I wish I were in a Japanese class. >.< My high school used to offer Japanese classes, but not anymore. Supposedly because not even students would be interested. Even though...I can think of a dozen off the top of my head who would be.

I'm actually taking an online class (they call it the Digital Learning Center) because my school is so low quality that they barely have enough funds to hire all the regular teachers. I don't know who my teacher is yet (according to my onee-chan, you have to like sign on and talk to your teacher at fixed times...O_o...) but then again I haven't even started school yet (I do on Tuesday).
It's level 1 Japanese out of a grand total of only 2 levels. I'm not even sure if they have level 2 anymore. But at least it's a bit of Japanese...I'm not sure if the other schools in the area have Japanese at all.

Unfortunately, they don't teach japanese at my school. I have to learn it off the internet and books (or atleast I would learn out of books if the shops around where I live sold them. I think South West England is Japanophobic.)
What's really annoying is they teach it at my first secondary school, but at £15,000 a year, the chances of me returning there and being able to learn it properly are minimal.

Ah yes, I forgot. Watashi no sensei no namae wa Toyota Shigeko desu. My teacher's name is Shigeko (first) Toyota (last). It's a girl teacher I believe.
About those who don't have Japanese classes at school: I've heard the Rosetta Stone programs are really good, but they cost an arm and a leg.
But really, my Japanese class is barely more than I could learn by myself with a few Japanese-speaking friends. This guild (mostly Aiko-sensei) has taught me more than I've learned in my class so far, as has my previous studying.
Just ask a few people on this guild for help, find a few Japanese shows on Youtube, a few good dictionaries, and maybe even a textbook! (I learned a TON out of my sister's old Japanese textbook: Adventures in Japanese.)

I actually have no teacher sweatdrop I'm currently self-studying, and have been for about a year and a half.
I'll probably take a few classes next summer, and hopefully next year in high school.
