I always forget that it's (unofficially) called "The Enemy Within" - I always just think of it as the TV movie.

Congrats on getting one for each Doctor. Though I'm not sure about the Cybermen coming out of the tombs. They moved so... so... slowly... And then they kept repeating that scene... And reversing it....

Personally I would go for the psycho Cybermen in the sewers in The Invasion. Or of course the main invasion itself.

I'm not sure where "The Enemy Within" comes from, I just saw it somewhere. Before that I used to call it "that boring lame-^&$ American Doctor Who movie". Err... no offence intended to anyone who actually liked the movie!

Reversing the awakening scene in Tomb to show them going back to sleep was pretty... lame. Ah, well, I've only seen Tomb and The Mind Robber, and that was the first thing that popped into mind. I'm not sure how I'd feel about the Cybermen in Invasion... something about their design looks a little too happy. And they've got those teardrop eyes. Like they're crying or something. A walking army of Cyber-crybabies...

You mean you haven't seen The War Games? eek The BEST Troughton episode and his final hours before his death/turning into no. 3? None of that one's episodes are missing. And they are all... um... available to those who search in places. Possibly interweb places.

Anyway, luckily The Invasion is coming out soon in reanimated glory! (that makes it sound like a zombie...) And it is a great episode too. The only problem with the version not missing episodes is you don't get the Brigadier explaining the plot to you for 1 and 4 (in my case with a glitch in the volume making it far too loud...)

Oh, yeah, I did see War Games. I used to own in on VHS, back before I sold off all my videotapes to make room for DVDs. It was very good in various parts, but the whole thing was just waaaay too long. The War Lord and War Chief rocked. And Gallifrey!

... SIDRATs? xd

Way too long? WAY TOO LONG? That's 10 episodes of DW goodness!

Maybe I'm biased because I watched it when I was suffering from a fever and stuck in this tiny little hotel room so it was a comfort and a blessing to have something to while away the hours. But I really love that episode.

I read a book set between it and the Third Doctor's era - written by one of the guys who did The War Games - and it was rubbish! It made me so angry... burning_eyes Arrgh no words for how angry it made me... I don't know why I'm mentioning that though.

The rest of the TARDIS' must really not like their owners if they let 'em all fry.

I would like to add in:

* The day Susan was left behind.

Twas the beginning of the end for the Time Travelling family...

Except that most Time Lords do not leave Gallifrey, and so would not have been on board a TARDIS. I doubt if every single Time Lord has a TARDIS, and I've suspected that they were originally built to house an entire crew. But they seldom travel any more, preferring to just catalog the emense data they have, and only occasionally allowing someone to go off on a mission.

In stories like "Invasion of Time" and "Deadly Assassin", it was explained that unauthorized time travel was not only illegal, but a capital offense. The Doctor, of course, was actually a special agent, operating under the cover of having "stolen" a TARDIS, but the whole business has always been somewhat clouded in confusion, and was always somewhat ambiguous.

I suspect that there ARE other Time Lords still out there, just as the Emperor Dalek showed up and made more Daleks. Somewhere out there, in time and space, there is someone else...

A lot of the old novelizations weren't that great.

Does it even count as a scene? It's the most unimpressive of the regenerations. Unsurprisingly.

I totally support Colin Baker for standing up for himself but I kinda feel sorry for McCoy cos it doesn't make his incarnation look very welcome...

I suppose it's all long in the past now.

It wasn't McCoy's fault, and Baker got the short end of the stick. This can be laid square at the feet of John Nathan-Turner, who never really understood the show anyway, and tried to reshape it into his own image. It didn't work.

I always thought them that way too, it was just the fact that they had never been seen doing it before in the show's, at that point, 25 year history.

Well, there were so many jokes about Daleks and staircases. I suppose it seemed a great way to make everyone stop laughing, and it worked. It was a very cool moment. I like how in the newer episodes we actually see what is underneath a Dalek.

* When the ninth Doctor meets the Daleks for the first time
* When Rose and the ninth doctor kiss (My heart jumped... very sweet... whee )
* When the doctor meets up with Sarah Jane again
*When Rose's mum slaps the dctor (Ok, it wasn't dramatic, but it was hilarious!) rofl

I liked it much better whan the Doctor kissed Rose than when he kissed Grace. Grace acted like she was too good for the Doctor, but he got over it quick enough. I've chalked it up to his emotional instability during post-regeneration. And anyway, I didn't like Grace. For years fans had wanted to see the Doctor kiss a companion, and when it finally happened, no one liked it. Be careful what you wish for...

Rose, on the other hand, was kissed in order to save her life and in the process put himself in peril. That was more like the Doctor I know. He has a great love for human beings, even if he basically sees them as monkeys. It is like loving your dog on one level, but also so typical of the Doctor's willingness to do whatever it takes to save his companions, for whom he feels great personal responsibility and affection. One of the things I liked about Doctor #9 is that more than the others, he had a human touch and expressed his inner thoughts and feelings more directly than he's ever done in the past. He has become one of my favorite Doctors, and I shall really miss him.

I have not yet seen more than the post-regenration glimpse of Doctor #10 as well as a few short clips from a seasonal trailer. He reminds me of Jim Carey more than anything else.

The BBC had abandoned it...

Well not quite. But all the money came from the Americans. So they controlled it. Fair enough I suppose...

Except that the Master should never ever ever be American... No offense to Americans, he just shouldn't.
