can't remember who it's by - sweatdrop and then there's this one called "Homeland" that's a choral rendition of "Jupiter" from The Planets. Also very eargasmic. ^_^

The most eargasmic songs we've ever sang are 'The Lord is My Shepherd' and 'The Andrew Lloyd Webber Medley.' Yes, back when we were good...

I know what it means wink
I like "Shenandoah", "Poor Wayfarin' Stranger" and "Wade in the Water."
All slave songs...hahaha...but last night I was at a concert, and the high school sang "Wade in the Water" and I nearly cried...

The most eargasmic song for me would DEFINATLEY have to be the ORIGINAL recording (Michael Crawford, not Gerard Butler) of "Music of the Night" from ALW's "The Phantom of the Opera" (which, by the way, makes me world go 'round.) When he hits that high Ab... ((shudders)) I know it sounds cheesy, but it seriously makes me melt, with the weak knees and everything.

I can't hear it, but is it "Sing Me To Heaven"? I read the posts and that's what it looks like it's supposed to be xd
My choir sang this a couple years back and it was very popular with the audiences we sang for. However, now my most favorite eargasmic song has to be a choral arrangement of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings." It's heavenly! heart

oh wow my chorus is doing (and recording) that song this year! apparently, according to my director, it's one of the classic chorus songs. and it is beautiful. (however, your link is broken) my chorus recently commissioned this amazing song called 'Echo', as well as this other song called 'the womanly song of god' (and i quote: i am the god of a thousand names. why cannot one of them be woman singing?) both of which are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and definitely qualify as 'eargasmic'

Most eargasmic song?...Probably for me (and the rest of my choir) it would be Eric Whitacre's Water Night. If you ever hear those chords performed in a place with amazing acoustics, it gives you goosebumps. In my mind, those chords/overtones gave the image of...well...rippling water. It's a song very near and dear to our choir because we worked with Eric Whitacre himself on it.
