A good villan I had going was a Paladin(yes a Paladin) who was on a huge holy mission (he was a paladin kit called the Votary, they are pretty much crusaders, aganist all reiligions!) He never did anything truly wrong (he had paladinhood when he was battled)The party was four people. A Lawful Neutral Wizard, a chaotic good cleric, a Neutral good bard, and true neutral druid. It was an intresting game, especially on a theological level.

So how exactly does this Paladin qualify as a villan?

BloodOnWhitePetals So how exactly does this Paladin qualify as a villan? A paladin could be considered a villian if his intolerence is on par with his works of good. A lawful good villian is entirely possible. A lawful good villian could be completely intollerent of others beliefs, like during the crusades, spanish inquisition, or even the salem withc hunts. A neutral good villian couls be the good samatarian gone bad, like they could be seeking the hand of vecna, unkowing of the hands evil ways, also look at the Salem witch hunts, they were done for a "noble" purpose, but were all wrong deaths. A chaotic good villian in essence is a freedom fighter, and there for could have been duped by someone else to fight against a good king.

I know it sounds odd and improbable, but any alignment can be used as a villian.

No, I get it now. Chaotic Good villian types would be Robin Hood, Shrek, Batman.. Lawful Good villians would be the Inquisition or French Civil War leaders, Neutral Good villians would be the Pope xp

Yes, it is possible for a LG villian.
Such, as someone who in there own eyes is doing a good deed, which in the eyes of others is evil, so they would not really be defying there alignment because they did not do anything that does not follow their alignment, because they don't think it does.
Think of someone in an insanisilum(sp?)
