Starshine furrowed her brow lightly as he turned away from her, had she said something horrably wrong? Her ears flicked back and she pressed her nose against his cheek. She hadnt known he was crying, but he seemed almost ashamed of something. "Alright, If you think that Is best... waiting isnt much but its something... I can only hope things arnt as bad as they seem..." she sighed softly, her tail flicking against the ground. "Should we stay here then Kanati...at your teepee?"

Kanati looked at Starshine his eyes were still watery and the sun danced off the tear trails on his cheeks.
"For once....your teacher has not the awnser to the question you seek.
Im afraid I am at a loss.I dont know how to protect you or anyone else agaisnt the powers of these strange demons. I cant even understand myself right now." Kanati said then hanging his head low.

Starshine found his words only slightly disheartening, she knew she was going to have to be the strong one for awhile. She smiled softly. "Well Wise one... Perhaps its time your student shows you a thing or two... Over thinking can be your downfall.." she nodded her head softly. "lets try to simplafy the situation..."

Kanati's ears twiched lightly and he looked up at her and smiled slightly.
"Simplafy,Hmmm?" Kanati begain to walk in the circle that was the clearing of which circled Kanati's teepee.
"Clear my head............thats it clear my head. " He looked at her. "I shall intrust you with a place Ive never intrusted to anyone before, not to Unesdala or even Bongo. I go there when Im confused about a matter. Its a beatiful place and its safe. If you will, Ill take you there and we shall stay there till we do know what to do about the pale face demons." his words word clear and true.

"I would be honored to follow you to that place of solitude." starshine said softly, a smile on her lips. It seemed her words had thrust him into action, and she was glad of that. Her head too could do with some calming. The worry of this new threat was forever on her mind. "Im ready to go there when you are ready to take me." she said at length, raising her indigo eyes to look at him. The worry was written on his face, and she knew this would do him good. For as much as it was a comfort to have him by her side, she knew he was constantly worried about what may happen to her. She was a sort of burden...and hopefully this trip would help lessen that restraint.

 Kanati smiled lightly and then looked around twiching his ears.
"Alright lets go then.We will have to becareful no telling where they have moved to since then."Kanati staring at her. Why was he so confused about her. All over female he had ever seen he couldnt careless, but she was different.
"Umm this way."he said then heading out of the clearing and making for the exist of the forest. He wasnt going very fast to make sure he doesnt run blindly into something.

Starshine smiled softly at him as his wise eyes seemed to burrow deep inside of her. Why was her staring at her? She lightly cocked her head to the side, her horn flashing in the morning light. Finally he seemed to snap to attention and she nodded. "Alright." She quirked a brow, lately he had seemed lightly...off. Slightly.. awkward. Was she having some sort of effect on him? She frowned softly at the thought, he was so wise what could she had done to make him act so odd. Maybe it was her inexperiance....She huffed and pushed those thoughts from her mind. They had bigger things to deal with and whos to say that she was the problem? After all, she wasnt the center of the univerce. She smiled as she followed him through the woods, to his special place. She said not a word, stilled by the silence and trying to listen to the spirits, although their cries filled her heart with sorrow.

Kanati stopped just near the edge of the forest.
He scanned the area his ears twiching wildly.
Then with cation he moved for the plains. Turning to look a Starshine every once and awhile.
How could she have such an effect on him.
~Maybe its because she understands and beleaves in me~ he thought as he entered the plains carfully.
"We have to travel through the plains abit and get to the moutains on that side.Hopefully we can make the trip with no encounters." he said finally his ears pinning down as his voice cracked lightly.

The mare nodded quietly, her indigo eyes scanning over the plans. They seemed quiet... but whos to say that was really the case. She felt her fur bristle at the thought. How blissfully had she travled over the open planes into the moutains with but a little caution, if any at all. How freely she had ran then, and how happy she had been. Fear gripped against her throat as a thought struck her, even without that contraption that the pale faces put on their soquili slaves, they where already controlling her with their actions. She shuddered softly and moved to Kanati's side. She was safe with him. She remained silent, fearing her voice would crack with the fear that griped her body.

Kanati watched her come to his side. Even through his worry he smiled.
What made him smile and shook his head at his own craziness.
"Dont worry everything will be ok." he whispered creeping through the plains though with a quick pace.
The mountains could be seen and were not to far away.
He couldnt wait until they were safe there.
When they reached the mountain he stared at it for a moment before following a thin path through some rocks and heading slightly upwards.

Starshine found his words re-assuring as she followed him at a trot through the open plains. The Gass tickled her belly as she quickly passed by, and her fear seemed to drift from her the closer she got to their destination. It seemed like suc a holy place, Kanati's thinking spot, that she pushed alll negativity from her mind while thinking of it. Kanati as well seemed tp fill her with strength, With him by her side they could do anything. She smiled at him, a true smile that broke through her with radiance. Her mane and tail difted behind her like a fanfair of a live rainbow drifting in a sea of grain.
She broke through the feild and lightly trotted up the thin path leading into the forest, had she not been following Kanati she wouldnt have even known the pth was there. "I already feel more at peace." she said quietly to him, as the continued on their journey.

Kanati smiled turned to smile at her before continuing.
He followed the path through twist and turns till he stopped suddenly and threw his weight on a rock that was barly blocking another path. Kanati waited for her to enter.
"Its alittle dark but just walk abit and you'll be able to see again." Kanati stared at her, he was so confused.
Kanati pushed the rock back into its place once he had followed her in.
Once through the path there was an opening. To a hidden valley filled with enough stuff to live off of. The sound of water could be heard and just in a distance was a small waterfall which was the life to the trees and fruits there. The only other creatures that were there were butterflies and song birds.
"Well this is it." he said taking a calming breath.

The viberant mare smiled a bit as he turned back to look at her. Her indigo eyes locked onto her compaion with a grateful look as he moved the rock out of the way and waited for her to pass. "Thank you." She said as she manuvered her way through the path. Darkness overtook her as she continued on, but she was un-afriade as Kanati's words comforted her. Her golden horn glinted in the darkness prouducing a small circle of light around her pale form. All at once tha darkness gave way, and the warm summer light rained down upon her. She smiled and closed her eyes, head lifted to the welcoming rays. The place was magic. In its stillness, in its nature, in its solitude. She felt humbled here...

Kanati smiled feeling slightly at peace.
He walked fowards into the grass and watched a butterfly fly past his face.
"This place its untouched. Ive known about it since I was a foal.
Ive never told anyone about it before." he said turning to look at her. His curly hair just haing in his eyes. He peered at her as she embraced the sun and the over all natural magic of this hideout.
Kanati flattened his ears as seemingly it felt as though he had swallowed butterflies and they were still moving about inside him.
"Im going to get some water." Kanati said walking over the the small lake made by the small waterfall.
He bent over to drink as he thought over his feelings.

Starshine nodded softly. "I am deeply honored that you have brought me here." she said, a small smile dancing over her features. She watched him walk over to drink deeply from the cold water from the waterfall, and she took this time to ponder over his actions as of late. He had been acting strange, no long quite the teacher he had been, he was more of a companion, and she did, deeply long for his company in these trying times. Starshine also felt something else, something she couldnt place as she looked at the magestic stallion that had taught her so much...
