Koroji stepped into the student union. He walked up to the food desk and bought a tuna-fish sandwich. He then moved over to the coffee booth. "Um, hello, could I please get a large coffee? Black, please."

He got his coffee and sat down with contemplative thoughts. It had been quite a day so far, and tomorrow he would have his band class, finaly. He had waited for this so long. "I hope they are willing to work. I won't go easy on them." He smiled to himself and took a drink of coffee. "Not bad. That's surprising."

"Er... em." Kenji was caught quite off-guard by Sachiko's comment. He knew she was joking, but he still couldn't think of a response, so he just sort of shrugged and mumbled something unintelligible.
As usual, Kotone was amused by his discomfort. She giggled a bit, looking back at Sachiko. "Sorry, Shinohara-san, but as you well know, Kenji and I have an agreement. We're contractually obliged to be together at least another year." She took another drink of her water. "After that, who knows. I just hope we're out of here by then."
"Yeah... I don't know why we haven't graduated yet. It's not like we killed anyone," Kenji said. "Though some of us tried," he added with a sideways glance at Kotone.
"What's that look for? I was stressed. Let's leave it at that." She nodded toward Raven, smiling at her. "We're ignoring our new friend. I'm sorry."

Raven smiled. "No no, it's alright." She said iwth a bright smile. "Im just glad to meet some nicer people here. I've meet some pretty strange people so far...Some scare me alot." She said with a shiver. "I start classes tommorow, Im looking forward to them." She said as she got up and walked over to the garbage and threw away her cup then went back and sat down. "So..any advice for surviving here?" She asked with a smile.

Sachiko delighted in Kenji's discomfort, then flapped a hand at kotone, didmissing the technicalities she mentioned.
"What do I care about promises. Kenji-kun is cute. How you don't walk around holding his hand all day long, I'll never understand. " She bat her lashes flirtatiously. Finishing off her ice she hopped off the table, tossing the wilting paper cup into a trashbin, but keeping the spoon in her mouth.
"Nah, no advice really. Except keep under the teacher's rador. Not everyone is a nutcase, but you never know. Some of em are as bad as some of the student's, ne?"

Koroji couldn't help but laugh a little. He had been hearing the teenager's conversation and it had touched him a little. He didn't find anything funny, it just reminded him of his days in High School. That group reminded him alot of some of the kids he used to hang out with. What days those were.

"Er... thanks," Kenji muttered, still not sure how to respond. He took Sachiko's comment as a compliment, but it was still a bit awkward.
"Oh, I know he's cute. I'm not complaining. We're just more cut out to be friends than anything else.. right, Kenji?" Kotone smiled at him. "Our personalities conflict."
"Yeah... they do."Kenji shrugged. Truthfully, he wouldn't mind if he and Kotone were more than friends. She was actually a nice person if you got past her ego. It would have been nice if this had worked out, he thought. But it hadn't. So... whatever.
Kotone, oblivious as usual, took another drink of water. "Hmm.. ooh, advice," she said as if just realizing that was the topic Raven was asking about. She leaned forward, thinking. "Hm... Well, don't get in anyone's way, I suppose. You never know what they did to get here.... I mean, we're safe, but I swear... There's this one new kid, he looks like a little girl, but I heard he's a complete psycho."
"Really?" Kenji raised an eyebrow. "Interesting."
"Yeah, really." Kotone nodded enthusiastically, then turned back to Raven. "And don't be late for class." She tapped her collar. "Have you been zapped yet? These things hurt. Basically, just follow the rules." She looked at Sachiko. "Anything else to add?"

Sachiko shook her head in response to Kotone's question. She'd really already imparted any advice she could think to offer. Raven would have to learn anything else like everyone ele did, trial and error. Sachiko yawned, casting a glance to the watch round her wrist.
"Oi, when the hell did it get so late," she grumbled, realizing the free day was coming to an end. "Did any of you guys see the announcement on the Auditorium doors? There's supposed to be an assembly tommorrow, bright and early. Wonder what that's about." She sighed. "I should totally go to bed, but I just can't seem to sleep before midnight."

"I'm a night person myself..and a morning person..which helps out sometimes and hinders others." She said as she glanced at Sachiko and blushed a tad. Her stomach rumbled reminding her that she hadn't had anything to eat since she came here other than the shaved ice. Raven put her hand to her stomach in order to still the rumblings but it didn't help much.

"Bah... you can't be both," Kotone said, waving a hand dismissively. She coughed again, instinctively putting a hand up over her mouth even though the mask she was wearing was supposed to stop any germs that would escape. She suddenly felt much worse than she had minutes earlier. "Ugh. What time is it?"
Kenji checked his watch, himself surprised he hadn't done so earlier. Usually he was almost obsessive in his need to know what time it was. "It's almost midnight."
"Well, that's my cue." Kotone stood up, swaying slightly. "I'm going to bed. I'll get a few hours respite from this monster cold or whatever it is." She gave a bright wave to Sachiko and Raven even as she trudged toward the door. "'Night."
"I should go too... don't want to miss curfew." Kenji stood up, twitching a smile at the other girls, and gave a slight bow. He always tried to be polite, particularly around girls. (Kotone was an exception, but then... she was Kotone.). "It was nice talking to you both. See you tomorrow, probably." He nodded a bit awkwardly and followed Kotone out the door.

Sachiko waved pleasantly after after Kenji and Kotone, pushing away from the table she leaned against. Plucking the plastic spoon from her mouth she tossed it into the waste basket. Grabbing Raven round the wrist she began to tow her towards the entrance.
"Oi, get the lead out, Lolita-chan. We should get to the girl's wing too, ne? I 'd like to think you'd rather your first shocking come later rather than sooner."

He stood up, shaking his head. "It's too late for me. Gosh, I must be getting old. I'm already tired and it's not even twelve yet, is it? Heh, it's been a while since those long band trips. Anyways, I guess I'll go." He tossed his trash away and walked out the door, yawning.

Kimi's eyes widened, and she turned to stare at Yuusuke. She nearly tripped over her own feet. He'd read it? She felt her heart skip once, then an embarassed flush suffused her face.
"You...you..." she paused and swallowed. "You didn't read...the back of it...did you?"
Stay calm, Kimiko. Stay calm. What are the odds? And besides, he would probably have said something about it, had he read it. No one reads the back of a notebook....

Yuusuke smirked. Heh...let me think...did I read the back?
He giggled a bit. "No, I didn't read any of the notebook, Kimiko. Why? Were you writing love letters?"
He smiled at her. "Don't worry. I don't get my kicks reading other people's private things. In fact, I didn't touch it except to pick it up from the ground and put it down on my dresser."

Kimi's jaw moved soundlessly a few times, and she blinked. He was...joking? Finally, her mouth closed and her eyes narrowed. She shoved roughly past him bumping his shoulder in the process, chin in the air, cheeks bright pink.
"I'll thank you not toy with me, Yuusuke-san." she said, huffily. "Now do you want that coffee or not?"
Well, no one ever claimed Kimiko Akanabe was ever one to take a joke.
