Morriganna It's like here, where all the highschoolers are wearing Hamtaro and Hello Kitty >< And.. I <3 Tamagotchis~ I had a "custom" one because we had to swap out the buttons on mine, so it was yellow with pink buttons. XD I may just have to buy another one >.> And... I want loose socks T-T But I would have to buy weird man-socks until I can afford to go to Seattle and wander around Japan-town. Plus, I think I would always want to take them off, since they'd almost always be falling off XD And... Mmmm.. Ganguro girls >< We have those here. They're called whores. And... Stuff. I dunno. I think tan people look.. weird. But then again, my skin reflects sun, so I never tan 3nodding Hey....Sanrio is cute...Hamtaro, now that is immature. I don't wear sanrio stuff, but I have the pens, candy, pencil case, erasers, well......stationary and some stuffed animals...but yeah. I still have the original first tamagochis, I liked mine. But it gets boring... I have no use for socks, but yes those loose socks are cute, if only I had a use for them in Hawaii, we don't even wear shoes unless...it's like required, otherwise we wear slippers (flip flops, as people from the maidland call it) Gangaro girls aren't whores...what a bad steriotype, have you read the graphic novel "Peach Girl", they get that steriotype in Japan and it isn't nice. Maybe I'm more...offended by it because I live in Hawaii and I'm tan and Japanese...

Yeah, I know Sanrio is cute, but when these seniors are wearing all this s**t that's meant for 5 year olds, it's weird. I mean, I love Sanrio, but it's like teenagers wearing stuff like Teletubbies. Stupid. NOW!! On the whole Ganguro thing. Yes, I have read Peach Girl. I bought it way back in like, 98 when it first game out. And that is where I got the basis of that statement. Girls who are called Ganguro go and get *fake* tans and bleach their hair, and then wear way too much make up. Now...I've seen real Ganguro girls. They go to the extream. The look like they're a light skinned African-American. And their hair is like.. oh.. I dunno.. Gwen Stafani's. I didn't mean it rudely, I'm just saying when girls in Japan do that, they're labled Ganguro because they *try* to be skanky. Mind you, Momo's case was totally different, but you have to realize her situation was different. She tanned like crazy and had naturally light hair. But I'd say 99% of Japanese people have black or brown hair and don't tan that easily. So yes. I'm really sorry if I offended you ^^;; I guess I didn't really explain what I consittered Ganguro, and what not. I'm sorry T______T

It's not really about the hair or the tan alone. It's just the fact that they put those two things together. Really really tanned skin and bleach Blonde hair look very bad together. Maybe if the tans weren't so... extreme... Besides don't they know, they're increasing their chances of skin cancer.

UGH, I was just watching Utaban and NEWS was a guest on it, and I just remembered...
I HATE THE IDOL PHENOMENON!!!! xp stressed xp stressed domokun
Do Japanese really see how futile and pediophilic most of the idol crap is!? If you`ve seen a typical photo book of a cutesy idol (MoMusu girls, Matsuura Aya) you`ll see there is a lot of suggestive stuff other than just pictures of your favorite star. Do these girls (sometimes as young as 12!) realize what they make themselves look like!?
Plus there is the 15-minutes-of-fame factor. They have a one-hit wonder, usually attached to a campaign of sorts (NEWS and the Olympic girls` volleyball team last year), and then get replaced by something similar (in Johnny`s Entertainment groups, most of the boys look EXACTLY the SAME, group after group after group). It`s REDICULOUS!
Sometimes they will have an idol from 80s on a talk show, and for fun they will show a picture of her from her idol days. Almost ALL of these now grown-up woman cringe, scream, yell in embarrassment, and generally show a look of "what the hell was I thinking" when their idol shots are shown.
Same goes for gravia idols. It all seems so disposible, yet these girls do anything to get into it. And most of the idolish singers are talentless... hence the big group factor to disguise the voices.
Ugh it just makes me sick how men worship these eternal children. How do those 20+ year olds feel in Momusu?
Ugh. I`ve had my rant. sad

Quote: Guitar Samurai: He is just what he's called. A samurai in kimono, playing a guitar. A comedic singer, he frequently makes cracks at celebrities (Pe Yon-sama!), and on a performance on Music Station, he stole the show with the full length version of his song. His catch phrase is "iu janaiiiiiii" in a voice reminicent of Keanu Reeves ala Bill and Ted. It's hilarious, you must download this track too! He song is basically this year's "Nan de darou" (Tetsu and Tomo). Hata Youku is pretty funny, but I have the feeling that his "tte iu janai" schtick is going lose its appeal pretty soon. I do like it when he's on エントの神様... the jokes he pulls off mocking people are pretty amusing.

I read somewhere that even with girls, baggy clothes are pretty trendy in Japan. I don't know if it's still in over there, but I think that's, like, hella weird. Baggy clothes on girls? Especially Japanese girls... sad
