Mitchell smirked, 'Yeah, I'm sure I'll be changing soon .. but hey, whatcha going to do? .. I can't stop it .. and it's not like I don't have anything else to lose.' He paused, 'Oh man, that sounded so emo.' A chuckle escaped the Italian Stallion's lips.

Shiftly slightly, Mitch shook his head, 'No .. but, I'm relieved the others didn't make it .. or else they'd have the same fate as me.' Looking over his shoulder, he sighed .. a dazed look in his eyes, 'Or else they'd have to live knowning they left everything behind.'

Elissa .. his parents .. his brothers .. his horse .. his friends .. his family.

The only thing he has left of them is the pictures .. and the memories.

Mitchell didn't admit it outloud, but it was obvious he still loved Elissa; engagement had crossed his mind from time to time.

He still has their formal picture next to his bed in his duplex.

But, Mitchell may have come to the island, everything he loved lost (except his guitar, which miraculously landed on the beach some half a mile away along with some of his luggage; only slightly wet) .. but he had gained things as well. New friends for one. Marshall was like an older brother to him.

But, now was not the time to drown in horrid memories. It was time to party!

Sophie glanced at Raven without saying a word: even though her discovery of the island had already come and past, Sophie's first impression of the girl ran deep, and she wasn't quite willing to trust her yet. However, she was content to listen to the others, at least until Gaius considered bringing alcohol into the mix.

"Yick, I can't believe you guys can drink that stuff," Sophie retorted, rubbing her left shoulder. No one on the Island knew, of course, but the symbol for Aquarius had been tattoed there after Sophie had enjoyed a drink or five. "I think I'd rather dance, if it came down to it." Seconds after making her last comment, though, she regretted it: surely someone would take it as an offer.

There was no telling what could happen at parties.

"Man, sorry to hear that, Mitch..." Gaius looked down at his drink, feeling a bit awkward. Poor guy... Gaius's own family only thought he was out of touch working on a new job, not dead... He could only hope that he faded from their memories as time passed without word from him. It gave him a little hope that they'd never have to mourn his untimely passing, he didn't want to hurt his father like that.

Glancing up at Marshall, he smiled and dumped half of the orange stuff into another glass, adding a bit more juice as Sophie expressed her dislike. "Ah, don't worry, this is mostly juice anyways... I can't hold much alcohol, much to my friends' amusement... at least, this SHOULD be mostly juice..."

Giving his glass a scrutinizing look, he tilted it back to take a gulp. He tilted his head, as if pondering the taste, then grinned and pushed a glass towards Marshall. "Not too bad! Maybe I should take up drink mixing too!"

Marshall took the glass, not really sure if he should...But hey, it was a party, why the hell not?! With one fell swoop he pratically threw the liquid down his throat, grimacing at how it stung. He coughed a little, before smirking.

"Woah...Now thats a spicy meatball!" he said, slighty red in the face already. "Gimme 'nuther, Gaius my man!" he said, holding out the glass, not noticing Sophie's discouragement or the fact that he was discouraging this behavior from Mitchell..

Gaius had only managed down about half of his so far and gave Marshall a startled look when he plopped down his cleaned glass. "Uh, right, sure!" Compliantly, he refilled the glass, taking a moment to top off his own as well. Another gulp and a light flush was coming to Gaius's face and his grin seemed a bit wider. "Haa, I dunno, dancing ain't all that bad! Just as long as there's no one for me to fall over!"

Oh...great. Just great.

Sophie had been through this scenario before: everyone else gets drunk, has a great time, wakes up the next morning with a headache...Well, Sophie woke up with headaches anyway, but that wasn't the point. She knew that by the end of the night, something stupid was going to happen, and somehow, she would get blamed for it in the morning.

"Guys, I think it's time you put away the vodka..."

Of course she'd be ignored. But she had to try. Leaning against the bar, she put a hand on her forehead and shook her head back and forth, blonde curls springing up and down in the dance lighting. "Oy..."

Shrugging, Mitchell watched as the two downed the drinks.

He couldn't believe it! Marshall had always discouraged him to drink; yet here he was. But, then again, Mitchell didn't care. He had never seen Marshall drunk, thus this will be fun.

Turning to Sophie, he smirked, 'Don't worry; I'm staying sober tonight.'

[Sorry, that was fast. I've got to go catch the bus! <3]

Raven hated having nothing to say. Her instincts were telling her to say something but she couldn't. Raven started braiding her hair in her nervousness, which showed one of her ears. Her pointed elflike for now ear. Raven was uninterested in getting drunk.

"Right! Sober! At least until you're 21!" Gaius grinned under his bright flush. "You are over 21, aren't you?" he asked Marshall.

He was feeling MIGHTY good about now. The music was pounding, people were filling the dance floor, and the screwdriver had glossed over most of his shyness. Tapping his hands with the music, Gaius gave a goofy grin. "Ya know, I wanna do something!"

Once again, Marshall pratically threwthe liquid down his throat. This one went down a lot easier than the last one. "Thats right! Not until you're 21!...Which I am, darnit!" Marshall lectured to Mitchell before looking back at Gaius, very red in the face now.

"Y'know...I wanna do some thing too!" he said, putting the glass back on the table.

"Something!" Gaius agreed. He scratched his head, trying to think through the haze that had settled over his brain. "Uh..." The thrum of the music drifted into his thoughts and he grinned. "It's a dance party, so let's go dance!" Before anyone could protest, Gaius was pushing Marshall and Sophie towards the dance floor, figuring the others would likely follow.

Gallen looked away a distant look in his eyes as Mitch finished his story.

The lose of family I know too well.

He looked at Mitch his eyes, usually known to everyone who ever met him as bright and cheerful, had gone pale and dead.

They died in Tibet while on a dig. I was about 15 then, my sister took me in and she raised me for a few years before she was promoted....and then vanished. I know that lose too well, even at 23 I still feel it. MY old life before here was helping others over come that and to find lost loved ones.

He sighed and shook his head, it had been a while since he fully thought of his parents and that faithful night the call came to he and his sister.

A month huh, till the first change, I hope my injection was a dud and I can get out of here. I still have a mission to complete, and my sister to find. But while I am here if you need some one to talk to I am here Mitch.

Gallen sighed as the two started to get more tipsy.

Um guys I think you may have had enough, that is pretty strong stuff there lads.

As they finished and MarshelL and Sophie hit the dance floor Gallen leaned back on the bar. He watched the happy faces and smiled again trying to forget eths ad memories.

Marshall is an amazing cartoonist, I just studied painting long ago before radio, but Marshall is awesome

Gallen looked over to Mitch as he said this.

Mitch looked over at Gallen, 'It's nice to know I'm not alone.' A pause, 'But it's different. They're still alive. They think I'm dead ...'

Mitchell watched as Gaius, Marshall and Sophie were pushed onto the dance floor. In the back of his mind, he thought, 'Finally!' and looked over at Gallen, 'You coming?' He started stepping towards the trio on the dance floor.

It was then, Mitchell noticed the other girl .. he didn't think he's ever seen her before. He waved to get her attention, once this was done, he made a motion to the group on the dance floor ... Of course, asking her to join them.

I am sorry, I misunderstood. But do not give up hope maybe one day you will se them again.

Gallen knew this was more so a nice lie, but still it was a beakon of hoped.

Umm dance? Sure what the hell, just make sure I do not step on any paws or feet out there, I am not the best dancer.

Gallen followed and with the group made his way through fellow islanders both human and fur. He seems to be a lot more elegant in not bumping into folks, almost cat like in movement.
