Hmm. Anyone know of a contatct address for her? DX
I've seen another article about Dir en grey from her, and this just blows my mind DX Just the fact that someone would publish something when she doenst have half a clue about half the things shes talking about ?
....And what really irked me, is that she obviously hasn't listend closely to the music! XD Kyo sings in English, Japanese, German, and even a few lines in some songs in Russian XDDD It may not be the best spoken, but its there, and even in WTD, if you listen to the song, I've yet to find one person who cant hear "Eins Zwei Drei Vier" XD
..... ..So yes, contact address anyone? Email or something? XD

driver_elle Yosh! There's no comparison, and if there was, it wouldn't be fair... How could it? Americans and Japanese have different definitions when it comes to many genres even, which is probably why this author decided to categorize it so loosely...
But even if they didn't say it exactly in the words that "they were bad" or whatever, the direction of this article cannot be denied to be giving a fair perspective to readers who have never heard of Dir en grey before.
As a magazine, these kinda articles are supposed to give a true and factual information presented to the reader and let them make their own decisions about the band, not make it for them!
(I completely have no problem with her disliking this band, just don't go bashing it, which is what I strongly felt she was doing when reading this... on top of trying to ignore each time "Kaoru's" name was spelt wrong...)

O ok and on a completely random note, speaking of Kyo, this chick has got to be the best Kyo-cosplayer I have ever seen! I swear, her features are even a little bit similar to his, which is actually a little eeire, thought I was actually looking at Kyo in some of her pictures... you have to check this out.

[clicky!] I only uploaded the pic to my photobucket, so I could do a side by side comparison.   I'm trying to find a bigger pic of Kyo. will change pics soon as I do. She did a very good job. Though the earrings are in the wrong ear. And I think also the ears aren't the same.... But still.... could pretty much be twins. eek

i dont like this at all. its like she's saying diru are some wannabe-yankee band. like they're just copycats, llike they're not an original band...
i CANNOT forgive the comparisons. linkin park and tool arent bands to compare them too; their music is far too synthetic more focused on sound then technical talent.
i agree with the comparison to 'tallica and actually see it as a compliment, but it's so obviously not meant to be a complement. yes, i can hear some 'tallica-style riffs in diru's songs, but this one makes it sound like they're just using someone else's work for their own gain; taking inspiration from a band is a completely different thing.
and j-rock is completely different from '80s glam because j-rockers actually tend to be proper musicians. also j-rock has completely different origins as far as i know
i dont understand how this was publish. its blatant lack of research and respect should have sent it flying into the rubbish bin stare
