Jaenelle had silently crawled into the Arena, noticing that everyone else was busy, and spied Kallisto as the last student to enter before her. She watched as the Sanguine jumped behind a pile of hay, then come running out again to try and hide herself behind a wall.
Intent on her target Jaenelle ran with the swiftness her thin and lithe body allowed her to take cover behind one of the plexiglass windows. It hung from the ceiling but it was long enough to cover her body AND it allowed her to view the entire obstacle course along with the opponents without letting her be hit. Since her back was to a wall, she was pretty safe! (Until someone came running up fast enough to force her out, that is.)
Lifting the barrell of the castor gun up, Jaenelle leaned over so she could sight down the gun....aimed directly at Kallisto.
FIRE!
Jaenelle shot off two rounds and quickly ducked behind the glass.

Nadyrr laughed faintly as he realized he hit himself with the shot he had meant for Grave, seems that the fates had smiled on the boy. Grumbling a little at his other wasted shot he lets a shell off toward Kallisto as she moves.

Seeing Elanin distracted as she ran for a new position, Jaenelle moved the castor gun around the plexiglass, aimed down the barrel (adjusting for the fast that she had a moving target) and FIRED!

Grave let out a short cry of dismay as he felt an explosion of pain in his hand. He looked down and saw the last of the shots he'd fired had exploded out the back of the castor gun, and he had cut himself. The cut was small, and it only bled a little, but still Grave winced. Movement caught his eye and he looked up. As quickly as he could he cleared the dud from his gun and loaded a fresh shell. He aimed and fired once at Kallisto as he saw her dart and roll from her cover. He saw Ubel dart when he felt another hit, and diving backwards across the the dirt he rolled against the other side of the platform that Nadyrr crouched behind and shoving the tip of his castor gun through one of the small holes in the wood, he fired twice.

Owwww! A paintball squared in neatly in the chest and raised a welt. It stung something fierce and she tried rubbing it to ease the pain. Deep breaths only resulted in spasming muscles.
She groaned. That was wonderful. Now she was mad. Spinning around, she sent a volley at the first person she spotted : Jaenelle.

Aysel cried out as another yellow shot hit her...another one from Ube. And suddenly, she was vaguely miserable. He'd been the first one she met here, her first friend...and now they were fighting, all becuase of Grave.
Grave. Where was he? She looked around, but it took a moment for her to spot him. Hiding in some barracades. She vaulted herself up onto one of the lower brick walls, and then flattened herself against it as she fired a single shot at him, and then swung down.

"Eep!" Nadyrr squealed rather girlishly feeling a shot from below. He was feeling sorry before but now all bets where off. "You know you are just asking for it now..." Nadyrr moves to the edge of the platform and drops down the side letting off two shots at Grave before attempting to roll off to the side. He then caught sight of an acedemic female Jaenelle and sent a shell her way before scampering behind a barrel.

Elanin, dove quickly behind cover and then popped up, aiming at the nearest target not even getting a bead on who it was, and fired off two quick shots. Then she Jaenelle and smirked, taking aim again and fired off a third before running again.
Hit and run hit and run, no stopping!

Damn and blast!!! She had missed Elanin and had apparently overestimated her speed at which she ran and the shot fired before the target.
Jaenelle staggared backwards as all four shots connected on her person. She stood gasping for air as her muscles spasmed in protest at the pain and it took a few moments of still recovery until she was able to feel the stinging pain lessening enough for her to concentrate again. She looked and saw that Kallisto had returned fire.
Grinning in a mischevious way, Jaenelle saluted the Sanguine as if to say 'job well done'.
This plexiglass idea had SEEMED like a good one. Now realizing a fault in her cover, Jaenelle looked about the Arena. Spying a barrel resting next to one of the brick walls, she ran as fast as her body would carry her and dove behind the barrel which she pulled at a right angle to the wall.
After taking a few deep breaths to calm her rapidly beating heart, Jaenelle pushed herself to her knees, rested the castor gun on the barrel and took aim.
How conveniant, she had a good view of Nadyrr and took the shot. Three, in fact.

Grave saw Aysel leap up and fire before she disappeared and a white paint splatter slapped him across the cheek. The lilac skin around the spot where it hit, darkened into a bruise, and Grave's expression deepened into something akin to storm clouds. Okay, that was it. Blast trying to make friends with the damn girl. If she wanted to target him, two could play that game. He looked around to see what he could use to his advantage. Scrambling to his feet, he leapt up and grabbed one of the hanging plexiglass sheets and swung up into the air, letting go with one hand to fire off three shots at Aysel before letting go and landing heavily behind a false door. If only they'd all be duds and break her ribs, he found himself growling.

Having been tagged twice in the same spot now, Kallisto moved out. She was hurting now and looked for someone else who would understand. She noticed Lauryn's salute and smiled back. Waving a little, she continued on her way. I might hook up with her later...
Aysel convienantly swung into view at that moment and a couple rounds were fired off. Whether or not they hit didn't matter. Kallisto felt better now.
It was time to find a good spot to sniper from. She stalked around, keeping close to the walls and low to stay out of people's vision. Spotting a high up platform with covered walls but exposed ladder, she made a break for it. Hopefully she could make it before being brought down with paintballs.

"AIE!" Elanin screeched as her first shot from her inital barrage exploded in her face, she wiped the paint away from her eyes and grumbled, moving along still she hopped over some cover and ducked down, trying to find a target. Looking around she darted away from her landing spot again, and hurdled over another set of cover, before taking aim at Grave again, as he swung up into the air, and fired three quick shots.

Two shots wizzed by her head but thankfully missed. Jaenelle risked a look over the barrel and saw Kallisto making a run for it. Feeling the sting of those four well-aimed shots she drew up her gun, layed in on the barrel, aimed more carefully for a moving target this time, and fired off two shots.

Well, she'd been hit with black and blue paint...but that wasn't the only thing that was going to be black and blue. She cried out in pain as Kallisto's dud hit her square in the back. She was dismayed to find tears streaming down her cheeks at the sudden sharp pain, and she quickly fired three shots back at her- karma, you jerk. D<
