Kilu looked around at the weaponry and picked up two small handheld blasters. But then he remembered the shield and reluctantly put one down to grab the small sphere from the droid. He stayed with Aleya and then noticed a small repeated-fire blaster, but she grabbed it before he could and stuck her tongue out at him briefly. It was the only one available, unfortunately.

Gavin walked over by Sevic and chuckled faintly at his comment. He looked around at the various larger weapons, but only out of curiousity, knowing he had the least chance of any of them at wielding something so heavy. Eventually, though, he found a small revolving rack on one of the lower shelves with some rather odd-looking devices. He fiddled with them curiously, then jumped slightly when he turned one on.

It was a small, black, tube-shaped object with no noticeable indentations or switches, yet it started to sizzle and hum with energy when he touched it. Slowly, hesitantly, he reached towards it again. It started up again, but he picked it up, and caused him no harm. He turned it this way and that, looking it over, then gave it an experimental flick. Immediately a flexible strand of what looked like some sort of metal whipped out of one end, covered in a white-hot plasma, snapped in the air like a whip, then shrunk back within the chamber at the same speed.

He stood, frozen in shock for a moment, then smiled faintly and stuck it in his waistband. "Now that's a unique weapon, if ever I saw one." He looked around a little more, then grabbed a hand-blaster and a shield sphere, then joined the others in the hall. "Well, I'm ready as I'll ever be."

Sevic laughed quietly at the others, slowly nodding as each chose their weapons. His might not be the most... Adaptable, but if all others failed, he could put a hole through just about anything. Then Gavin touched the weapon, he turned to look down at the object, head tilting slightly. It was picked up, then flicked... Sevic jumped slightly, it got to close for comfort.

"Careful there... I like being one whole person." He then looked down to the little bot droid, nodding once. "Well... Shall we be going? Or have you more ideas?"

He walked over to the door, stopped for a second, then peaked out, looking down the hall both ways.. Just making sure. Once he was sure it was safe, he looked back to the others... Waiting.

Still having watched the rest of the group as she waited, Eleri gawked at the sort of weapons Gavin found. That thing was just too sweet to pass up!

"Gimme' a moment," Eleri chimed, it now being her turn to look like a kid in a candy shop. she strode over to the rack Gavin had found the awesome whip-like devices.

After testing them out to make sure they were the same thing, the girl shoved two of them in her waistband as well. Just in case.

Satisfied now, Eleri returned to the entrance of the room to join the others, waiting for the bot to lead them away. As it had said, the alarms had been activated, so they should probably get going now.

The droid met them in the hallway once everyone was well-armed. It communicated again with the holographic projector as well as audio.... but this time the hologram also showed a map of the tower. It was currently zoomed in on the floor they were currently on, and a few floors above and below it. A small green dot showed their current location. It began to give directions, moving the dot to show their path to where they would go. It moved back toward the elevator while it spoke.

"We will now have to head all the way to the bottom of the tower. The tower's base leads into the central complex system of the entire city. Bion cities, as you probably know, are entirely interconnected and enclosed. Taking the elevator down to the bottom of the tower will be the easy part. After that, we must navigate the complex to the salvage yard. Below that, underground, is where the... rejected and failed experiments and partially-modded, berserk bions are sent. Beware that some still function and will attack anything. There you will look for the secret entrance to my hideout. I will give you further instruction there."

Gavin grimaced and wiped his brow lightly. "I don't like the sound of that..."

Kilu and Aleya both nodded. "I agree," Kilu said. "But if it's the only way out we better hurry."

"Why in the Bion graveyard though?" Aleya wondered aloud.

"Probably because it's the one place they won't look."

They reached the elevator, but before they could get on, four Bion guards appeared, two from each direction in the hallway. They all raised their arms, each with a weapon attached to their arm. "Sur-"

Kilu and Aleya didn't wait. They quickly opened fire, their weapons having been ready. Aleya downed the two on the right and Kilu took out one on the left. Unfortunately Gavin hesitated, giving the remaining guard time to fire at Kilu. Luckily, it missed, and Kilu fired back. But he also missed. Finally Gavin pulled himself together and fired his handblaster as the Bion with extraordinary accuracy. It hit the guard right in the center of its face, causing it to immediately deactivate.

The other guard on the left had been knocked back, but had already recovered and fired on the group. It narrowly missed Gavin's shoulder. The other two guards on the right were no match for Aleya's spray from her rapid-firing blaster, and were soon on the floor, their chests and heads covered in burned holes. A green liquid, as well as a tiny bit of blood, leaked from them.

The droidling opened its weapon system and prepared to fire, but something suddenly whipped over the edge of the elevator and snatched it up and away. Moments later, several human-sized drones hovered over the elevator, with three sharp claws each.

