"Eden Yamoto," said Eden as she sat down in a nearby chair. After she had settled in, she looked around the room. It seemed... very full. There were a lot of papers around the Hokage. 'If that's what Hokage-sama has to fill out everyday... I'm surprised she's able to run the village...' thought Eden, her respect for the Hokage going up.

"Hetachi, Jeiden." He chanted automatically. Without warning, he leapt up from his seat and was bobbing up and down in front of Tsuande with anticipation. "Hey, Old-Hokage-lady, what kind of mission are you sending us on?" His face bore a look of mingled curiousity and excitement, a look that hadn't been on his face for a while since the attacks on Konoha. Jeiden had been stuck with house repair, and hadn't been paid much. Hopefully he'd get a real Ninja's mission! Jeiden was already dreaming up fantasy conflicts with Sound nin in his mind, maybe there would be enemy nin to fight!

"...Jace Strife" waiting for Jeiden to finish he defiantly had some respect problems. After finding a seat and Jeiden ran out of breath Jace finished, "My name's Jace I graduated top of the final class before the attack, I am Ninjutsu Taijutsu User." Keeping a respectful eye contact awaiting any questions.

Jeiden looked over at Jace, for some reason he reminded Jeiden of Sasuke a bit, only Jace seemed not quite as pompous and probably a bit more respectful. "Your grades aren't gonna matter on the battlefield, I was a subpar student and I can beat up all the so called 'geniuses' from my class." He said to Jace with his eyebrows raised. "Good grades are good for first impressions...but otherwise..." The boy shrugged, as if saying experience mattered more than booksmarts.

Eden watched the whole scene. Jeiden seemed... a bit dismissive... and didn't seem to be very patient. And Jace... Eden didn't know what to think about him. He seemed to take life a little too lightly. Either way, it was none of Eden's business.

Jeiden grinned at Jace, now relieved that the possibility of having a Sasuke clone in his group was eliminated. "I was a straight C student, but I managed to get out the academy with a forehead protector on my head..." He went back to his seat and kicked his feet up on the seat in front of his. "The Hokage is probably waiting for a higher ranked nin to show up, I doubt she'll send a rag-tag bunch of Genin on a mission..."

"Watch who you're calling rag-tag..." said Eden softly. She didn't like to brag, but she was not going to be insulted, even unintentionally. As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she smacked her head mentally. 'Stupid! What are you doing, getting caught up in their business? You shouldn't have said anything.'

"Me? I got caught up into a skirmish with a Sound Chuunin, but then some Jounin told me to get to safety.." He recalled how the fight went...not well. He probably would've died if it weren't for Konoha's highly trained Jounin.
Jeiden's ears were surprisingly sharp for a guy who talked so much, and he heard Eden's uttered words. "Oh? You're not rag-tag?" He still seemed quite at ease. "I wasn't trying to insult you..everybody is a bit rag-tag when they start off."
