Well, I'm home! This land is starting to really feel that way, and the castle is a welcome sight. I only brought Winny with me, I thought that Filix needed to get used to one baby first. We snuck in at night, I didn't want to cause any problems. There's nothing to fear in the night, right? I love the night, and the moon is starting to go full again. It's a lovely feeling.
Anyway. I accidently woke up Filix. But she seemed pleased about Winny, tired but pleased.
In the morning, I was going to talk to her, find out everything that I'd missed. But I was tired, Winny was hungry, and Filix seemed distracted. She's a teenager though. I can't press her to talk, can I? She's fine, I'm sure she is.
I'm sure there's a lot of news though. I'll have to get out of this chamber soon to see who can update me.

Rosa's being attacked by fireflies, and after a brave 'rescue' attempt, is freed... and smelling of a strong cheap purfume. Filix gets slightly hassled about Equus, thanks to a slipup. XD

Oh well. Either way, Rosa is going to torture me with this... again. I'm the older sister, but now I'm the younger one...? She's going to love that! And the worst part is that she knows something is between Equus and I. I did not want to tell her, and I still don't. But she's an adult now...
Maybe this will be to my advantage! Are not adults more mature? Maybe she will be too mature to think that she needs to know all the 'gossip'. And maybe she will finally calm down with that obsessive way of thinking...? So perhaps I have the upper hand now! Or perhaps not.
I still haven't finished that letter to Equus. I don't know what to say in it.
And Muris thinks I am fighting with Rosa? I... is this a way of fighting? Can't you not like sides of a person, make your dislike obvious, and still not be fighting?
BAH!
I think I need to go for a ride to clear my head.

I'M AN ADULT! Countess Filix. I don't feel so inclined to resist my fated title now, I am relieved to admit. I just felt so trapped before. However, I've decided that there are some things, some desires and loves in my life that I cannot deny. I'll just have to keep them slightly more hidden from everyone.
My first step was barely a day after I felt my last pain of growing. I approached Queen Lilium's kithain, Washu, and offered my services as a bouncer in her tavern. (She does not call it that.) I'll be able to keep an eye on people. This tavern is neutral ground for the Moon Court and the Sun Court. And I'll be one of few to keep it fight free!
I admit, that wasn't quite what I intended. And I will not be going as Countess Filix, I'll disguise myself. I remember all too well how much the King, when he was a boy, tried to stop me from climbing trees... imagine his reaction if I tell him I'm to guard a tavern! I really don't like the keeping a secret bound to be seen as shameful (If not by the Court, by Rosa... heh.) , but until I'm sure of if he'd approve or not, it's probably safer.
And it's very good practice for future endeavors that I might have my eye on...
I think I might approch Eirnae, Neith's adopted sister. Neith trusts her with her life, and I trust my kithain. Maybe Eirnae might know something about sword or staff work? Or know somewhere I may be able to get one of either of my own?
And an adult for only a few days, and already I've been around. I came just in time to see Alces grow into an handsome adult, I saw Aes in his teenage body... a recent change, I've heard... and poor Muris was upset at how we were all changing around her.
I visited Ursa later that day, and after the meeting, I think we should go riding together sometime. She's a very sweet girl.

As I write this, I am curled up on my bed watching one of Neith's strange movies. This one isn't as bad though. I love it... I should invite Equus over to come watch it with me. It is called 'Lord of the Rings'. I think though, that I would have to ask him to stay the night with me, I'm sure I could make him a bed on Neith's bed if I agree to change the sheets. She could spend the night in Gaia, I'm sure. These movies are what Neith calls 'extended'. And best to be watched in a row, so he would have to stay for many hours. I hope it isn't too improper to ask him though.
I suppose it's not his opinion I worry about, but Rosa's. What if she were to find out about this?
Oh well. I'll just forget to tell her about it. I'm sure she won't mind at all.
But I have not spoken to Eirnae yet. I've been using a piece of wood in the gardens secretly, and my magic for concealment is starting to really work well.

Alces quietly walked down the corridors of the castle. With him, he had a globe for Filix. The man set the globe down just off to the side of Filix's door and smiled to himself as he leaned the small note against the base of the globe. He took one last look at the flowers in the globe and began walking back to his own chambers. The note read:
Dear Friend-
When I saw this globe, I thought of you. It has a wonderful shade of green, and I'm going to guess you like the color green. I wasn't sure about the colors of the flowers inside, but they do go nicely with the green don't you think? I hope you enjoy the gift.

(While out wandering in Gaia, as he so often did, Alces had seen this globe and decided to get it as a gift for Filix.)

Filix tiptoed along the passage ways of the castle, hiding her precious sword in the folds of her skirt. Normally, she wouldn't wear as much clothing as she was now, and it would probably look odd to anyone who saw her. But then, she had been outside, and in the shade it was chilly today. That was her story.
She paused at her own door, surprised to see two gifts and two notes waiting for her. Filix picked up the first, a globe, and watched some beautiful flowers and green leaves bob gently inside. The note said it was from Alces, and Filix smiled. He was right, the flowers went perfectly with the colors. She loved the flowers... bright and cheerful!
Filix then bent to pick up a pale fan, running her finger over the smooth white toned wood. It was different to the globe, a much calmer set of colors, not like the warm colors of the globe. The two seemed to match each other. THis was from Muris, the writing in the scrawl of a child. But written so perfectly in spelling, (From what Filix could make out) Miss Shiaree had to have helped.
"I'll have to go shopping for these two." Filix decided with a grin, and moved into her chambers with the notes, the presents and her sword.

I went to see Pappila a few days before, and finally, got the courage to speak to Eirnae. It went better than I had hoped! I now am the owner of a sword, Pappila of a book, and she gave me a leaf pin that is the most beautiful thing... I don't want to ever take it off.
I have been to the saloon a few times now, once visiting. To be truthful, at the moment the saloon is quite calm and quiet, but it shall pick up when our court grows and strengthens. I love it there, working there will be not a problem at all.
The twins have put me off motherhood even more. They cry, wet themselves, they get into everything now that they're walking and make huge fusses. Neith tells me that they'll get better as they get older. And she is right. The last week, the twins have been much more subdued. I went for a walk with Elle not too long ago, she loves the fireflies at night. Even with the bad side of them, I'm starting to feel a strong bond for them both. I'll miss them when Neith cannot carry them in, as much as I hate to admit it.

No, I don't.. I just don't know. I'm not a teenager anymore, and shouldn't this kind of confusion only happen during those years? Doesn't adulthood mean ... well... What does it mean?
In short, I've felt stirrings of feelings for another man. ...man, that's a laugh. He's a teenager as well! Two teenagers, and I feel for both! There must be something wrong with me, as I'm not even sure if the second makes sense. I could just be very fond of him, he is intelligent, after all. His mind is so... and the way he can talk to my sister, without batting an eyelid... And who he is...
And now I feel guilty, because while I think and feel that, I still also feel for Equus. Equus has been gone so much, diary, and I don't like the idea of sitting around and waiting. But I have, havn't I? Even though I didn't like it, I did it.
Pappila grew into a beautiful teenager, by the way. Diary, I am so proud of her! I cannot wait to see her magical skills.
