nice im going on my second year in military services. I am currently in a Youth Leadership program and got nominated by congress to go to Leaders summit group of Washington D.C. cant say much more, but you can look up leaders summit

wolf fate nice im going on my second year in military services. NYLC? CYLC? National Youth Forum on Defense Intelligence and Diplomacy? Yeah been there done all that ^.^ Haha! All y'all think ya got ribbons? I got the Cadet Humanitarian Award! Got myself looked at by the folks up at HQ! ninja Just jokin, besides that I think I had 17 other ribbons, so not a ton when compared to some of my friends.

I know this kid, Bregg...he has 22 ribbons plus clusters and hes only going to be a 3rd year.
He has absolutely no life besides JROTC, I promise.

BDUs were a no brainer for me, thankfully.

I just finished Army JROTC in highschool. When I graduated I was a c/SSG and the assistant S-4 (I would have been the S-4 but certain..... complication wouldn't allow that). I was Supply Manager of the Drill Team, Color Guard, and I wanted to join the Air Rifle Team but due to my job I was unable to. Unfortunatly I was only a LET-2. I didnt start Army JROTC till the 11th grade but if I had known what a great time I would have had in that class I would have started my freshmen year >.< I learned alot in my JROTC class and I (and some fellow cadets) were even able to help the SAI teach the middle schoolers Drill Commands. It was worth it.

Its now official!! I am going to be a c/Lt. Col and a Flight Commander, Logistics Group Commander, Drill Team Commander, and Rocket Team Commander next year! Heck yeah! Im going to be the highest 3rd year cadet..>>. *Feels spoiled*

oh comon what fun is it if they tell you what is going to happn your suppose to be surprised and called up in the middle of formation and the 1sg. is supose to act as if he is stripping you of your current rank and demoting you- then he promotes you- atleast thats what happened when i became c/srg.

your kind of situations never happen in my corps no 1st year get past c/tech sgt. ((on a mirical)) no 2nd year gets past c/2nd lt ((on a bigger mirical)) no 3rd year gets past c/captain ((near imposible)) and the only way you get past captain is to become group commander of by an act of god have captain promote you
noone has more then 1 staff position ((so you can't be CV drill and rocket commander))
i've seen ALOT of other corps adn they give out promotions and positions like candy

Ive actually earned all of my positions, ive worked my a** off for them for 2 complete school years. Im really surprised I got c/Lt. Col. I was only expecting c/Maj.

ya some corps are deffinetly like that, only reason why i got c/srg. my first year is cause I won the academic decatholon 1st place and was and all around cadet- did basically everything i could as a first year.

I know..but I get that crap alot. The only reason why im in the positions I am in is because I am exceptionally good at Rockets/Drill and because I got a National and proved my dedication to the unit these past 2 years. Then too..I have always been dedicated and working continuously. I was the highest ranking 1st year. I was c/MSGT...that was awesome.