"Onto the elevator!" Aleya shouted as she blasted the closest drone off the elevator, then jumped on, fending off the other two. Kilu hurried after her, and Gavin started to move back towards it, but a blast from the remaining guard hit him swuare in the back. He fell forwards, injured, but not dead.

Sevic moved out into the hallway, following closely behind the others. When the droid stopped to show and tell them directions, he frowned, sighed.

"All fine and dandy for those of you that can see the map... Screw the half-mod though." He began to move forward, closer to the droid, looking towards the elevator. Thats when all hell broke loose.

Guards appeared, firing from ally and foe. He was in the middle of the group, it would be to dangerous to fire his weapon here, he'd risk friendly fire. Once the four were down, he turned attention back to the elevator, there were more!

Quickly he moved onto the platform, dropping the gun, though careful not to damage it. The pack of ammo was dropped down next to it. Left arm raised and the blade ejected, lining the outside of his arm. He launched at one of the closing droids, arm raising.

Slash!

The blade slid cleanly over the things 'neck' with such force that it severed the head. Droid body dropping, head following shortly, leaving a pool of the green substance on the platform. He landed in a crouch, grinning, panting slightly.

Once that one was done, he turned, hoping someone had taken out the other advancing droid.

Eleri cringed; she really didn't want to go back onto the elevator once more. Not after her first experience with it. And 'bion graveyard' didn't sound like the best place to find rainbows, kittens, and lush green meadows. Oh well. You take what you can get, right?

Overhearing Sevic's words, Eleri frowned. She didn't quite get it, though. Could he not see? Well, if that were so, how did he get this far? It made no sense at the moment and wouldn't get a change to, for the guards had come and the attack had started.

Lovely.

Through the maelstrom of Kilu and Aleya's shots, there was not much point to opening her own fire on the bions just yet. Eleri watched for the moment, preparing to use the shield orb at any opportunity where it was required.

The moment Eleri noticed that Gavin had fallen, she exclaimed a few -very audible- choice words that were far from lady-like. She doubled back, kneeling beside his injured body as she finally raised her hand-blaster. The thing advanced; Eleri hardly glanced at the thing as she took two shots, both barely making their mark on its head.

Scowling, Eleri stood up. She wouldn't be able to carry Gavin, and it wouldn't be wise to drag him onto the elevator. She jogged onto the platform, dropping her shield-orb on the ground and holding it under her foot like a child would with a soccer ball as she snatched the whip-like weapon from her waistband, unleashing it on the devices allowing it to hover in the air. It took a few tries, but Eleri managed to take the main ones out, it dropping from the air and down through the shaft below.

"Yo, Mod!" she then barked at Sevic, unable to remember if she had ever learned anyone's name or not. "Go grab the old guy!" And as much as she didn't quite want to, Eleri promised, "I'll watch your back!"

Whether Sevic would or would not do as she commanded, Eleri dashed to the edge of the platform, desperately scanning the hollow air where their little droid 'friend' had been pulled to.

Stupid technology.

The droids proved a bit tougher than the Bion guards, taking many hits before even showing the slightest damage. But when they were damaged, the quickly retreated, only to be replaced by more, undamaged droids soon afterward.

There was no sign of the friendly droidling. The thing must have been tossed down the shaft to its doom. But down in the shaft, beyond a steady flow of the hovering droids, a dark shadow was rising, filling the entire shaftway.

Gavin gasped and writhed suddenly, cringing and showing strange expressions on his face. There was oddly very little blood comming from him. In fact, the wound was now only a bruise, should anyone happen to look closely enough. But he quickly grasped his hand over the hole in his shirt to hide it, pretending to try to stop a non-existant bloodflow from the closed wound. He tore a length of his shirt sleeve off and tied it tightly around himself as if the bandage it, though it was really just to keep it hidden.

He got up after a few faked false starts, grabbed the whip on his side, and lashed it out angrily at another droid as it floated over the edge of the elevator, just as it was about to grab Eleri. He managed to catch its arm, which turned out to be weak compared to the rest of the droid, and came off almost instantly after the whip wrapped around it, melted where the whip hit.

So far, there were no more guards comming from the halls, but more and more droids were comming through the shaft, as well as whatever the enormous shadow that was approaching from below.

Kilu leaned over the edge and fired at a few advancing droids, while Aleya let her weapon recharge. "What the hell is that thing?!" Kilu wondered aloud, firing frantically below the elevator.

"I don't know, but we can't go down while its comming up! It's taking up the whole damned shaft!" Gavin shouted, suddenly at his side.

