SnornL ibanez_chick_nz Aquanea SnornL Aquanea I have it for the PC and it runs very smoothly (although I've spend a lot of money on graphic cards and the like). I've downloaded so much custom stuff that it can take a while to load, but it is worth it for all the amazing stuff the community makes. A lot of the custom items and clothing are better than the stuff made by the actual game designers. xd I just wish they'd make a pet expansion pack for the Sims 2 like the "Unleashed" pack from the Sims 1. My sims need mew-mews! 3nodding Well, you're in luck, guess what's next? xd Check here for more info. smile I agree that a lot of custom content tends to be better than the stuff Maxis has released... I would have got sick of the game a lot sooner if there wasn't such a great modding community. 3nodding I'm kind of over it at the moment anyway, but I daresay I'll get back into it once Pets is out. smile OMG kitties! I haven't seen those sites before, thanks. heart Now I'm really excited for the next pack to come out. biggrin YAY! cant wait for that to come out! xd Aw yeah, I'm already getting excited thinking about which of my sims are going to end up being crazy cat ladies. xd I especially love that pets have their own genetics, I'm gonna have a lot of fun with that. whee I don't know how good Unleashed was, coz I only bought the first two expansions for Sims 1... I was going to buy more when they released them as a boxed set, but then they announced Sims 2 was in development, and I decided to just hold out and wait. So glad I did, Sims 2 is such a huge improvement! smile The only console Sims game I've played was for GBA, though I've watched someone play it for PSP. I'm just not interested in the console versions, managing a single sim and guiding them through a rigid plotline is a bit on the boring side to me. I like the challenge of watching over everyone at once in a large family and keeping them all on platinum aspiration while still managing to do well at school, advance in their careers, etc. 3nodding Haha, all of my sims will end up as crazy cat ladies XD I'm really excited about the genetics for pets too. In Unleashed the kittens just turned out kinda random when your cat had babies, so there wasn't really much sense to it ;p

Yeah, I have it for PC. I don't have open for business because that on top of NL, UNI, and of course the original would FRY my computer's processor. However once I get my new computer I'll be able to have them all and run smooth.
I like the idea of mods and custom content for the main reason that if I look hard enough, I can find any character, and if I can't then I just make my own. My opinion on the console versions versus the PC version is that the console versions are horrible when put next to the PC version. rolleyes

I love it for the PC but absolutely hate it for the consol, yet I can't pull away despite how hard I try confused

I don't think that the Sims is an RPG, I think it is simulation or life simulation, some catogory like that.

i wonder if they'll make a Sims2 version of Superstar... that was one of my favourite expansions from the original sims. they should also bring back the musician career track!

An RPG would be a game inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, that would involve combat and puzzles to complete the game. You don't fight trolls or zombies in the Sims. lol

I have the PC version. Much better than the PS2 version...I think that took away so much of the point of the game. I love the PC version, I've made sims of all of my friends and family and some random ones too. ^^
Plus I always download a ton of stuff for it.

I have the sims 2 for the pc but my brother keeps deleting it because of memory and then he keeps wondering why I don't play it anymore. stare

I love the sims, and the sims2. when I got the sims 2 it was everything i imagined the sims was, it made me so happy. now I'm excited for all the expansions comming out. I really don't like that the sims is out for consols other than the PC, I feel it's more of a PC only game. It just doesn't feel right on anything else.
