"After this, I have an hour long break, then Chemistry at 10 AM. After another break, I have Health class at noon. One more hour break, then I'm a Library Aide. I think I'm going to be joining the Band, if I can learn how to play an instrument." Elizabeth rubs her collar and plays with her hair as she speaks to the boy next to her.

"Really? I have chemestry and health too! I already play, so I'll be here for my fourth block. I play the Trombone." He pointed at himself confidently, laughing at himself. "So what do yo-"

Koroji burst through the door with a loud "SLAM!" He walked down, unlocked his office door, got his stuff, and went to the Theory class-room door. He unlocked it. "IN!" He still steamed under the coller.

He quickly got up, offering to help Elizabeth.

"Cool! Maybe I'll see you in those classes." Elizabeth opened her mouth to talk about instruments when Nagenami-sensi burst through the door. She closed her mouth, listening to what the teacher said. Getting up without the help from Michael. "I need to go ask Nagenami-sensi something." Walking over to her teacher, she bowed and asked. "Nagenami-sensi, may I get my books and stuff from your office?" She stayed in her bow, waiting for his response.

He sighed. "Yes, of course." He sounded like he was trying to calm down. "Take these keys and get your books. Make sure you lock the door as you come out and don't move anything, please." He handed her the keys and entered the room, rushing to the front.
"Alright, I appologize to you for the period of absence, but I had some things to take care of. Roll, then. Aranami, Sako."
-"Here!" A girl in a uniform witha dress stood up and bowed.
"Kirodaki, Hiruma"
-"Here!" The other boy stood up and bowed.
"Maka, Hiko"
-"Here!" A girl with long black hair stood and bowed at the answer of roll.
"Shehan, Elizabeth"

Quickly, Elizabeth goes and gets her books out of his office, making sure to lock up. Walking back to the music theory room, she entered just as her name was called.
"Here!" Pausing in the doorway to bow, she continued towards the front of the room to return his keys. Bowing again as she placed them onto the table, she walked to a desk near Michael and sat down. Whispering, "I'm sorry I didn't accept your help up, I just really had to talk to him. Please forgive me."

He nodded, accepting his keys back. "Alright. Yohokiro, Michael."Here.
"Excelent. Now, you are all here to learn about music. I have two sheets that we're going to go over to help you understand a little bit more about how to read music. This will be your first step in understanding it."
He handed out a sheet of music to each of them. He then followed with another sheet.
"Now, Can anyone tell me what the cleff is on the first sheet?"

Elizabeth hesitantly raises her hand, studying the paper. She looks around hesitantly, seeing that no one else raised their hand. She starts to lower it, and raises it again. Her hand rubs her collar as she waits to be called on.

"Yes, Elizabeth?" He looked pleased at her. He took a quick second to sit down, getting out his own copies of the sheets.
Michael raised his hand too, winking at Elizabeth.

Elizabeth stands up and bows slightly in respect. "Um. Nagenami-sensi, Is it the symbol at the begining of the row?" She looks down at the paper again, tensing a bit, worried about getting it wrong.

"It is." He nodded. "Yohokiro-san, do you know its name?" He looked down at the slightly eager-looking boy.
He smiled, stood, bowed and then proceeded with his answer. "It is a Treble Cleff, sir. Also known as G Cleff. It is the higher of the two cleffs."
"Very good and very thorough, Yohokiro-san. Excellant work." He nodded. "Now, do you know what the other cleff is?"
"I ought to, sir. I play it. That's bass cleff, or F Cleff." He sat down.
"Alright. Can anyone other thank Yohokiro-san tell me why they have these interesting names?"

Elizabeth smilesand sits down. Looking over her paper again, she listens to the questions being asked by Nagenami-sensi. Realizing she doesn't know the answer, she pulls out her notebook and pencil, and starts to take notes. Pausing to wait for the answer, she looks up at Nagenami-sensi, waiting for the answer.

Hiruma raised his hand.
"Yes, Kirodaki-san, what is it?"
He stood up. "Yes, it's because the dot on each of these cleffs mark that note. Treble marks where G is on the staff, and Bass marks where F is on the staff."
"Good work. Yes. These dots on the differant cleffs mark where those certain notes are ont he staff. If you are having a hard time reading a cleff, then using these to your adventage is a good idea. Now, reading cleffs and staffs is a little differant. You must know what each line and space stands for."
He moved over and drew a staff with a treble cleff on it. "Alright, so, when you're in Treble cleff, from bottom to top, lines are E G B D F. Spaces are F A C E. On Bass, lines are G B D F A, while spaces are A C E G. Understood?" He turned back making sure he was understood.

As soon as Nagenami-sensi started talking, Elizabeth started writing. She copied down everything, using the lines in her notebook for the lines on the staff. When she heard him ask if everyone understood, she paused in her writing. Looking up, Elizabeth made eye contact with her teacher, nodding her understanding.

Elizabeth looked around quickly, seeing how many people were paying attention. She saw that most people were either looking at their notebook or textbook, not making eye contact. There was at least one person in the room who looked half asleep, but she wasn't sure who that was. Turning her gaze back to Nagenami-sensi, she waited with her pencil poised over her notebook for the rest of the class to continue.
I wonder how long he's going to keep us here on the first day. I hope he doesn't notice that girl on the otherside of the room who's sleeping. Damnit, I can't believe my neck still hurts. How long does this pain last?!
Elizabeth rubs the collar around her neck, like she's trying to scratch an itch.
