Zayne had left before Kaede could even shoulder her things. She walked out of the tavern after him, in the direction Aislinn had gone. She saw him be attacked by a half Tanuli girl. Dodging out of sight, she started to prepare a fire ball spell to help him, when she heard manical laughter. Turning, she saw the Tanuli girl roll off Zayne and Aislinn appeared with a gryphon boy((man??)). They seemed as surprised as Kaede was to see the Tanuli girl laughing her head off. Stepping out of her hiding place, she extinguished her ball of flame and cautiously approached the extremely....diverse group.
"Zayne? Aislinn? Are you ok?" She called out, so as not to surprise anyone with her presense.

((Hee.))
Zayne jumped slightly, and wheeled around to face the new voice. Seeing that it was Kaede, h egave a light sigh of relief, and smiled happily. His motions denoted that he was fine...If a little dampened from being tackled to the ground. Always the eternal optimist, the young sorceror smiled again, cocking his head to one side slightly.
"I am quite alright...And it appears Miss Aislinn is too. We can go back to whatever we were doing, before we decided to interfere."

" Oh must we go back? I was so looking forward to an adventure..." Kaede teased lightly, cocking her head to one side and playing carelessly with a rainbow fireball in her hand. Her eyes sparkled with the thought of an adventure and some sort of excitement.
Kaede suddenly threw the fireball into the air and grabbed her bow and arrow. With great agility, she shot the arrow into the fireball so that both disintigrated in midair.

{{I swear, I haven't forgotten you guys! sweatdrop }}
"You can stay with us," Aislinn said, flicking a finger at them. "Our camp's here."
She turned and walked back into the trees, ducking to avoid the low branches. Kenaz followed her, still supporting Osyth. When they got to the camp, Aislinn had started a fire which had vague glints of sliver. "We're all odd here. You'll have to just learn to respect it without drawing attention to it."
"Aislinn's right," Kenaz murmured, speaking to the others for the first time. "I'm half Gryphon, Osyth is half Tanuli, and Aislinn's half dragon. She doesn't look it because she had shapeshifter's powers and can shift back and forth, but there's no way Osyth can hide herself, and I have to be really careful," he looked at his blue-and-copper wings with a mixture of pride and annoyance. "We find it's better to stay away from other people most of the time."

((I know. n.n))
Zayne blinked, his face taking on an expression of naievety. He might have been an uber-powerful sorceror, but he was pathetically unaware of how people treated others, who appeared different.
Besides that, he had originally come from a town where many of the residents were either Demi-Human, or even completely unhuman. Mostly elves, or nymphs, but he didn't see too much difference in that domain. He himself was fully human, but he had had a number of non-human friends back home.
"Why? You look all fine to me...You have gorgeous wings, and Miss Osyth has very beautiful eyes..."

"Not everyone's so open hearted as you," Kenaz began, but Osyth interrupted.
"You're kidding, right? No one's ever called me so much as pretty before." She peered at him suspiciously wondering about a hidden motive. Aislinn rolled her eyes at her youger friend. "And please leave off the Miss, it makes me uncomfortable," the half-Tanuli girl continued.
"Excuse me, but if I might interrupt," Aislinn interrupted, "Maybe we should be getting some sleep? I'll take first watch," she said, answering Kenaz's unspoken question.

"Err...Well, I..."
Zayne was visably uncomfortable under the girl's close scrutiny. There was no desire to trick her, or to manipulate any of them, in any way. Why should he? Thoghut he had backup as an Enchanter, he had never found use of it yet. It was just something he was good at.
"Y..Yes...But, do you three not wish to sleep in a hotel?"

Osyth gave him a look. "Do you honestly think they'd let me in? You're more naive than I thought. I'm only fifteen, and even I know that I wouldn't be welcome in the city proper. Where do you think I got most of these scars?" She left him to ponder that and yanked a blanket out of one of the leather packs that was sitting near the fire. Without further ado, she wrapped it around herself and laid down.
Kenaz chose not to comment, thinking that Osyth had already said enough. He accepted a blanket from Aislinn and sat down with his back against a tree, looking at Osyth in an almost fatherly way. Aislinn ignored them both and turned into a ten foot long silver dragon, including the tail. She stalked away and the faint sounds of her patrolling the area could be heard from the camp.

Kaede comfortably plopped down onto the ground, pulling a cloth out of her bag. She touched it with her finger and the cloth seemed to become engulfed in flames that grew until suddenly, they went out. In Kaede's lap lay a large, warm blanket which she promptly wrapped around herself and lay down.
"I'm willing to take any sort of watch." She called out before she shut her eyes. "I maybe be a novice witch, but i've gotten pretty sufficient with my other magic craft...enough to at least hold off any enemies untill you wake up that is." There was a slight teasing in her voice as she closed her eyes, not really asleep yet.

Upon Osyth's hard words, Zayne almost winced. Okay, he did wince. But, only slightly. He didn't believe that they'd be hurt, but apparently the tow who knew thought so, and as such were probably right. His cheeks flushed red slightly, though that could possibly have been from the rain.
Unsure of whether he was supposed to stay, or go home, Zayne looked around. Somehow,, he just didn't know. Although, it appeared none of the Demi-Humans wanted him around, so he was partially tempted to leave.
Before he got an idea. Many of the sorcerors in his guild were Demi-human...Some of them weren't even human! Granted, they were mostly Elves, and Sylphs, but the trio wouldn't be too out odf place.
"Uhmm... Maybe at the guild? There're lots of rooms for people visiting, and if I say you people are visiting me... They'll give you a room..."

"Thanks, but no thanks," Osyth told him, not turning to face him. "I've gotten used to sleeping on the ground, and I don't think I'd be comfortable with walls and a roof around me." Kenaz shook his head, though his eyes showed that he understood Zayne's point of veiw. Aislinn was nowhere to be seen, but the quiet sounds of her walking could be heard aound the edge of the camp.
"You're welcome to stay with us for a while," Kenaz murmured, "Both of you, for as long as you want." Osyth snorted, but offered no further comment. Within minutes, they were both asleep.

Although Zayne couldn't help but feel vaguely uncomfortable with Osyth's intense dislike of him, the young sorceror complied with Kenaz's offer, sitting down quietly. Closing his eyes for a moment, the stripling summoned up some fire spirits to keep the motley crew warm and dry...Or, at least more so than they would have been without them.
Smiling slightly once this was accomplished-- for, it always made the young man happy to be of service, no matter how small the task was-- Zayne curled up quietly where he sat, his eyes lidding slowly. Eventually, he fell asleep, curled up under the relative dryness and warmth of his cloak.

"Thanks!" Kaede grinned. Mentally shrugging, Kaede snuggled under her blanket and fell asleep with a smile upon her face.
((arrg i know its only a sentance that this is completely against this forum's rules...but there isn't much going on right now and its late and i just wanted SOMETHING to be posted and i know i should just make something happen and that its really sad that my OOC is longer than my inital post, but i promise to post more next time and if you want proof that i'm actually good at posting, read my fanfic sometime.
