it was something very random.. well i went to HongKong with my friends who's have the same taste as me (but she got 3 times more manga than me.. xd ). We both saw some random person reading a manga (obviously it's death note, but i couldn't see the title at that time). At that time we talked about how the art style was familiar since we both read Hikaru no Go b4 and all that sweatdrop . Then a few weeks later when I returned from my trip, I randomly found about it on the net, I was like "hey, isn't it the same cover as the one i saw in HK" (yes, i'm good at remembering stupid stuff). Read the preveiw, decided to start to read it..since i love any manga related to shinikami or anything gothic i guess. It was fate..ahahahha.. sweatdrop I started reading when there were around 5 chpt scanslated or so..

How did I get into Death Note... well I found the one-shot story Death Note on some site I can't remember anymore and it was interesting. A year later or something like that I found the title Death Note again, but it was different, so I decided that it looked interesting and that I'd read it, cause at that time, I had tons of free time. I only found out about it's relation to Hikaru No Go afterwards... I read Death Note before Hikaru No Go razz And I'm reading another manga by that auther called Yuuto, but the scanlating group dropped it. >.>

I am here ^.^ how did I get into death note??? Well I was looking through the internet for a good manga to read, and I got to this one site where you had to be a member to read any of it. But I didnt care I was looking through and I didnt realy like the books. I was about to leave but there it was DEATH NOTE!!!! A manga on the site that I didnt have to be a member to read!!! It looked soooo cool (they had the picture of the fist cover with light and the sheith and the shikigami Ryku) so I couldn't help it. I read all the books they had in less then a week. I think it was the whole series. I don't remeber I am buying the books now though.

lol, well, I got into it by seeing a preview of it in the Shoinin Jump mag, and from there, found a site with the complete manga translated! xd 3nodding and..I read all of it, ovioisly.lol 3nodding The site is http://www.degree-anime.com/gallery/index.php

I just saw in the book store and was like, "Hmmm... well, this looks pretty boring."
But, my opinion quickly changed after reading the first volume. >_>

I work in a comic shop so im always on the lookout for interesting manga. The art drew me in straight away and i was interested in the story: one one side its like a crime/detective drama on the other hand its supernatural. I doesnt seem like it should work, but it does! Not to mention i was reading volume 1 when i was to Japan and saw vol.8 on sale and i was like "Woah, whos them two scary boys??" Mello and Near. Obviously.

A friend mentioned it in passing to me, so I started reading it and was instantly hooked. biggrin
(This was about 2 years ago, I think...)
But she herself never got into it, so when I was all like "omg wow, you were right, this manga is awesome!" surprised
she was kinda "huh? oh yeah, that" -ish... T____T

Well it first started when i saw the manga "death note" i thought it looked pretty good and wanted to read it, i picked it up and then my money slipped out of my hands and told me to go buy angel sanctuary >_>
any who, after i had done that a year or so had gone by, and i went to japan.
there was a huge billboard for their movie "death note" i saw it and practically deathnotegasm'ed lol XD
so i became intrigued in it. I didn't have any money though.....
so i couldn't see the movie , and if i did.. i wouldn't be able to understand it
BUT now on animenuke.com they have it so you can dl it on your comp and its the first episode (anime) of death note. I saw it just a while ago and fell inlove with it smile heart
