kasdon yeah cloud uses the buster sword after zack gets killed and the tries to attack sephrioth and then gets beat up.....but then he kicks his a** by throwing him off the bridge thing in the reactor whle holding the mesamune He didnt get it then, it was later. Zack lived through the Nibelham incident. He was killed after escaping from experimentation in the Shinra Mansion along with Cloud and was shot and killed just before reaching Midgar. Cloud then got the sword.

Jinjitzsu The AC sword is the same as the one in FFVII, and somewhere along the line he learned why it was so dam heavy.........more than one sword combined. He acted without thinking when he was with Blake and took Zack's sword to defend himself, if I find it again, there's a game made to show exactly what happened. ...Your stupid makes my head hurt....

Is the story about Zack and Cloud in the first released discs? For some reason I don't remember that in mine. I have the "Greatist Hits" discs. I kinda remember watching it when my brother was playing, but I just don't recall it when I've played. Can some one please help me? I feel like there's an empty place in my heart, now. I've played FFVII from when it first came out. I love this game sooooooo much! Maybe I just can't remember things like I used to. crying

gocrywolf01 he took Zacks sword after sephiroth killed him. Sephiroth never killed Zack, go back to the game's 3 disk and go down to the mansion to see the cutseen.

Everybody now knows Cloud got his sword from Zack, but where did Zack get it in the first place? I know!!! He got it off ebay! It's like SOOO obvious! I know I'm strange!

DAMN. lol yea it actually weight next to nothing........ titanium and aluminum alloys dont weight jack. ever pick up a pop can...... now temper it and sharpen it........... just stay out of its way. not only that but u gatta remember mytril. it is the litest metel in ff world it could be made of that

Cloud's sword from AC is called the New Tsurugi. (New sword) I has 2 forms. One that looks like ultima weapon,then when cloud needs to add one of the 7 parts(they have names, I just can't remember) the blade opens up and it look similar to the apocalypse. they know that cloud is 5'8" so they did a comparison and in real life the New Tsurugi in its completed form would be 18.5 feet long 3 feet verticaly wide and 10 inches horizontally thick it would weigh about 280 lbs.

He got the sword in the game after Sephiroth killed Zack. In AC im not sure.

Does noone here read back just a few posts before posting their own idiocricy? Zack was not killed by Sephiroth. He was blown back out the door and into one of those Mako Test Modules. Not killed, just badly injured.
After that, both Zack and Cloud were carried away for experimentation in the basement of the Shinra Mansion. Both of them escaped thanks to Zack breaking them out, and then proceeded towards Midgar. A couple miles out, they were caught and Zack was shot a good 40-50 times in the cutscene at least and Cloud was left for dead since he was still in a Mako induced coma. After Cloud came to at least a little bit, he realised Zack was dead. Cloud then took the Buster Sword and made his way into Midgar and ended up at the trainstation of the Sector 7 slums, where Tifa found him and brought him back to her bar, then convinced him to join Avalanche. Then the game begins.
There done! And we dont know where Zack got the Buster Sword, but we may find out in Crisis Core since he is the main character of that game.

Mabye the Buster Sword he had in Advent Children was the same one as in the game, but it was just customized.
I really don't know.
