Calunio Saudade - There's not translation. It's the name of a feeling, it's what you feel when you miss something or someone. "Nostalgia" is the closest English equivalent that I can think of.

There's the word "nostalgia" in Portuguese, but the meaning is a bit different, since you don't actually miss something when you feel Nostalgia... Nostaliga is more about bringing back old memories, am I right?

O tio velho Hey there! Welcome to the course. pirate Well, you got it all correct. There are just some spelling mistakes, which I marked red. There are already some lessons that you can do, but you can do them in a pace that bests suits you. No need to rush, but you don't have to wait for my feedback to do the following lesson (which is not a big problem, since I come to Gaia almost every day). I'd just recommend no rush. Very good, do you know some Spanish as well?

Katleene-chan is it too late to start participating in this forum? i want to learn more portuguese. Of course it's not too late. But do you speak some Portuguese already? If so, the first lessons may be too easy for you. In that case (only if you find them really easy), you can skip some.

I only know a few words... and a few phrases.. but that is it. my boyfriend speaks it.. and so I am trying to learn portuguese. He has taught me a little bit, but that is it.