Aleya stared at him briefly, then looked down and stifled a yell when she saw what they were talking about. Suddenly a hail of blaster fire came from above, narrowly missing everyone. More hovering droids and a few guards, via secondary elevators, were quickly approaching from above as well as below.

It should be noted there is a significant difference between droids and Bions. Bions were once human or fur, but had been turned into cyborgs. Droids, on the other hand, were made strictly from inorganic materials- very advanced robots, in other words. They were generally more efficient, moved faster, and were more... intelligent, in their own way. But Bions were more easily repaired, and of course the materials for their construction were generally more... abundant. But most importantly... they regenerated, given time.

Suddenly one of the 'dead' guards stood up again and resumed firing, its damaged parts rapidly repairing of their own accord. Luckily Aleya remembered her shield this time. She stepped in front of the group and activated her shield. Automatically, the others' shields activated as well. The guard attempted to step through, but instantly disintegrated when it tried.

"...he wasn't kidding about these shields..." she said, shocked. The shield stopped all fire from comming near them, but it wouldn't last forever. "What do we do?? We can't go down or up! We're stuck!"

Sevic had now run back to his ammo pack, withdrawing the small blaster. He had been firing amazingly aimed shots at the droids, hitting what appeared to be vital areas. He pulled the trigger again, nothing happened... He tried again, still nothing, the droid was close. At the last second he threw the blaster away, modded arm slamming out.

His fist collided with the thing, a sickening crunch sound. They were strong, but he had managed to send it back a bit. Then he launched himself forward, once again dragging the blade over a thin part of its frame, slicing it in two.

For a while he stood there, watching the 'carnage' unfold around him, the senceless and endless droids. The fire fighting, shileds activating. "We can't stay here." His voice was quiet, more talking to himself than the others.

"What we do is get the HELL off this elevator and find another way down!" He took a few short steps to his stuff, throwing the ammo pack over his shoulder. Mechanical arm gripped the large gun, resting it on his shoulder. "We move! And fast! And I hope someone remembered some of what that droid showed you, because I couldn't see the damn thing. MOVE!"

He was itching to fire the gun, and odds are he would get his chance sooner, rather than later. In the meantime he moved to the entrance of the elevator, he would wait here until everyone was off.

Paying practically no heed to anyone else, Eleri had all her attention fixated on attempting to fathom whatever that black shadow was. A look of complete confusion crossed her features for that time, until the droid caugh her attention mere seconds before Gavin stole its arm. Eleri let out a rather shrill yelp, raising her blaster without a thought to aim and--well, blasted it. When she was finished, its chest area was riddled with entry points. The random fire made her first kill look like a lucky shot, which it probably was.

"Um.. thanks," Eleri managed to breathe to the old man, shaking from the realization of the seriousness of the situation now. Sadly, she didn't manage to notice anything strange about Gavin's recovery; not yet, anyway. But at least she managed to come back to earth enough to continue defending their quaint little platform.

Too bad they had to abandon it.

"Aww, I was beginning to like this spot," Eleri mused with a smirk. Okay, maybe the complete seriousness hadn't hit her yet. No matter; she would be the second-last one to try to leave the elevator, 'practicing her aim' on the Bions and droids for a few short moments.

As everyone turned to exit the elevator area, Gavin was hit in the back of the leg by another blast. He stumbled over in pain, rubbing his leg softly. But he got up again soon afterward, and hurried forward with Kilu's help. Aleya fired behind the group to hold off any droids that followed them.

As soon as everyone was through the doorway, the elevator suddenly was pushed upwards and out of the way as an enormous metallic surface, slightly domed, began to slowly rise under it. A loud, thunderous noise began to come from underneath it, the sound of thousands of tiny probing robotic arms inspecting the walls under the megadroid now approaching their floor.

At the top of the monstrous droid, several holes opened up and several optical devices, some equipped with spotlights of various sizes, popped out of them and began searching the walls. A very loud, monotonous voice thundered out from below.

If the furries hadn't of been helping Gavin, he would have. So instead he kept watch, being the last to actually step off the elevator. He did so just in time, as the domed surface was now pushing it's way up. He took a few steps into the hall, turned, and watched it. The sound was worse than nails on a chalkboard to him, but he didn't show such.

Turning his head to look at the others, a mischeivious grin on his lips. "Time for big boom." He mumbled, turning to look back at the giant machine. With a huff, twist of his arm, the railgun was aimed at the thing. His other arm came down to rest against the 'trigger.'

Maybe it would destroy it, maybe it would buy them some time. On the otherhand, it could just blow the facility up, he didn't care. He pulled the trigger, a low hum picked up as the thing charge.

The voice came through the things speaker.

The gun was almost charged, an energy pulsing through it.

