Well I hope they at least put a conclusion to the series once all the TR have been revealed, and all of the past TR bearers would come back along with other various fan favourites (within reasonable limits, so no rezzing of Ted, no matter how much we love him). Heck, they should break the 108 character tradition for the final game and make it over 108 characters and bring back LOADS of returning characters. And the TR of the last game would be something like the Time Rune or something, and have like a huge floating castle, and maybe even let us revisit ALL of the world of Suikoden. The final game will be like every Suikoden fan's dream! And hopefully, Murayama will be nice enough to return to write us fans a nice grand finale to the series!

But once the main series is over, they should make spin off titles, like more tactic games that go into detail other historic conflicts they don't go into in the main games. I'd love to see a game going into detail the Succession War, and the First Fire Bringer War. I'd say let the main series finish, then go on with spin off titles. And hopefully by the end of the main series, Suikoden will be popular enough here in North America that Konami will release some of those nifty art and info books over here.

i would love them to actually show the connection between Yuber and Permerga(spelling)) and see their battle end.

As unbelievable as it may be, I would like to see all the main characters who owned True Runes, to get together to fight a greater evil. A flik cameo would also be nice
wink

I changed my mind. Just bring back Flik heart

But that's already been confirmed- Knoami themselves have said that we will only be able to see the final battle between Yuber and Pesmerga (as well as the true reason as to why Pesmerga is constantly chasing Yuber) in the last Suikoden. So it's definitely going to be in the final installment.

If it indeed is going to be somewhere in the future (i.e. after Suikoden III, at least), won't Flik be rather...old? Suikoden III was set about 21 years into the future (I believe...I can't remember if it was 17 or 21 at the moment, actually), so if the final Suikoden is set in the future, we may be looking at a 60 year old Flik here.

...Not quite a pleasant thought.

It would be tragic if they ever stopped making the Suikodens

However, if they kept stretching the entire series with more succession wars, it would become a running joke and become rather boring, wouldn't it? I think it's better the Suikoden series did have an ending- but the ending has to be spectecular, of course. xd

meant that if one died from an accident of some sort or something to that effect

Well....it's (admittedly) hard to imagine either Riou or Jowy getting involved in accidents. In any case, as far as I know, it is impossible for True Rune bearers to die of natural causes, unless it's because they were killed by someone/something. And I believe that both of them should be strong eonugh to take on any other monsters in the world of Suikoden by then. biggrin

I don't believe Jowy and Riou have immortality. Somewhere I read that the Runes they bear aren't true True Runes, since they both separate components of a True Rune, and they don't get the benefit of immortality. However, should one of them die of something and the other half is taken by the other, thus forming the Rune of Beginning, then they will have immortality. So chances of us seeing Jowy and Riou non-aging together in some far off future based Suikoden is unlikely.

you are right neither Jowy or Riou have immortality because unlike the gate ruins ((magically seperated to front and back)) it is not complete alone
