Ahh Movie Talk. I just saw two very nice romantic movies. Under The Tuscan Sun,which was very beautifully set in Tuscany which is where my fathers family came from so that was a treat to see. And the other was so good that I cried, The Notebook. If you haven't seen it and are a total hopeless romantic like myself then this is a movie for you. Bring plenty of tissues though. Critics bashed it because it was predictable but hey most movies are nowadays anyway.

i NEVER listen to what film critics say, they're way too far up their own bottoms most of the time. i really miss going to the cinema but a 20 mile walk is just TOO far!
a lot of my favourite films are ones from the 80's. real cheesy family movies that are often shown on a saturday afternoon. nothing deep about them, just proper feel good, make you laugh films, nearly always with a sappy ending too.
2 of these are :- *Batteries not included and, Flight of the Navigator.
got a soft spot for Beverly Hills Cop too. Am i the only one afflicted in this way??
i'd like to know what everyone elses older favourites are, the one's that make you smile when you see them listed in the TV guide

We just rented a reallygood movie last night. Employee of the Month starring Matt Dillon & Christina Applegate. It kinda reminded me of Last Supper (with Cameron Diaz and some others i can't remember..also a fantastic movie if you haven't seen it yet). We rented it on someone else's recommendation. I can't tell you much of what it's about other than Matt Dillon plays a guy that has a really really REALLY bad day.

Also saw Fat Albert (cute!) and Mr. 3000 (not as funny as I expected, but not totally bad). I'm sure come Sunday we'll rent more lol That's all we seem to do. We're such a boring couple!

As bad a day as Ben Stiller seems to have in a lot of his movies? (especially Meet the Parents!)

Has anyone seen Meet the Fockers yet? We wanted to see it last weekend but it wasn't playing. We saw The Pacifier though.. *drool* (Of course, I drool over anything with Vin Diesel in it...)

OMG i couldn't even finish watching Meet The Parents!! There's no way I'm going to see Meet the Fockers. My sister did tho and said it was funny. I'm just not into that comedy of errors thing. I get too mad cuz it's usually all stupid stuff they do to get them in trouble.

Employee of the Month is a much much darker comedy.

WAAAAAAAH! I forgot about those! Are you going to see the remake of Willy Wonka this summer with Johnny Depp? *drool* I'm so torn, cuz there's no way it can be better than Gene Wilder, but it's Tim Burton and he's a genius, so I'm sure we'll be there at the theatre.

Oh, I'll see it, deffinitely! I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. You take the both of them and add a story like Willy Wonka, and you have an amazing movie. I actually just bought the Gene Wilder version...it's a classic and always will be.

heart So many of the movies you guys mentioned are movies that make me smile no matter how many times I see them. I love The Princess Bride and have it on DVD.The Last Unicorn is a classic and I would love to see it again. Willy Wonka of course, so many great lines in that movie. Movies with music are great even though most people think they are corney.

LOL, yeah I get mad watching it and I feel all aggravated and irritated inside because of all the unfair stuff that happens, but if you watch it all the way through, things eventually work out for the better, and it's good inspiration to remember that no matter HOW bad things get, it's still ok in the end. heart (I mean, if he can put up with all that, I can certainly handle one headache or temper tantrum from Jade...)
