I've written maybe 3 of songs. Most follow some basic chord pattern, but it sounds good. I wrote one for my band, it's completely instrumental, in Drop D. and I wrote another instrumental one in standard with my band.
I'm not really that advanced yet, so I can't keep a scale pattern going for too long a time... well, at a pretty average tempo anyway...

I am with me somtimes I'll plan them but they dont always come fast, but songs that just pop out of my head get put down fast! Mostly start out a instrumental and slowly gain lyrics.

I'm having a lot of problems fitting stuff together at the moment. I have loads of lyrics, and loads of guitar part ideas, but the tunes I have in my head for the lyrics don't work for the guitar, and I can't think of any guitar parts to fit. Oh, and I'm hating my GCSE music group. We got together just before the holidays, to agree on stuff to work on for September. Well, I'm the only guitarist, with a clarinet player, a drummer, 2 pianists, a violinist and a cellist. So they're all (except Chris the drummer) being really funny about guitar. Like, they don't want to play backing parts for my compositions, if a guitar's going to be the lead instrument. Even though I'm playing keyboard (which I have minimal knowledge of) for someone else. The main problem is, I have big ideas. Like, I need three violinists for the bridge of one song. Nothing else, just the bridge. And you try finding 3 violinists who'll listen to a guitarist. Awkward sods all think they know better. Oh, and my band's split up, so I'm getting no help from there either. I objected to the fact that I always got crappy chords, and the others got lead keyboard parts. So yeah, I sulked. And we never had similar musical opinions/tastes anyway, so I don't suppose it was going to last. So, basically, I'm trying to do full scale orchestrally type pieces by myself. That's double tracking going too far.

I've only written like 3 songs so far.I have written them all by myself.I don't see why my band thinks that I have to write them but yeah somebody has to do it.

I have written three full songs, the guitar part for an unwritten song and a bunch of orphan verses. I don't write songs too much. It sounds corny, but I need inspiration to do it.

Aevona I have written three full songs, the guitar part for an unwritten song and a bunch of orphan verses. I don't write songs too much. It sounds corny, but I need inspiration to do it. Not corny at all. Imo, if you don't have good inspiration, your song wouldn't be as good. Also, for me, I've written MANY songs. My inspiration was basically my life and how I'm constantly rejected and stuff.... Ahaha, anyways, at the time I always think "OMFG THIS IS A F***ING MASTERPIECE LOL I'M A GENIUS." At least a LITTLE bit. But then, after a while, I look back and think "lol wut?" My works need more refining and they often do get trashed. I've made loads of songs but pretty much none of them were really that good. I'm a better guitarist than a songwriter so I do enjoy my progressions and trying to get a different sound than using just I, ii, iii, IV, V, vi.

Let me see...
I wrote a total of about 8 for my band. I had about 3 written that never made it to fruition. I've written about 13 songs on my own. Only about half of which are worth my time now.
Total: ~24 Good: ~13
EDIT: Damn I've come a long way. That guy up there, [Macabre], yeah that's me about 3 years ago.
