Dervos Hi I am a Airforce Cadet. I've been a cadet for about 3 months now I think. Had PFT this past thursday. It was really cold >< and we had a lot of wind. Got a 88 on it though so I'm happy. 3nodding I think I can improve though. Eww Airforce... haha just kidding man, a cadet's a cadet. I'm PO3 Drew (don't really wanna put my last name out there) haha, I remember the sucky days as a recruit, with all those BMR's. If you need any pointers, feel free to PM me, I'm navy (sea cadets) not sure what I can do, but i'll try. ANYWAYS... Dark Star! Did you hear, they might put in a Marine Corps Detachment in Region 8 or 9... MARYLAND!!!!

Damn..eww. Marines.
Thats what Young Marines are for. I'm sorry, but Sea Cadets is Navy...and needs to stay that way. Or elseyou'll start having fights at TWTs/Basic over who is the best. I am sorry, but keep us seperated. I am all for different cadet programs and growth/change but theres too much logistical problems.

Nothing's wrong with them everyone just like their respective branch and tends to tease all of the others. They love each other like that.

Heck yeah...although I am tired of the Chair Force/bus driver jokes. ANYWAYS.
Okay..so my thing is the fact that there is a Young Marines already..and although the Marines are under the Dept. of the Navy, there are just too many problems with uniforms, trainings, and such. There would be fights about who is best since most cadets have the maturity of a 8 year old at best. (NEVER give CPO or a batallion command to a 15 year old. Ego trip.) It would be best for all to keep us seperated still..just my opinion.

As for Sea Cadets v Young Marines, we don't have a YM unit around, just sea cadets, so why pass up an opertunity? We don't ahve JROTC, the young socialist club at our school got the application denied

Just let me remind you of something Petty Officer.
Karma's a b***h.
And no matter what-someone is going to outrank you. Like me! xd But in all seriousness-be careful what you do to your cadets. It will come up and bite you in the a**..they have memories (very good ones) and you need to lead by example. If you show that its okay to act like a total a** to recruits then they will act like that when they get to be Petty Officer's or when they go back to their home units. So watch yourself-don't make it easy but don't be a total d**k either.
