I found it means "gradually," and that a word for those stepped rice fields is "dan dan batake"

Today's words:-
Sugoi すごい = Great!
Goukaku 合格 「ごうかく」 = Pass (in exams or job interviews)
Tsumaranai つまらない = Bored, boring
Kechi けっち = Stingy
Hakukoku 白告「はくこく」 = Confess (usu a love interest in sb else)
