Her answer slightly amused him and her defensiveness raised a few flags. He allowed her to kiss him, placing his hands on her hips. He pulled his lips away after a few moments and reached up to caress her face.
"You are being possesive Jess. It's not a game," he grinned lightly.

For moment her gaze darkened and she climbed off of him.
"Talk about double standards." She muttered getting to her feet. "Life is a game, one huge frustrating one." She smirked walking further down the bank, closer to the glistening river.
Taking a deep breath she folded her arms and tried to get whatever was bothering her out of her system.

Kayne's grin faded at the dark look she gave him and he frowned when she pulled away from him. What the hell was her problem he wondered as he got to his feet as well. He watched her for a moment, then walked up behind her and slipped his arms around her, leaning his chin down on her shoulder.
"Ah. I see. Life is just a game for you, like everything else, and you're a sore loser. Aren't you?" he smirked.

As his arms slid round her Jess smiled to the darkness and turned to face him. Her hands moved up into his hair as she grazed his cheek snd lips with hers.
"To sum my answer to that up in one word. Yes." She said softly pressing herself against him. "Though I rarely lose." She breathed moving her fingers lightly down the back of his neck. "How about you Kayne? Do you like to get what you want?"

Kayne closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. The sweet scent of the wisteria, the fresh smell of the river, and the warmth from Jess. Smiling his eyes opened as she pressed herself against him. Her words and fingers sent a shiver down his back and he slipped his arms tightly around her.
"Of course I do," he whispered against her lips. "I rarely lose as well."

"Then it looks like we're an even match then." She smirked teasing him with a light, brief kiss. Moving her lips to the corner of his mouth she allowed them to brush lightly along his cheek to his neck.
"Do you think you'll be able to escape one time?" Twisting his hair around her fingers and then letting it go. "We could go somewhere, for the night or weekend or something?" She pulled back and searched his eyes. "Somewhere we can be alone without Aquila looming over us."

"Aye," he breathed in agreement, his eyes closing as he concentrated on the feel of her lips against his skin. Her question drew a smile from him and immediately his mind starting working on a way to allow him escape from Aquila. Her offer was too enticing to pass up.
"I think we can arrange something. As long as any of your exes don't decide to gang up on me. I like my ribs whole thank you," he smiled, leaning down to nibble on her lips.
"As for a route of escape, it will have to take some planning. I've just gotten Cirrus calmed down. I'd rather not get her riled up again," he said, pulling away and reaching up to caress her face.

"If my exes decided to gang up on you, I think your ribs would be the least of your worried." She said with a low laugh. "Don't worry." She teased. "I'll protect you."
She moved her one hand back into his hair. "I'm sure you'll think of something." Unable to take the teasing tension any longer she moved closer to steal a proper firey kiss. The other hand pressed on his back, her nails digging into him slightly as she pushed them together.

Kayne laughed, sliding his hand up her back and under her shirt as her hand worked its way back up to his hair. He only had time for a smirk before she began to kiss him and he immediately began returning her the favor. When he was certain he was on the edge of losing complete control, he pulled his lips away and rested his forehead on hers.
"Oh yes. I'll definitely be able to think of something," he breathed heavily. He cradled her against him and looked up to finally become aware of their surroundings. Kissing the top of her head gently, it took all of his strength to not lean back into another kiss. They had to be careful. Despite the late hour, they were still very near campus. A weekend away was definitely beginning to sound better and better.

Jess frowned a little, wondering why he had pulled away and then realising where they were. She swallowed and stepped back from him glancing around a little.
"Sorry." She said with a sheepish smile. "Just can't help myself." With a raised eyebrow she stepped back out of his arms and stretched to the sky. "Suppose we had better get back." She said, yawning.

Kayne reached out and lightly traced her lips with his thumb before withdrawing completely and slipping his hands into his pockets. Her words comforted him. He was more than happy that he had that affect on her.
"Aye, we should," he said glancing up at the sky. "So... leisurely stroll back or race me?" he asked with a playful grin.

Jess grinned and contemplated a race back and a slow stroll. She decided for safe middle ground.
"A jog?" She suggested stretching her legs out a bit and smiling warmly.

"A jog it is then," Kayne said, sweeping her back into his arms and kissing her long and slow. When he pulled away, he kissed the tip of her nose and started to jog backwards from her in the direction of the school. "Are you coming slow poke?" he asked, holding his hand out to her.

Jess melted into his kiss and was left staring after him as he Jogged off. At his affectionate insult she started after him.
"Oi." She laughed slapping him on the shoulder. "That was low."
She took his hand and squeezed it briefly before letting it go. The gates of Aquila were in sight and it wasn't worth the risk.
"When you think of a way to escape. Let me know." She said smiling as they entered the campus. It was an innocent enough phrase, should someone overhear.

Kayne laughed when she hit him and turned around to fall into step with her when she released his hand.
"Aye, I will," he nodded. "Thank you for the practice Sensei. Next time I'll be the one to put you on your back," he grinned and turned to head off towards the dorms, his mind already working out a way to leave for a weekend.~~~ Fade to Black ~~~