A droid flew through what was left of the opening, headed straight for him. He was so close that it had gotten to him, something sharp slicing his shoulder open. He didn't move, he was going to take this thing down.

It was done.

A thin rod fired from the gun, leaving a trail, as if it were a laser beam. It was a good shot, headed straight for the giant monstrosity. There was no way it could be avoided, the shot would tear through any droid that got in the way.

As he watched, waiting for the impact, he had become completely oblivious to the droid that was now coming back for a second strike against him.

((OOC((By the way. To fire the gun, he had stepped away from the group and deactivated his shield.... Thats why he could fire the gun, and why the droid could get to him.))OOC))

"Screw you!"

Eleri couldn't help it. There was no way she was going to let a giant metal a** tell her what to do. Resistance was inevitable.

As the half-mod shot at the metallic beast, it occurred to the girl that a the expected 'big boom' might just be that. B-I-G type of big. Best to be safe, so...

Nudging the closest person to her --which happened to be the female Furry, Aleya-- she exclaimed rather simply, "Run! Now!" Eleri would have dashed away herself if she didn't catch sight of the droid racing towards Sevic when checking to see if he'd follow them or watch whatever chaos would unfold.

Without thought she dropped her shield to free her hand for grasping her whip. Eleri lashed out at the metal enemy, catching its outstretched arm and ripping it right out of its artificial socket in one spark-inducing sweep. And since that wouldn't finish it off, she raised her handblaster and fired at its head, her shots meeting the target.

"Better watch yourself better, Mod."

The shot from Sevic's railrifle did indeed pack quite a punch. The laser-like rod slammed straight through several approaching droids like a hot knife through butter, and even went into the megadroid, though it didn't make it all the way through the thing's other side. It did do enough sufficient damage to halt it in its rising motion for the moment.

The megadroid creaked and groaned as various malfunctions began to add up. Parts of the metal glowed from the inside as it started to overheat- big time. The safety mechanisms shut it down just in time, though, and it went silent and still. More droids were still on their way down from upper floors, though, and the megadroid would be repaired before too long.

As soon as everyone was through the doorway again, it shut. Kilu looked down both directions of the hallway. Luckily there didn't appear to be any more guards approaching. That meant either there were only those four posted on this level, or the others were either deactivated or waiting to ambush the escapees.

"Let's try to find another way down. And hey, maybe we can free some other prisoners while we're at it, and they can help us," Kilu suggested.

Aleya nodded in agreement while checking her gun as it recharged. "Yeah! Maybe we could even start a revolution!" Gavin wasn't so sure, though.

"Safety in numbers, yes, and we -could- start a revolution, but I don't know if that's such a safe idea. The more escaped prisoners there are, the more chance they'll send bigger, meaner thigns to track us all down. They might even call in reinforcements from other complexes. Yes, let's rescue other prisoners, but we should tell them to keep low until they escape. If we want to make an army, we should do it from the -outside-."

*****

Meanwhile, something else was loose fromt he clutches of the Bion Empire. Something.... or someone... they'd never been able to fully capture in the first place. It was drawn to the commotion around the escapees' tower, and watched the repair droids at the base of the magadroid with interest, through a glowing blue eye-visor.

Sevic grinned at the reaction the blast had. It wasn't great, but it was good. After a short moment, he heaved the gun back up onto his shoulder, turning to the others. "Now that, my good friends, is a gun." He laughed.

When Kilu, then Aleya spoke, he simply nodded in agreement. He didn't agree with the whole 'revolution' thing, that would be suicide. He began to walk his way down the hallway, hoping someone else would take the lead before he got to far.

In the meanwhile, his shoulder, the 'still human' one, was bleeding. The cut wasn't to deep, but it was a harsh one. He didn't seem to care, even ignored it... Being halfway to insane had it's perks, like thinking you were invincible.

"Damn... I wish I had some C4, or even better. Lay charges as we go. Destroy the facility completely." Had he liked that idea anymore, he probably would have drooled.

Eleri scowled ever-so-slightly at Sevic as he took the lead. Not even a glance from the half-mod for her actions? Well then, someone remind her not to help him anymore. And he wanted her to put up with him? Pift! No chance!

"Who says that there won't be even less sane half-mods locked up in those rooms, hm?" Eleri brought forth bitterly, crossing her arms as she began to take the lead from Sevic.

It had already been proven that this girl wasn't exactly the social type, so no further diving would be needed to find that she didn't really approve of --or believe in-- a revolution.

Glancing at the gash on the half-mod's shoulder, Eleri smirked wickedly. Her eyes seemed to boast that she believed he deserved it, for whatever twisted reason.

Just loud enough for him to hear, the red-head taunted, "I'm suprised you still bleed like a human."
